About this restaurant

Aquacotta has two meanings - either boiling or cooked water. The name comes from an old Tuscan soup recipe I found in one of my books. We also have a seafood aquacotta dish which is our signature dish. It's like a seafood stew served in a traditional terracotta pot with fresh seafood and vegetables.

    Our food could be classified as modern Italian. Our motto is "old traditions, modern times" which the restaurant reflects. We make everything fresh on site including our desserts which are made daily. We've also purchased our own oyster lease where the oysters are grown specifically for us.

    Booked a table for 6 people who were coming from interstate through open table and upon arrival we were welcomed with a sign on the door that said they were closed for a few days. What a crappy way to begin our evening. Had to Google the restaurants in the area and thankfully found one that would takes us at short notice. Such poor service from both/either OpenTable and Aquacotta

    The service was excellent and the food was superb. I highly recommend the osso bucco. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. Although I live one and half hours away from it, I’ll definitely go back

    Our booking doubled from 6 to 11, we were accommodated without drama and we had a great night with beautiful food, everything came out as ordered, all together and very tasty with fabulous service

    Loved the atmosphere and delicious taste of authentic italian pizza. I'm so glad i am living so close to this venue

    Being a set menu we thought we'd be in and out. Staff was scarce and all over the place even thought none were rude service was almost non existent. From burnt arancini to constantly asking for our garlic pizza which only came when 3 our of 5 of us got our mains. It took more than an hour for 2 of our guests to get their pizza mains with multiple times asking staff on its whereabouts. This also included watching others come order take away and leave with pizzas and pastas in a matter of only 15min. Truly appalled at the service of a set menu night of a restaurant rated 4. All food needed salt, the chefs needed to double check what they were serving some items didn't match their description. But the gelato and panda cotta were great.
