The food at Apron was outstanding but they have to hire and train good waiters, set a service standard that is comparable to the restaurants with which they are competing, and get their kitchen operation up to speed. I would try them again in a month or two when, hopefully, they've got their act together. The food was good enough to earn them another try. I really want to see this place be successful!
The food was tasty. The noise level was horrendous. They need to do something about the bar noise. We had to yell at each other across our table. I wouldn’t eat here again because of the horrible acoustics.
Food was great, service from Agnes was outstanding! It was loud because of the planes taking off, but we ate outside. Definitely recommend!
We needed a quick bite near the airport and this popped up as highly rated. It was a very cool find.....right next to the Porsche experience. I'd been in Mexico for a week and was craving a fresh salad. The greek hit the spot! There is only valet parking for $10 but that was ok. We'd come back! If you sit outside you're listening to planes but it was kind of fun!
Excellent service, thank you!
This is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. Excellent!
Randy the bartender has selected a wonderful selection of wines. Rich was our server and he was attentive and he gave us great recommendations for all courses. Rich worked with the Chef to create a very unique vegan dish for my husband.
We will definitely be going back very soon.
Everyone on the staff greets you as you come into the restaurant. The food was excellent and the service quite good. The booth has a lot of space on both sides of the table--unusual. There's a little airport noise indoors but hardly noticeable. The patio looked inviting, but the weather wasn't great for being outdoors.
3rd time at Apron and all 3 times had the same result. Great tasting food, but less than stellar service. Despite Solis managing the facility, I suspect that Porsche will soon demand a change in staff and/or management.
Located in the Solis Hotel adjacent to the North American headquarters of Porsche. Room is pretty, light, airy and food and service are both excellent. Had a very nice lunch there. Short ride from Atlanta airport.
The wait staff was superb! I was not excited about the food.
We stopped by for lunch on a whim after dropping our son off at the airport. What a pleasant surprise! Our server, Isabelle, was delightful. Food was delicious and nice portions. Drinks were top notch. Don't forget the added bonus of watching the jets land and the Porsche racers whiz around the track. Can't wait to return and stay the night!
Very happy to see a new restaurant in the airport area. Apron has a very good menu with something for everyone. Meals were very tastey, although they were a little slow to take our orders and to deliver the meals to the table. No rush good if you have plenty of time, and want to enjoy the meal. I probably should have informed or waitress that we had a time constraint.
Defintely a winner! AA+
Pleasantly surprised. A little late for lunch and we were one of two tables going. Service was great as was the food. Do not be intimidated by the required valet, a must try!
Great food! Great atmosphere! Service was awesome.
Smoked Stripped Bass was awesome, good food all around. Not a typical menu, in a good way. I’d recommend this place to anyone. It’s on the pricey side, but worth the value.
Excellent food. Recommend the bronzino and the Brussels sprouts.
We dined at Apron during our stay at Solis. Chef Paul, Manager Ricardo, Waitress Agnes, the bartender, and entire staff were professional, kind, fun, and excellent at their crafts. Fabulous!
We really enjoyed the view of the airport and test track (although no cars were running). Being so close to the runway, we were amazed at the quiet! The private-like dining area for our party of 6 made it easy to have conversation during the meal. The food was very good - we had the hummus/tapenade app, steak (cooked to her liking), lamb (maybe a little too done but very good) and fish (billed as branzino but served a trout - so a little disappointed but it was delicious). The white/green asparagus risotto was delicious. We had three kids with us who had pasta and the kid's burger - they loved it. Kids also had ice cream for dessert and the parents loved the fresh fruit on top. Our server was very nice and attentive, as well. Overall, we would visit again if we stay near the airport in ATL.
Valentine’s Day-chefs menu. First rate. A little coordination issue between the kitchen and waiter. But all in all a very positive experience. The waiter was personable and the food was excellent! We will come back!
Fantastic food and service. Can’t wait to return!
Went for a nice dinner, but the food was presented more as a lunch meal. The menu can be deceiving. Things sound fancy, but really a chicken sandwich with fries were presented. Nothing about a sandwich or fries were mentioned on the menu.
absolutely love the food here and it's great for a business lunch but service time to get your meal needs improvement. This is my 4th time here since they opened and it doesn't seem to get any better from the time you order until you receive your meal. This makes it hard to go here for a business lunch unless you have at least 1 1/2 hours. Hope to see some improvement soon.
It was okay nothing to go back for.
We were at Scott’s Antiques late on a Friday and decided not to fight the traffic home, so we searched for a high end restaurant close by. I had no idea there was a nice restaurant in the Solis hotel at the Porsche complex. We valet parked at the hotel and walked in. It is a lovely ambiance and a nice bar with TVs, but the tables and booths are well separated from the bar. You can see part of the Porsche test track and keep in mind you are adjacent to the runways, so there is some jet noise from time to time but it is well muffled by the windows.
The service was very polite and eager. They suffered a little from typical glitches new restaurants have but they were all very helpful. Our beverages were excellent. We had the charcuterie appetizer which was great. I had the striped bass and was impressed. It was not too wet or dry which is so hard to get with fish. Had a great grilled/smoky flavor. My wife had the heirloom tomato salad that was also excellent.
Open Table lists it as a Mediterranean restaurant, which seems like a stretch. It was a fairly classic set of choices with maybe a Mediterranean spice profile.
We had a great time and would return.
It was almost empty and our service was slow. The Food and Beverage Manager received our feedback well on the slow service and made an adjustment for us. The food was good, but the slow service made the visit less enjoyable. We took in to consideration that it was open for a short time but shared that the wait staff could have been more attentive and responsive.
We had to ask about dessert when we finished our meal.
Excellent service, paired with tasty and creative menu offerings. This is a great new restaurant, just minutes from Atlanta's Hartsfield airport. Overlooks Porsche Experience.
My wife and I like to visit new restaurants for fine dining and I wanted to plan something special for her birthday. I made our reservation which was very easy via open table and I let them know that it was for a special occasion. When we arrived they were ready for us. The hotel and restaurant look absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. We had a great time and we will definitely be back. This was one of the best restaurant experiences that we have ever had.
Some growing pains, but otherwise pretty good. The wine list didn’t match inventory, but they were very accommodating in finding a good bottle. Wonderful octopus terrine started us off on the right foot. Service was spotty here and there, probably due to reduced staffing on Christmas Day. If we’re traveling through Atlanta again, we’ll definitely stop here again.
We really enjoyed a special Christmas dinner - Chef Paul made us a wonderful Beef Tenderloin and treated us to a special Chocolate torte decorated for our baby's 99th day on earth! Afterwards, he came out to talk to us. The services was great and everyone was really friendly. Id heartily recommend this restaurant!
For a restaurant / hotel with such a unique location (overlooking the Porsche Test Facility and an airport runway), it would be easy for the staff to be lackadaisical about their food and service, and the customer's overall experience. Not the case with Apron at Solis Two!!!! Beginning with the valets and continuing with the hostess, bartender, chef, and servers, even the hotel front desk, the 5-star experience seems to be ingrained their spirit, not superficial. This was an incredible experience, but yet not so exotic that you feel you must reserve it only for special occasions. I don't have the vocabulary to truly give Apron at Solis Two the review it deserves, so you simply must experience it for yourself! Hint: The 8th Floor outdoor bar that overlooks the Porsche test track and an airport runway is an exceptional experience.
This is a new restaurant. A good number of menu selections were not available, and my steak sandwich was supposed to be medium rare...instead it was well-done. When I brought this to the waitress’ attention, not having touched the sandwich, her response was simply that she definitely placed the order as medium-rare. Nothing at all was done today remedy the situation, and nothing at all was done regarding the many menus selections which were not available. The ONLY positive is that the crab cake starter was delicious.
Over priced. Staff very very friendly. Not a big selection on menu.
Service was good. Food decent, but too pricey. Nothing speciality justify the price points.
Interestingly, not much of a choice of real Mediterranean cuisine in this establishment which is billed as a Mediterranean restaurant.
We have been excited about visiting Apron, but I was disappointed. I understand they have just opened, but you would think they would have had steak knives by now. Three of us ordered steaks and only one of them was cooked to specification, plus, by not having the correct utensils made them difficult to eat. They did not have all of the selections on the menu. The bar is also not well-stocked and didn't have our first choice of drink for any of us. Hopefully, all of this will change before too long. We will go back again and give them another chance. If you go, you definitely need to check out the bar on the rooftop. The view is extraordinary. I must say that our waitress was fantastic! She was very attentive and apologetic for the shortcomings of the restaurant.
Went on opening night- some kinks to be worked out. Need focus on cooking steaks to requested temperature (asked for rare-medium rare...steak was gray, sent back steak twice and still wasn't right), add cheese selection to charcuterie, educate wait staff to explain menu, suggest side dishes and know what they are (golden beets are my most unfavorite food...ate a mouthful after waiter said they were sweet potatoes...), ask before clearing plates (we were still chewing). Portions are all over the board- striped bass was three bites, chicken was a normal portion, risotto as a main dish was huge. Put a chocolate dessert on the menu- you have the ingredients!
I think they'll work the kinks out- great draft beer selection, drinks and wine. Location is great, once you get inside. Beautiful facility and rooftop lounge overlooks the Porsche track.
