After more than 20 years of reliable food and service, Aquagrill recently let me down. The wait between courses was unconscionable. Had we not been with friends, I would have asked for the check and left. Management was apologetic and comped us desserts. An unusual failing at this dependable restaurant. I'll return happily -- the food is ambrosial -- but I hope that whatever was plaguing the kitchen is resolved.

We have been coming to the AQUAGRILL for years. Seafood is the best in the US and the service is impeccable. Plan on coming back for years to come. Thanks for a memorable evening.

I enjoyed a magnificent birthday dinner with my family at AQUAGRILL this evening. The service was great and everything was delicious from the oysters to the special Sea Bass entree to the olive oil chocolate cake. The greatest part of the meal was being surprised with a complimentary birthday dessert. Thank you, AQUAGRILL, for making my birthday even that more special & memorable.

Go early, as the noise is less then, by 7:30, it is pretty loud. The food and service is spectacular. This is one of our favorite restaurants.

I have been to AquaGrill many times and its always been fantastic! However have to say I was a bit disappointed this last time as I currently have to eat gluten and dairy free and I did not feel the kitchen was accommodating to my needs. My fish was very bland - guess they normally use a lot of butter to make things taste good. Not sure I will rush back b/c of this.

Consistently delicious fish restaurant with great service. A bit noisy.

Used to be good. Not anymore. Cod was microwave over cooked. When daughter asked about the vegetarian meal the waiter assured her that if she didn’t like anything on her plate they could change it out. The dish turned out to be literally a plate of vegetables with a small amount of potatoes and a rice ball. When my daughter asked for more rice balls, the manager judged her for wanting more and harassed her saying we’d have to pay 9 more dollars on top of the 32 for the vegetable plate.

Seafood as fresh and wonderfully prepared as can be. Such a wonderful experience!

Delicious food. May be pricey for somethings on the menu, but you get what you pay for. It’s worth every penny.

Great food and service and drinks

We have enjoyed dining at Aquagrille for dinner on "special" occasions for many years, but recently discovered how good brunch/lunch is at this very popular restaurant. Most recently we visited for a family get-together. As always, the kitchen delivered wonderfully on the interesting menu offerings. As always, the service was attentive but not intrusive. As always, the ambiance was lively and upbeat without being so loud as to impede our conversation.

Consistent excellence is the reason this restaurant remains very popular after so many years.

The food is expensive but very good, especially the oysters.The staff are also friendly and attentive.

A friend and I go here every few months, especially when oysters are at peak. We usually sit at the bar for dinner, and we always have a terrific time as well as an always excellent dinner. It's related, the bartender is engaging and funny, and everything comes together to make for a never-miss evening. Love this place and happy that it's still a mainstay since opening in 1985.

We had an amazing meal at Aqua Grill. The food was excellent. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. All the wait staff were helpful and nice. We especially loved the walnut pie with chocolate mousse. Great little extras that made our dining experience lovely. The main dining room was very loud but we sat on the heated patio which was cozy and much quieter. Some of the nicest staff we’ve encountered. From host to manager to all wait staff. Great dinner!

Every time we visit NYC Sunday brunch at Aquagrill is our tradition. Love it! A huge platter of Oysters, clams and various other seafoods washed down with a bottle of Blanc de Blancs Champange is one of life's true joys. Aquagrill has impeccably fresh high quality seafood, a great wine list and very friendly and professional service.

I have been to this restaurant many times and it continues to be my favorite seafood restaurant in NYC and one of my favorites restaurants overall. Excellent all around.

One of my all time favorite restaurants in NYC. Delicious oysters and martinis in two sizes (always go large). The falafel salmon is one of my favorite dishes ever.

Aquagrill was recommended to me by someone living in NYC. It was a great recommendation. Our server was terrific - friendly, knowledgable and just the right amount of attention to the table - not overkill. The food was terrific! Would definitely go again.
