Wonderful food and wine, excellent service so pleased to have found this little gem and will be back!

Fantastic food and excellent service. Delicious menu options we struggled to choose. So glad that we managed to get in a visit inbetween lockdown and Tier 3. Can’t wait to visit again in the New Year and bring our friends as we know they will love it as much as we do!

Service was a little slow which could have been due to a pre lockdown rush. Food and drinks were fantastic. Well worth a visit.

What a lovely after we had....gorgeous tapas while sitting in the bar area! Wonderful cocktails and lovely wine....the staff were lovely too.
I need to try the food in the restaurant area....the menu looked good and friends who have tried it have said that the food was delicious.
Very attentive and friendly...I will definitely go there again and recommend this venue to friends and family

Good food and service thought it was a little on the expensive side but enjoyed it as a whole.

Did not realise when booking that the tapas selection was only for the bar area... however when you book online you cannot stipulate which area you would like to be seated. Main restaurant was very loud and very busy... not quite sure how this worked with social distancing rules as we were very close to other diners.
The menu was pricey... I ordered canelones de rustido which was delicious but one tube of meat filled pasta with sauce wasn’t very filling for £14!
Restaurant would do far better to have included a wider range of tapas dishes/menu for ALL guests to be able to try.

Would have loved to stay longer but had limit on table... really enjoyed our food and cocktails great value and delicious!

This is one of our favourite local restaurants and the food is always delicious. The service is also fab, you feel like you are being looked after without being suffocated! I would highly recommend Appleyard.

A lovely evening, fabulous food and great service and atmosphere. The ham croquettes were divine and my roast lamb was melt in the moth delicious. Good social distancing and great service.

Staff want very polite. Found them very rude not happy with the service

Such a great find in our local area. Food exceptional quality. Extensive wines on offer, along with all drinks and cocktails.

The tapas is authentic and excellent value too and the martini expresso is a must!

A great, warm, friendly atmosphere definitely worth a visit.

Used the Eat Out to Help Out deal. Shame some items were not available and the order of food arriving was a bit odd (eg pork scratchings coming as the last dish). But food we did have was generally very good and the deal made it very good value.

Overall food very good....though had an hour wait for our starters to arrive. We still had a very enjoyable evening and would visit again

It was our first time and we really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the service was great. Some of the dishes seem rather pricey, but everything is beautifully prepared and super fresh. Will go back soon!

Good atmosphere and good wine selection

This restaurant never fails to deliver. Yes it’s not dirt cheap but why would it be when you are getting such high quality food and service?
The croquettes rival any I have had in Barcelona (and I’m afraid to say that’s quite a lot! ☺️)
and the roast dinner rivals any British roasts I have had in some supposed ‘top’ typical English pubs.
As I’m not a wine expert the staff kindly assisted and allowed me to try several options and explained their background and types before I chose one and he understood that I was only after a glass of wine so it wasn’t as if he was only going to the trouble because we were spending lots on alcohol.
I can’t fault this place 10/10

Quiet when we arrive - but it was late lunch. It made no difference. Welcomed, treated so well. Recommendation of wine was spot on. Food - we had arrived in Spain - without a doubt! Highly recommended. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing restaurant/bar. Food is out of this world. And if you want something extra Apple Yard always go out of their way to prepare it for you if they can.
