It appears to be a high end restaurant but it really looks like your standard 3 star hotel restaurant. The best part is the location and the patio views. The food was just ok and the desserts were not good at all. Our server Katrina was top notch.
We had a wonderful dinner we sat at the bar because the lady there was so nice. They have a nice wine happy hour from 5 to 6 the food is southern but it’s good. We sit out back and watch the airplanes takeoff for a little while

Not as nice as you would think considering the hotel it is attached to. Service wasn’t great; everything took a while even though the place was not that busy. Food was VERY average. There was a lot of noise coming from the rooftop bar/people arguing, and the outdoor seating area was very much like a picnic area
Food was mediocre, my steak was undercooked and did not appear to be a quality cut or had not been properly prepared. Not a big deal on the temperature but then I asked for a creamy horseradish sauce and was offered ranch, blue cheese, bbq, or ketchup?!? $52 steak with ranch or ketchup..come on. The collard geen salad was super salty and greasy. Had the peach trifle and it was tasteless. The peaches were not ripe so there was no real flavor. The vanilla ice cream I took from my daughter was good.

The physical ambiance was good. Great seating, lighting and fantastic wall to floor windows. The server was fantastic. She was very attentive and patient. We never felt rushed. I hate that I can’t remember her name but her calming, Caribbean accent added to comfy ambiance of the evening. And her feedback on the dining options was dead on! The only challenge was … a few pesky flies. I know summer time is summer time in ATL and it’s forgiving …. Until you’re dining indoors and the flies were relentless. I’m sure this isn’t the usual experience, it was just annoying last night. Other than that, we had a fab time!
We made reservations online for the rooftop. When we arrived we were told that reservations can't be made for the rooftop. The manager accommodated us. We couldn't order food from the rooftop. We went to the restaurant to have dinner. The food was. Not Good (ribs, collard greens, mac & cheese was dry). Two in our party ordered chicken wings and said they were good.
The work of Apron's very nice and knowledgeable staff and its decent wine list were a stark contrast to its mediocre food. The best: Collard green side and the Wings. The worst: Pulled pork side. Just ok: Iceberg lettuce wedge salad and french fries. I would not go out of my way to eat there.
The selection is rather limited, but what we got was delicious! The Southern Dip Duo starter is very good, with the saltines having just a bit of spice on them to complement both the trout dip as well as the pimento . I had the Seared Steelhead trout, which was to die for - the fish was done just right, the collard green pesto unusual and perfectly seasoned, and the risotto underneath amazing too. The Smoked Gouda mac and cheese my husband ordered was also very tasty, although the chicken on top was a little dry. The side of Smoked Turkey Collard Greens was very salty, although my husband ate them all up, so apparently it wasn't too bad. The two drinks we ordered were also VERY good: the Love Potion #9 and the Sidecar. Apron gets knocked down from a 5 for the dry chicken, limited menu, and particularly for the lack of good service.
More selection of food would be great
Great food very near the Atlanta airport~lots of planes ✈️ taking off overhead. Good service & a pleasant outdoor dining experience.

We made a reservation for outdoor rooftop seating for our anniversary but when we arrived the only seating available was downstairs and inside. At the rooftop there was nobody regulating seating for those with a reservation vs just visiting, so we weren’t able to enjoy the rooftop seating that we reserved 2 weeks in advance for that very reason. Wasn’t very pleased with our overall experience.
We went to celebrate a birthday! The food was good and so was the service. However it was really cold inside so we requested to eat outside but no one knew how to open the umbrella. Also, the menu lacked variety. Other than that, it was a good experience. I would definitely go back again.

Apron’s food was great. My only disappointment was that the dining room was relocated to the lobby for the evening due to a private event in the restaurant and the rooftop lounge being reserved. I wish the website and/or open table would have notified me before reserving my table.

Stayed overnight at the Kimpton and thought it would be cool to check out what the hotel had to offer. Apron was an overall good experience. The food was good. My wife had the shrimp and grits which she thought was excellent. I had the smoked gouda mac n cheese with pulled pork. The pasta was slightly undercooked and the pulled pork was average. We were seated outside in the setting sun and no shade. Service was a bit better than average. I would recommend Apron to any hotel guest as the options in the area are not plentiful.
Went for Mother’s Day and the service took awhile for apps and entrees. Place looks great but for the prices you’re paying for the atmosphere, not the cuisine.

The service was super slow. While the staff was friendly they were clearly short handed. Orders were wrong and one sandwich had two small pieces of steak. Overall the food was good just need more help.

So, easy to get a table. Menu is VERY limited, and overpriced to boot. $17 bottle of wine is listed for $87. Don't be fooled that you are getting a good bottle because of the price. We ordered 2 cocktails, took 15 minutes when there was only 3 other patrons in the restaurant, not strong and $14 a piece. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, plate was full of over cooked calamari and a whole bunch of fried breadcrumbs. Called it a night after that. Not worth the hype or the price.
The app allowed me to make a reservation for dinner and upon arrival I was informed that the restaurant was not serving dinner at all, just drinks. Unsure whether the app or restaurant should take responsibility, but please fix this.
