They did not have any pizza available as the pizza oven was not working. The choice of the rest of entrees was not great. We had booked this two weeks ago, and felt we should have been contacted and told.
Horrible experience! They pizza oven was broken. They were out of chicken. I asked to add grilled chicken to my salad and they said they couldn’t. Overall not a place I would recommend. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant.
Portion size was extremely small. Drinks were VERY weak.
I read good reviews. I made a reservation for 8h30pm Saturday night. At around 3pm Sat I received a call from the restaurant saying they had an incident with their pizza oven, so no pizza (what they are known for). But I had checked their menu online and they had a lot of other items on the menu and it was Saturday night in Waikiki, so . . .
Arrived at the restaurant at 8h30pm. The restaurant was surprisingly less than half full. We ordered a glass of white and pulled down the menu from the QR code. It was not until 8h50 that they came to take our food order whereupon our server told us that the kitchen closes at 9h, and this was pretty much last orders. My wife ordered a chicken dish. We were then told “sorry, no chicken left”. We started with Smoke salmon bruschetta (quite good but the base was soggy) and an arugula salad (not nearly enough of the advertised Padano cheese). She ordered gnocchi as her main course. Me, hanger steak. After 10 minutes, kitchen close time, the server came back and said “sorry, we can’t do the gnocchi”. “How about fettuccine with the same sauce”, I asked. No Gorgonzola cheese. My wife chose the risotto. It was good. And so was my hanger steak. The restaurant was soon empty except for 2 people on the barstools. We had to ask for everything we needed by hauling any one of the servers. I think this experience could potentially be a lot better, but it wasn’t good yesterday.
We went specifically for pizza & the oven was broke. We found out on arrival on a Saturday so we just kept our reservations. Service was weird. Everyone was nice enough but didn’t seem to be communicating. We had three different people bring our drinks out separately - just odd. For a “wine bar” it was a meh by the glass selection, over priced for what they were. The kitchen without pizza was clearly overwhelmed - again our meals came out totally random. Food was okay - Entree selections were limited ended up with all of us getting an app for a main course. My “app” came out before everyone else’s , husband “ceviche” octopus tasted like Italian dressing “, daughter risotto was good. Truly WAY over priced for what it was. The saving grace our waitress Tomiko was very nice & engaging.
Well to start, we were informed upon check in that they were unable to make pizzas due to a fire. Worse yet, they told me they knew about it for several days. They should have contacted us so we could have made alternative arrangements, as last minute waitlists would have been impossible. They didn’t notify us, because they knew we would have to stay. I promised my children a pizza night. If you have also promised your children a pizza night, please look elsewhere. Aside from that, the service was great and cocktails strong.
The food was very good. Jonathan the server was great. We were disappointed because we were told we only had an hour to eat because they needed the table. We had guests join us from Kailua & only had a little time catching up. We went elsewhere to have our dessert. They also had a fire in the pizza oven the night before & we were not able to order pizza.
Pizza was delicious. The ambiance was good and the prices weren’t bad for the Oahu.
The thin crust pizza was fantastic (Just like in Italy, not American style) and the shishido peppers are a must!
Our waiter was friendly and the food arrived quickly. The only downside was the noise from the traffic surrounding the restaurant.
Very cheap for what you paying for
The meatball is amazing!!!!!!!
It was great experience! I love the food and service was very good!
Tasty pizza. Very overpriced -especially the wine prices. Service was very slow and ruined the whole experience.
Very great food and customer service. Recommend the lobster salad!
Great service. Good food. But when it was suggested the pizza with extra basil was good I ordered it. But then in bill they charge an up $1 up charge. And charged me $2 for two tiny marinara sauces to-go. Not told it was extra. It was a $60 meal. No need.
Great happy hour! Great pizzas
We ordered the mushroom pizza and it seemed like it wasn’t prepared well since the mushrooms made the crust super soggy by the time the pizza reached our table.
Great experience--better than many of the over-priced places with attitude we went to in the area. Food was great, service terrific...
We liked everything we ate a lot. The spicy meatball, the caprese, the three cheese pizza, and margarita pizza. The old fashioned was not very good though.
Overall, we’d go back. Highly recommend.
Again. Great food and a great server but she had too many tables and did not get checked on much, empty glasses etc. I’m chalking it up to a management problem not a problem with server.
Brooke was amazing attendant and the four cheese pizza the bomb
Would recommend. Authentic style Italian pizza and affordable considering where you are. Fast service too. Parking is a little tricky if you aren't a local, so walk or call ahead.
Delicious food and drinks in a casual and inviting atmosphere. Wait staff was attentive but not annoying or pushy. Best service on Waikiki! Stone fired pizza and rich pasta dishes; I recommend this Italian bistro.
Best Happy Hour in Waikiki!
Food was very good, as was the service. It is a bit loud so not a place for a romantic dinner but otherwise it was fine.
Appetite was so yummy . We loved it there 😎
Scored a last minute reservation during Happy Hour. The food and drink were just what we weary travelers needed. The Lemon Drop was delicious! The wood fired pizzas were tasty too.
This place was amazing! It was so cute. They had a live band. Our serving staff were awesome. And the food was excellent!
Nice space and a decent menu when you need a break from Asian cuisine. The execution of the dishes needs work, including the pizza. We were there on a Thursday and they had live music, which was nice.
I had requested an outdoor table but that was limited due to the live musicians being out there. I understand that this cannot be guaranteed. We were a party of 2 seated at a bizarre configuration of 2 high tops pushed together with 4 stools. They took away 2 place settings but it was awkward. I ended up shoving one of the tables away and we used just the one and 2 stools. They got rid of the normal steak at happy hour even though it is still on the menu. (this is so easy to remove from your pdf menu, it's silly.) I was disappointed because that's what I really loved to get there. I ordered pizza and asked for half and half of 2 of the standard pizzas and they upcharged me $2 to do that. (Not a complaint, merely observation and FYI.) The shishito peppers were VERY spicy compared to other's I've had; and I like spice. (also just FYI.) The pizzas were truly delicious. I ordered the house rose that was on the happy hour menu. The list does not say what it is. (That could be a nice idea.) It was NOT delicious at all. But also not technically flawed. Just not "good" to me. Alas. You'll have that sometimes. Overall an ok experience. And I will likely go back because the pizza is really very good Napoli style.
We ate here twice while in Honolulu. We did get to happy hour once and the prices are good compared to the rest of Waikiki. Everything we had was delicious. I have many allergies and they accommodated with no issues. The service was great. Highly recommend.
Great food. Portions were just right. We arrived early for our reservation, because kids were hungry after long day of swimming. They took us other away.
We were seated quickly, beverages were excellent, and the food was the perfect portion and beyond your typical pasta dishes. Definitely prepared by a skilled chef, as the flavors were amazing!
Good is so good! We ordered hanger steak. And drinks are amazing! We would definitely come back for it again !
Very good pasta, prociutto and burrata. We will be back for the pizza.
Mixed and matched happy hour appetizers and drinks. All were delicious.
Friendly and accommodating staff. It was windy and they shut the large sliding door enough to cut down the wind blowing onto us. Pizzas were all very good. Friendly and attentive service. We wanted a Pizza and shaved ice night and this worked just fine.
Great food and amazing service!
Good food that are relatively light (not super filling), good portion (shareable, esp if you order multiple kinds), drinks are good.
