Nice ambience and great portions for the cost. Nice signature cocktails too!
Food was wonderful and the service very very good. The location for folks headed to the airport is fine. It is in an area of ATL where services are expanding.
The restaurant was a positive aspect of our experience. The food we ordered was great and our server was outstanding. The restaurant was virtually empty except for my party and one couple at the bar. The hotel presents an atmosphere of disorganization and lack of proper attention. No one was at the valet; one in my party went inside to find someone. Once outside, the attendant(s) seemed not to know where to park the cars. We were seated over 40 mins before our cars were moved from the front entrance.
At the coffee bar in the lobby, the water decanter was empty and there were used coffee cups and trash scattered about. I located an employee who filled the water decanter but left the unkempt coffee area.
Great service, good food and lovely ambience.
I have stayed at many of these hotels however this restaurant food was incredibly salty it was actually hard to finish anyone entrée and even the appetizer I’m kind of shocked Kimpton restaurant would be like this. I can’t imagine this myself or any other restaurant I’ve eaten at in Atlanta
Super nice restaurant. Can't wait until summer so I can sit out on the patio upstairs and watch airplanes l and.
Marcia, I am so glad you enjoyed! The spring and summer will be a great time so sip drinks and watch the planes and cars! I look forward to seeing you again. Thanks, Heather
My first time going to Apron. I took my friend there for her birthday. Our server, Agnes, was AWESOME!!!! She was so funny. I swear that she has to be a professional comedian in her spare time. Aside from making us laugh, she made sure that she attended to every little detail. We mentioned to her that we were there to celebrate my friend's birthday and at the end of the meal, she brought out a very delicious complimentary "birthday " dessert. It was soooo good! I would definitely be coming back. The next time I am bringing my husband! I would absolutely recommend Apron and Agnes. Two of the Southside's best kept secrets!
if you are in the airport area and looking for a place to eat that stays open late, Apron is your choice. Lovely menu but few vegetarian options. I loved what I had but would not want to eat it repeatedly. SO good place but needs a few more vegetarian options.
It is handy to the airport and has a very posh feel. The food was tasty and the ambiance was perfect for a quiet meeting.
Shannon, Thanks for the kind words! We look forward to you visiting again soon. Best, Heather General Manager

Disappointing. And this was my second visit in a week. First visit for lunch - fantastic. Second visit for Sunday brunch - exceedingly mediocre. For example, the menu indicated on the 2 egg any style dish: Crispy hash brown | herb roasted roma tomato | choice of breakfast meat. So when the plates appeared - eggs, hashbrown, meat, period. When asked about the roasted tomato, the wait staff didn't appear to realize tomatoes were supposed to be on the plate. They came back and said something to the effect that, "oops, we're still roasting them (our reservation was at noon and there were only 2-3 other tables seated in the entire restaurant)". The plates looked bland, worse than any cheap diner breakfast and no bread/toast was served. Just a boring really expensive brunch. I was embarrassed at recommending the restaurant. Just hope they can better train the Sunday crew or, if not, they should eliminate Sunday brunch entirely.
We went here for brunch around 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday. The neglect started with us being completely ignored by the valet for probably 10 minutes. We gave up and just left our vehicle parked in the hotel driveway which didn't seem to bother the valet attendant in the least. We entered the restaurant. There were two other tables with people from what we could see. A lady greeted us and told us we could sit wherever, and we selected a table and sat down. We observed an unbussed table obviously that had been that way for a while nearby.
While we were greeted by four staff members during our time there, the only interaction we received was "Somebody will be with you soon." Long story short, even though we were only the third table with any people at it in the entire restaurant, that somebody never came. After 15 minutes of no service and reviewing the rather uninspired basic brunch menu items, we left and went to Real Milk and Honey, and that was the best decision we have made in a long time.
Mouser- I am terribly sorry to hear that your experience was anything but exceptional. There is no excuse for the lack of service from the moment you pulled up to valet thru your departure. I would love to have you back in, as this is not the way Apron operates. Once again, I am incredibly sorry we failed you and your brunch experience. Food was very good. I had the swordfish bouillabaisse along with a Brussels sprouts appetizer and sticky toffee cake for dessert. Both flavorful and delicious.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We LOVE to hear we are making peoples dining experiences memorable ones. See you again soon, Damien
We wanted something close and that had an attractive menu. We were greeted and sat promptly. Agnes was amazing. Very funny and attentive. It was listed as a Mediterranean restaurant. The menu did not reflect that it was. The charcuterie board was nice but my salad 🥗 was not leafy it had a large number of stemmed leaves. I will try it again. The menu did have some attractive options.
Gigi- I am delighted to hear you had a great time with Agnes as your server. Thank you for the feedback on the salad, I will make sure to get with chef and ensure the best quality greens are used. We can't wait to see you again! Heather Brady General Manager | Restaurants and Bars 2 Porsche Drive Atlanta, GA 30354 O - 470 466 3334
Stafford service was awesome ✔
PrudenceS1 - thanks for the review! Stafford is a great server and we are proud to have him as part of our fabily here at Apron. See you soon! Damien
Our third time dining here over a 12 month period, and consistently high standards. The restaurant was very busy for a Monday which made for an energetic atmosphere. Service was great and food excellent as always. Only 2 minor things were that there were 2 dishes that were unavailable, and the appetizers were slow to appear, meaning that the main course arrived just as we were finishing our apps - would have preferred a gap but I think this was just due to it being unexpectedly so busy early on a Monday.
Our entrée choices were the risotto, swordfish bouillabaisse and pork chop - all delicious. Sticky Toffee fig pudding is a great dessert for sharing - not too sweet and goes great with a coffee to round things off!
Another great dining experience - fortunate to have this place so close by.
phanson3286 - thank you for taking the time to write a review! We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed the food and service for you third time! I will definitely address the timing issue with the team. We look forward to serving you again in the near future. Damien
Staff and service were excellent but then somewhat faded away after we received our main meal. I had the rice & shrimp and it was very good!
billvjohn, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm happy to hear that the service was excellent. I will address the fading away part. I appreciate the feedback. Damien
Solid place in the Kimpton - always good a little pricey but otherwise great. Rooftop bar is great to watch runways for a drink.
Thank you for the review! Come back and join us on a weekend evening as we have live entertainment at Overdrive (our rooftop bar). Damien
RobertoB, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Your sentiments will be shared with the team. Damien
Who wouldn't love to watch planes land and take off AS WELL AS Porsche cars on a test track? If that's your thing, this is THE place for you!
Me and my wife went to Apeon for our anniversary dinner. The food was really good. The Brussels sprouts were very good and the Brezino was incredible and Agnes is probably the best waitress of any experience we’ve ever had. She designed Happy Anniversary on our desert plate. Thank you for a memorable moment.
Apron is what you would expect of the flagship restaurant in the airport area's only 5-star hotel. Drinks, food, and service are all excellent. My only negative comment is I was a little peeved to find a $8 charge on the bill for one of our parties birthday dessert, which we did not exactly order.
Apron was amazing, the Braised Lamp Shank was so tender and delicious!!! Our waitress was a little Asian lady and she just made our dinner experience at Apron outstanding. We will be back and bring some of our friends. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
Our meal was very good. The service was slow due to our waitress also taking care of several large groups We chose this restaurant because it is located next to the Porsche Experience that we were going to.
Had a simple lunch which included a burger and side salad. Both were good although I was distracted by another dish that I saw (shrimp and rice) and that I plan to try on my next visit.
Decent food, out of a lot of dishes, and service only fair.
Stafford was friendly as always. My request was medium well burger and crispy French fries. (Not)
This was the strangest dining experience. We went on a Friday night around 6:30 and the restaurant wasn’t very crowded. Yet, they were sold out of most of the items we tried to order off of the main menu. Very frustrating as it is not an extensive menu by any definition. What we were able to order was delicious including the drinks! The hostess and manager were fantastic but there did not seem to be enough wait staff as it took ages for our waiter to come over to greet us. From what we were told, this was a new menu and under new hotel management by just around a month. If I found myself back in the area I would try it again just to see if it improved.
Service was good, food selection was limited.
Fantastic dining experience and great service. Agnes, our waitress, was a delight. She made our experience a memorable one.
We went for Valentine’s Day. The ambiente was nice and clam. Our waitress was nice and explained the menu for us. They ran out of the dessert that cane with the Valentines special but gave us a choice to choose from the original dessert menu. Loved the experience and of course the food
Ask for Agnes! Agnes from Singapore. She was very friendly and professional. We learned a lot on our first dinner date experience. It’s a valet only parking service. The live music played by the musician was also very nice. We loved it.
Fantastic restaurant if you are looking for exceptional service and wonderfully prepared entrees, a little on the pricey side but well worth it.
Why 3 stars? Because Apron was good but has the potential to be better with some fine-tuning.
Having read the Yelp reviews, most of which were very positive, my wife and I decided to give Apron a try. The restaurant is beautiful and is located in the brand-new Kimpton Hotel. The menu has a heavy emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine, which we love, so we were excited to see their interpretation.
We started with the dolmas, which are traditional grape leaves that are filled with rice and spices. Apron's version came out warm - in a nice ramekin with a lemon buerre-blanc. It was delicious!
We each had a glass of wine; their wine and drink menu is very expansive and creative, and wines by the glass are reasonably priced; Justin Cab @ $16 and a nice Latour Chardonnay for $16.
For our entrees, my wife ordered the burger, and I ordered the gyro; the former is a word-wide standard, the latter is, of course, a Mediterranean classic.
Here is where things got slightly off track. My wife liked her burger, but it did not come with any condiments for it or her fries, and we had to ask several times - and wait about 5 minutes.
My gyro was not a classic gyro, but it was still good. Let me explain. If you've ever had a gyro, you know it is a grilled pita filled with lamb (typically shaved), lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki. Apron's version was...dry! The lamb was very tasty & seasoned very well. But there was no lettuce, no tomatoes, and only a slight drizzle of tzatziki. I asked for tomatoes and more tzatziki, and this saved the dish. We spoke with our server who said that tChef used to serve it the traditional way, but some people did not want or like the tomatoes and lettuce.
My suggestion is that Chef return to the classic preparation and perhaps compromise and serve the lettuce and tomatoes on the side...and definitely add some more tzatziki.
Great food, great service! We loved our server!
