Good value for money. Relaxed but attentive service. Easy to reach location.
We’ve dined here a couple of times over the years and it’s been excellent.
This time unfortunately it was terrible.
The frozen supermarket garlic bread should have served as a warning, but it was downhill from there.
We shared the Pizza patate and spinach ravioli.
The potato pizza was basically a slimy cheese base with dabs of mashed potato. Inedible and disgusting.
The ravioli was ok, except for the sauce of pure melted butter which was starting to congeal.
When we left the majority of the food none of the staff enquired if everything was Ok - they’ve clearly grown to expect complaints and therefor don’t ask.
All in all a disaster. Would not recommend.
We love it there, my husband and i always try to get there when we are in Sydney
Nice quiet shaded outdoor area making for ease of conversation and enjoyable food.
Friendly staff and great food would definitely go back
Food was nice however our waitress was just really angry, like we were just bothering her being there. made the whole experience really tense so we left as soon as we could. Disappointing.
The service, ambiance, background music and drinks were excellent. No complaints. However, the pasta couldn't have been fresh. It felt microwaved and the condiments - for myself the 'Ragu' and 'Pancetta' -was like eating supermarket mince meat. Very disappointing especially given the standard of food available for the same price elsewhere in the Rocks.
This was the second time dining at Appetito and both times the food was delicious and staff were wonderful. The staff tried to accommodate every request.
We found that our meals came out cold considering that there was no one in the venue this was pretty poor and we only ordered pasta dishes.
Friendly and attentive staff serving average Italian food. Fish of the day was salmon, the cop out of choice for average restaurants in my view, because it’s easy.
It’s an ok restaurant but not wonderful.
Super fast service, we arrived at 6pm, order, ate and left by 6:30pm.
Great if you want a quick meal!
We were a group of 20 people and organising lunch for large groups can be challenging at the best of times. However the Appetito staff made the experience really pleasant; they were extremely friendly and accommodating.
Excellent value for money with the lunch special.
Food was amazing, will definitely visit again when in Sydney!
Great food, service and location
My colleague and I both enjoyed our food. It was delicious and the service was excellent.
Will go there again.
Great dining experience, would definitely recommend
Food and service were great. Good spot for dinner before a show at the Opera House.
Brilliant architecture and setting. 1st pasta was tasteless, think it was lasagne with radicchio. Ragout gnocchi, the gnocchi were delightfully soft . The flavour ordinary. Garlic bread was useless, no flavour. It's only the setting that's great. Won't be back
Great food, quick service, pleasant staff. Would definitely go again
Arrived late but was seated immediately.
Atmosphere was fantastic and the service top notch. Food was amazing and my party of 10+ had no complaints but heaps of praise.
Excellent venue in the Rocks. Nice peaceful vibe and very accommodating staff
Staff was very helpful and we had a nice afternoon.
Charming place, great food and service. Lovely dining out on the terrace but water view was minimal. Really good, authentic Italian pizzas, so don’t expect pizza chain store type, these are far better. Pasta was also very good.
A bit pricey but I can only imagine the huge amount of rent they’d be paying in this great location.
Very good service and food on a very busy night for restaurant. We had a lovely time!
We returned after a wonderful dining experience a year ago but unfortunately standards have dropped. Our waitress seemed disinterested and disconnected. We were not offered water, we never got our second appetizer until the main was about to be served and we had to ask fot it as well. Then we never got our brocollini side dish with the main and addressed this with the maitre d as we had finished the msin already. Our waitress never came back to ask how we found the meal so could not address this with her.. Very disapoointing and quite embarrasing as we had recommended the restaurant after our superb experience this time last year. Loved the pizza bread and warm olives were beautiful when we finally received them but the mushfoom risotto was lacking in mushrooms and depth of flavour and the squid ink pasta had very little seafood. Sorry to have to report this but had looked forward to returning and was a total let down. 8
We love coming to this place, every time the food is outstanding and we are never disappointed.
Lovely Italian spot on the rocks. Had the black squid pasta which was a little salty but nevertheless still tasty. Generous amount of calamari.
Great restaurant situated right next to Circular Quay. Especially nice during Vivid. Pizzas were some of the best I've had in Sydney.
Extremely happy with everything, food was delicious six of us dinning all meals lovely.
The bruschetta was weird. Wasn't even the typical ingredients used in bruschetta.
It was a crowded night. Understandably noisy, but it was difficult to get staff attention even with a hand up. Food was brought out but no plates were given until a secong waiter was stopped. So we were sitting there for a good 5 minutes watching our food cool before we could tuck in. It was a busy night, but we still expected better.
Staff are friendly which was good.
Food is nothing special and probably too expensive for the quality. Maybe because it is located in a sightseeing spot. I had only one bowl of pasta so my opinion should be wrong.
I sat inside and it was a really pleasant experience. I enjoyed all the food and drinks. I also enjoyed the screen photography and Italian music.
Family gathered for a lunch to celebrate my Dads 80th Birthday. Was very relaxed atmosphere with great food and helpful happy staff. Thanks!
Good classic Italian cuisine. We had pastas mainly and we all really enjoyed the meal.
I have been to Appetito a few times, 2 for lunch and once for dinner. The most recent time was for Mothers' Day lunch and it was a very enjoyable and it was a nice touch for the mothers to receive a glass of prosecco.
Thanks to the staff of Appetito for a great evening. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great, service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble.
Food was super salty. When we asked the waiter, she got the manager. Manager was apologetic and said they couldn’t do anything as the food “came pre-made in a bag”. Avoid this place
Lovely atmosphere and couldn’t fault the service. Staff were fantastic and attentive. Food was disappointing. Starter came out cold and the main courses were nothing more than average. Not hugely expensive compared to other Sydney restaurants but better value for money could be found elsewhere.
Thankyou , our table was ready on arrival, service was great, our waitress was attentive, and very accomodating as there were 14 people.
