Every morsel I devoured was beautifully presented and delicious. Especially the mussel soup and grilled salmon BLT. Prior plans to eat here while in NY fell thru due to conflicts, so glad I finally got to try it.
Excellent service and location. Quiet enough to have a conversation with your partner. Well run establishment.
Had to ask for bread 3 times and only got it at end of meal
Seafood was very fresh. Clams and oysters were cold and delicious! Very lively place.
Great food. Would go back again for sure.
Amazing restaurant with very fresh seafood and great variety of fresh oysters!
Great fish and service.
Aquagrill is one of our favorite restaurants. We have been coming here since the inception and the food gets better and better. Everything is cooked to perfection, and the accompaniments to the fish are always inventive and delicious.
Amazing, as always.
Valentine’s Day — service was terrible
Special v-day menu was 150 plus beverages and service. For that amount they should have had their act together.
I have had positive experiences at this restaurant many times in the past, but this was a great disappointment.
Still fantastic after 20 years, or more. Succulent sensations from the sea perfectly prepared and served. A treat at all times.
Delectable food with outstanding service. This place is great for everyday dining or a special occasion!
25th Birthday celebration for our son. Outstanding food and accommodating service. Our favorite restaurant in NYC! Never disappoints!
I’m a frequent guest but my last experience was one of the worst. Waitstaff was not knowledgeable about wines and oysters, host did not recognize loyalty and request for a prime table and service was very slow.
The best!!! Been going here for over 15 years and have never had a bad meal!
Aquagrill is hands down our favorite restaurant in NYC. We make reservations every time we’re in the city. The staff always recognizes us and treats us like family. The food is out if this world and the service is amazing. Ask for Jose, he’s the best!
Good food, particularly raw bar. Great selection of oysters as well as fresh clams. Cherrystones were excellent!
The food and service was great but somehow a coat check lady demanded us to pay $3 because there were three coats. I never had such experience at a restaurant on this level and hope the restaurant takes the right action.
This is about the best restaurant in NYC. It is consistently superior on all counts.
As always the food was delicious; perfectly cooked. The service was also excellent, staff are competent and friendly. I notified staff that this was a birthday brunch and they brought over an on the house delicious desert and candle. Whether at a table or the bar, Aquagrill is totally reliable in always being a satisfying and fun experience. Once brought a relative that needed some food accommodations and the modifications were pleasantly executed.
Recommend with confidence!
I’ve been going to the Aquagrill for over ten years - but has never been to brunch. We had the French Toast and the Omelette - both were very good. We also had a delicious fruit plate on the side. The Aquagrill never disappoints.
Been coming here for over a decade and the team never disappoints!! Every meal better than the last and a great price point for a once in a lifetime meal.
Really excellent experience. Food was great as was our server. Nice evening all around.
Great Gluten Free options, delicious food, wonderful service!
Excellent, from the bread to the Cod appetizer to the fantastic Bronzino. Service top notch. Nice wine list. Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend! One of the best.
Always terrific, always reliable. Wonderful food, wonderful service. Couldn't be better!
Amazing food to celebrate a friend’s birthday!!!
Best oysters. Great fish.
An excellent fish place! Food creative but elegant. Very different preparations, yet enjoyable. Has lasted the test of time.
Tremendous meal this evening at AQUAGRILL. This is a restaurant that never disappoints. Some of the best seafood in nyc and an incredible oyster selection. Will be returning often
Bartender was great. Charlie? Great service. Great food too
Fun spot where oysters and booze are front and center. I went to lunch there got the cod cake sandwich. I prefer my food minimally spiced to let the main ingredient shine through but this sandwich was dominated by the pepper relish, etc.
Large annoying table of drunk “bros” ruined the ambience
It was awesome great food and large portions
Service overall is excellent. Our waitress was awful. Got many things wrong and worse yet, didn't seem to care
We Had Dinner with 9 friends; food was good, service was normal.
But for some reason (I can't figure out yet); the meal , Saki, and and desert was not very satisfying. Perhaps, I will give Aquagrill a second try.
We always visit Aquagrill when we go to NYC (which is about once a year). It never disappoints. The seafood is consistently fresh and well prepared. I had the bouillabaisse (again!) because it is so amazing. My husband had the mushroom truffled cod which he too said was superb. As an appetizer we always have oysters which are among the freshest around. In addition, we absolutely love the "little extras", like the assorted homemade breads they bring to you at the start of the meal (including a stick of cornbread!), the little amuse bouche between courses, and the gorgeous tiny homemade cookies at the end. Their wait staff is very professional and courteous without being pretentious. Desserts are also delicious. We particularly love the Coconut Panna Cotta.
We only have 2 small negatives. 1. Timing seemed a bit rushed on this visit. We would have liked a bit more time between the oysters and the mains. This is a higher end restaurant. No one likes to be rushed when eating a nice meal. 2. The lighting (and perhaps the seat arrangement) in the back part of the restaurant has always bothered me a bit. When we have been seated at the front, everything seems a bit more intimate. For some reason, when we have been seated closer to the back (as was the case this time), the lighting doesn't seem as intimate and I also feel "removed" from the whole vibe of the place. We now have eaten in both parts and definitely prefer the front end of the restaurant.
Great experience, but we were sitting in the back and it was way too hot. We were all sweating! Nevertheless , I would highly recommend and we will be back for sure.
I had a fantastic brunch. The service was on point, and the food was delicious. My guest and I ordered the lobster rolls.
