The atmosphere was nice and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. The server (Anthony was very nice), hostess, and runners were nice and accommodating. The food, however, left much to be desired. The bass had no seasoning or flavor. I didn't understand why the server asked us if we wanted salt or pepper until I took my first bite. The menu listed asparagus as a part of the dish, but there were three pieces so small I they blended into the unseasoned squares of potatoes. My friend enjoyed her flank steak, but also mentioned her potatoes lacked seasoning. The drink was good, but for the price it leveled to mediocre. Some redemption came in the form of a free glass of champagne at dessert. Overall, I was severely underwhelmed and immensely glad I came for restaurant week and did not pay full price. I would have rated the service higher, but they forgot our bread (arguably the best part) and my friend's steak knife.
Wonderful grand interior. Posh bar area. Food was good and well prepared but not perfect. I would go back none the less. Good wine but expensive! Excellent wait staff.
Bad service never got greeted at all had to find someone to seat us took forever to get a menu nobody seemed to know how to smile.
Great food! Highly recommend the grilled swordfish dip.
We made reservations and were seated immediately. The ambiance is beautiful for a date. The service was excellent the food was good. Overall i would recommend this for a date night.
Excellent time. Anthony was excellent serving us and making the night beyond memorable.
Last night was our first time eating at Aqimero. They served a Christmas dinner buffet costing $95 per person. The bar area is beautiful, with the incredibly high, domed ceiling and comfortable seating. The bar service was quick, friendly, professional, and attentive. Please bear in mind that the feedback I’m giving describes only the Christmas buffet and not their regular menu. After being promptly seated at our reserved time, we were given our menus showing the prescribed buffet dinner selections. The seafood buffet included raw oysters, crab legs, and shrimp. Nothing special. What you would expect to be served at a buffet, I guess. The salad bar included two types of lettuce mixes and standard vegetable toppings with two dressing choices. Again, nothing special. After finishing our salads, our server removed our plates, but returned our used silverware, expecting us to use it for the rest of our meal. Really?! We requested new silverware. Then came the entree of meats, which were served at the table and not on the buffet line. We were served an obnoxiously massive helping of three meats for two people: salmon, ham, and beef. The amount of meat we were served could have easily fed 4-6 people! The ham was delicious. The steak was good, and we never tasted the salmon. We had so much meat leftover, we asked the server why so much meat was served. She admitted its far too much and suggested we take it home. Because we were visitors, we decided to feed it to a homeless person. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations for a $200+ dinner on Christmas night. There was nothing special or memorable (in a good way) about the food, quality of the service, or the buffet presentation.
Christmas buffet is my only experience. Main entree of prime rib, ham and salmon was delicious...everything else left much to be desired in quality and quantity.
The Christmas Eve prefixed menu was pretty lame and it was truly overpriced. I eat out a lot and this was of the worst deals ever. I have been to this restaurant before and liked it but this was such a bad experience that I won’t be returning
Wonderful time had by all, but towards the end we felt like we were being rushed out
The service and food are wonderful! I especially like the hostesses and wait staff who are cheerful friendly and helpful!!
Endless brunch starts at 11:30 which I didn’t realize when I made 10:30 reservation. After paying $9 for coffee we had at table we decided to wait and sat at bar. Brunch choices are delicious. You choose off a menu rather than a buffet..which I prefer. Lots of options and champagne drinks. I wish a Bloody Mary was offered, but other than that we left satisfied and definitely full for the afternoon. Beautiful lobby and decorated for holidays.
I took my granddaughter to the theater and then to Aqimero at the Ritz Carlton for a "special" lunch. She enjoyed herself but I must say the adults in the party thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this meal. The "unlimited" brunch special was a huge hit! Each entrée was absolutely delicious and the presentation was superb! Our server went above and beyond to make sure our mean and experience was nothing short of perfect! We will definitely be back!
Great location and decor. positioned to the side of the main lobby it is a great place for people watching. Majestic decor, comfortable seating. Attentive service. Highly recommend the mushroom flatbread and beet and goat cheese salad appetizers and the salmon entree. I did not like my prawn entree at all, and the server quickly offered a replacement - I was more than satisfied with the salmon. The marbled potatoes were not our taste, smoky flavor, thought they were a little dry, but others may enjoy them. Overall, the food was tasty.
Service was terrible. Tried to have a business lunch and had to find our server 3 times. Food was ok, but overpriced. Open Table has this restaurant as a $, but should be listed as a $$.
Although we did enjoy the food and there’s no doubt we saved lots of money doing the $50 unlimited brunch - the service was subpar. Our food came out at all different times leaving half the table to be finished eating before others were even served and it took lots of flagging down to get drink refills, napkins and the check in a place that was seemingly empty.
Great location for a holiday brunch... the Ritz is beautifully decorated for the season. Service was prompt as we had to get to the Army/Navy football game, would definitely stop in a gain
I’ve eaten here several times and had always enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed this time. Don’t know if you were short staffed or not but there was no one to greet us upon arrival. Stood about 10 minutes before someone came up to check us in. Then we were taken to a table that wasn’t completely set up. Our coffee was warm and had to ask for a refills, wasn’t used to this service before.
Have dined here a number of times, always for Sunday morning breakfast.
Consistently good food, consistently friendly atmosphere and courteous waiters.
Also consistently slow to deliver the food order from the kitchen, so not the place to eat when you are on a tight schedule.
Just plan to be there a bit longer than most restaurants, and you will enjoy it thoroughly.
We booked for Thanksgiving. Aqimero made quite a big deal of getting credit card info ahead of time and confirming with me 3 times that we’d be there. We ate at 7. The holiday menu was buffet style for $95 per person. Might have been better earlier, but our experience was that almost every station constantly was empty and in need of refreshing. We waited for crab, for salad, for cranberries, you name it. The meat was brought directly to our table, but was not hot. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, with our waitress trying her best, but every time our table was cleared all the utensils were gone and not refreshed either, so I at least twice got up asking for more utensils.
All in all, a disappointment, especially for the price.
The menu shown in OpenTable did not match the menu that they had there. It was a very limited menu for brunch. Not really very many Cubans style entrées. Gorgeous setting, however. Also, the staff worked to accommodate us by making available their regular breakfast menu.
Excellent food, friendliest staff, and very accommodating! Looking forward to returning!
I have dined here before and was back yesterday to experience again their excellent service, beautiful decor, quaintness, wonderful food, all at a great price for lunch! And...it is in the beautiful Ritz Carlton setting. Truly a downtown favorite.
I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend. The service we received was top notch, but the food was just okay, I expected the more "ooo-ahhh" moments when eating, but never came about.
From the first greet to the last entre, and I tried them all.
This place is 1st class dining!
Dinner at Aqimero with friends. Started with drinks off the specialty drink menu. Started with a Caeser Salad which was big enough to share. Followed that with the scallop entree. Scallops were tasty. Also tried a desert item. The service, the food and the ambiance at Aqimero was top notch.
Swordfish Dip is my fave. The Martinis are excellent.
We booked this restaurant due to its proximity to a show. We were only one if two tables occupied in the whole restaurant yet it seemed to take forever to get a drink and appetizer order in. Seemed the staff was more focused /0
Preoccupied on the bar than the restaurant. When I asked for some wine recommendations, the waitress ( due to her lack of knowledge I guess) sent over a Sommelier . He let us try a couple but then strongly suggested a red . Much to my surprise , when the bill came the bottle was $200. I would think that he would have gave us warning but we were in a rush and paid it to get to our next event.
To me they should have shown us the list with prices. This bottle was from a new list of wines they said was about to be introduced- even more of a reason to mention the price.
A side note: when the staff was engaged , they were very nice and the food was tasty
Unfortunately We won’t be back
Food was very good, although service was slow. We waited about 30 minutes between ordering and receiving the food. We were not in a hurry, so it wasn’t a problem for us, but I have noticed in the past that the service coupd be more attentive.
I went for brunch and it was a tremendous value. Loved all the choices on the menu and everything was delicious. It is located in the lobby of the hotel but it still has a private feel to it. The service was outstanding. Definitely plan to go back!
Excellent business lunch and wonderful ambiance. We enjoyed the the mushroom bread and the shrimp burger. Would definitely come again!
Perfect place to host a business dinner. Great food and fantastic service.
They seemed to be understaffed as we were there 15 min before we were served a cup of coffee. Then another 30 minutes until breakfast came. They kept saying they were backed up.
Great staff, incredibly kind. Loved the ambiance and beautiful atmosphere. One entree came late and was comped. Great experience! Will return.
The slowest service ever. Food mediocre.
Beautiful venue, and ambiance. Place was packed with one waiter who was overwhelmed and delivered poor service. There was a hostess and others standing around doing nothing to help the frazzled sole waiter.
The food me and my friends ordered was disgusting. I was so disappointed being as though the restaurant is in the Ritz Carlton. The appetizers were good though. I would only recommend this spot for drinks and appetizers because the restaurant is very pretty inside.
The location is nice but the food wasn’t that good
Food was very average and pretty expensive for the quality. The host was very nice though.
Romantic for date night. Went during restaurant week, great deal and delicious food! Food service went smoothly with 3 course meal. Try the bao buns and short rib slider if available on the menu. For refreshing drink, try the “water of life.”
