We had an amazing birthday dinner, on the patio which is covered yet great open air setting with TV screens, so a little less formal which was perfect for us.
Our server genuinely cared that we had a wonderful experience. My husband found several things on the menu, so we’ll be back to try those.
Thank you for a perfect night out.
As always, the food and service was great. The Watermelon Napoleon and Avocado Bombs are delicious appetizers. Melt in your mouth fresh bread w/ sweet butter also good.
Great food and service as usual
Great food and service
To celebrate my wife’s birthday I looked for a restaurant that had an excellent rating, reasonable proximity and a menu that included seafood. We were not disappointed with Aqua. We arrived early and promptly greeted and subsequently seated on the patio. Our server was friendly and very informative to any question we had regarding the menu and beverage pairing. Our appetizer, “Avocado Bomb” was awesome as was our main entree, Chilean Sea Bass , both tasty and eloquently prepared and presented. Although a price range reserved for those special moments, it was more than worth it and we would not hesitate reserving another evening with Aqua.
One of the best restaurant of Detroit Metro. Original food, amazing ambient, spacious, chic and modern.
The wine prices are ridiculous. We would drink a lot more if the prices were more reasonable. You need more $70-80 price range.
This was my second time at Aqua, first time on a date with my husband and this time with a large group of friends. Both times were excellent. Food and drinks were delicious. The waitress (Diana from Transylvania I think) was AMAZING! She was very energetic and attentive to our group. It's nice to have such a nice restaurant close to home. It has a metro downtown vibe without the worry of parking. I'll definitely be back with more friends.
Food was good although the oil used for the rice was a little rancid. The restaurant itself looks like it needs a bit of a cleaning and some touchups to the bubbling and fingerprint stained wallpaper.
Great flavors and healthy portions
The food is really wonderful. Lots of nice blending of flavors
The food was phenomenal, service impeccable and the place was incredibly smart and clean.
Just one thing....location.
We sat 'outside' which clearly used to be a patio but is now covered. The ambience inside just didn't match what you saw around you - busy road and old houses.
Great food though!!
I can not begin to explain how DELICIOUS the food is at the restaurant...A MUST!!!
We used the Groupon for the set meal. Opted for the salmon. We specifically requested the vegetables be served warm. However, when the entrees arrived both the sticky rice and carrots were cold. It was fixed quickly and the meal was excellent. Attentive service, other than the temperature issue. We'll return.
Fine dining in Plymouth! Best dining experience this year! Service was top notch! Food and drinks...perfection! Go there ASAP!
One of the best restaurants in the area. The food and service are exceptional.
Delicious, can’t wait to go back.
The cocktails are perfect. Excellent dinner and remarkable deserts. Highly recommend the 7 hour slow braised short rib from the dinner menu.
Wonderful service. The food was delicious and beautifully served. A tad expensive but worth it for a special occasion!!
I used a Groupon for this first visit so we had a fixed menu for two that included a house salad for each of us, the choice of either chicken or salmon (got both and shared), creme brulee, and a bottle of wine. First off, on this fixed menu, everything was great. We also added on a Tiger Shrimp app per recommendation of our waiter and that was tasty. Highlights included, Shrimp App, Bread w/ Bourbon butter, and my wife raved about the Greek dressing.
We were here to celebrate our anniversary and everything was perfect!
Very nice restaurant. Excellent food and presentation and great service. We'll be back.
Great food, ambience and service but significantly pricey!
Food was good, service was excellent but the music was AWFUL! I suggest instead of smooth jazz try old standards.
The food and service were both fantastic
The food is great. The place is really small and very loud.
Food and service were fantastic. It wasn’t crowded at 7 on a Saturday to our surprise, but it was pretty full by the time we left. Prices were reasonable -$20-30 for most entrees. I think a filet and ribeye were the only entrees above $30. Server knew the menu and wine list very well and made great recommendations. The short rib was awesome. Servings are perfect size - bigger than they appear in menu pictures. We had an appetizer, a soup, two entrees, desert and wine and everything was great. We will be back for sure.
Very high quality meats and seafood, perfectly prepared. Beautiful presentation. Moderate proportions- deceivingly small pictures on the menu. We will be returning with friends in the near future.
Aqua is a favorite of ours. The menu is varied and unique. The food is delicious and gorgeously displayed. Best of all it is intimate and quiet.
If one likes well presented and tasty food and doesn't mind spending a little more for lunch or dinner I highly recommend this restaurant. Our waitress was very congenial and helpful in making our choices. I can't wait to go back.
Innovative menu, expertly prepared and served.
Went back for our anniversary and was less crowded than Valentine's Day. Food outstanding and even given Creme Brulee on them for our anniversary. Will definitely go back again
Very good overall. Drinks and food were great and service attentive. Thought would have more of crowd on Friday however holiday weekend. Closed the restaurant with enjoyable conversation and not rushed at all by staff. Recommend if in the area. Dinner for four with two drinks, three apps, main, and coffee less than $300 which is great value.
We went for our 24th wedding anniversary after driving past for years and saying we should try it. I truly wish we’d stopped in sooner! The food was terrific and put new spins on classic dishes. The cocktail menu almost over shadowed the menu with lots of tasty drinks. Free tip: have a strawberry starburst, then try Aqua’s starburst. Amazing similarities. The one thing that outshone everything was our wonderful and attentive waitress. She made wonderful recommendations and was there when we needed her while not smothering us.
Wonderful evening for our 24th, made special with a phenomenal meal at Aqua!
Some of the appetizers, especially the spicy avocado bombs, were very good. We found most of the sauces overly sweet, and the seafood and fish we ordered was no longer fresh.
We love the food, atmosphere, and especially the lovely presentations of dishes at Aqua. This is where we bring out-of-towners for a special treat!
Great apps, especially squid. Server was excellent. Main courses were bland though, but plating was gorgeous. Wonderful and gorgeous drinks. Will go back for the appetizers for sure!
The atmosphere was so relaxing, the food is amazing but a little over priced for the amount. The website did not mention that the prices would be doubled on mother's day nor did the menus have everything shown on the website. For example, the free range chicken online says $19 but it was $30, the filet mignon online says $39 but was was $50. The menu online menu was completely different than the menu in store, which was disappointing because I felt the website was very misleading No where on the website did it mentioned that the menu and prices would be different. The waiter was okay. Some moments I felt ignored but he was always right on time with the food. It was not as busy as I thought it would be. There were many open tables. Great place to dine for special occasions but you should definitely call ahead to see if the menu is different then what is displayed on the website.
The menu prices were doubled on Mother’s for no reason with a limited menu
One meal came cold , the other over priced for a small filet, 50.00 when the menu online said 36.00
Salmon online menu was 32.00 and ours was 45.00
If your going to charge these prices it needs to be very good all the time, and also without inflated prices because it’s Mother’s Day. We will trying other spots for sure.
Went there for the first time for Mother's Day. They had a Mother's Day brunch menu that had less than a dozen choices. My son and I had the stuffed french toast. It was stuffed with mascarpone cheese and strawberry slices. It was fine. Too much mascarpone to berry ratio and not enough of the berry sauce to get some with every bite. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. Shrimp and poached eggs were overdone and the gravy had the same texture as the grits. The flavor was good, but the rubbery shrimp were unappetizing.
We waited on beverage refills a few times. It took them about an hour to get our food out to us. Overall, it was just a mediocre experience.
