   Return visit with friends who had not been, amazed at the variety on the menu for such a local restaurant, very attentive service, excellent standard food, good portions and wide range of choices, very relaxed dinning, pleasure to have such an excellent local restaurant will take more friends and return ourselves

   My husband and I visited Apicius Restaurant, East Peckham for Sunday lunch and were made very welcome upon arrival. The menu was excellent and plenty of choice - Sunday Roast or a la carte . Food was really good and plenty of it. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced. I love the fact that the tables were laid with white linen tablecloths and napkins, always a nice touch and looks special. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly return and take friends with us. Well done to the staff and chef.

   Delicious food. This was our fourth visit and took my daughter and her partner. She has since raved about the restaurant to her friends. We eat out quite often and enjoy good food and quality wine. This restaurant provides both and the menu is good with a wide range and excellent vegetarian selection. Each time I have seen several items that I could have chosen and each time the waiter was able to direct me to the option he felt I would enjoy. We have not tried the Sunday lunch yet but looking forward to that in the near future. If there is any fault it would be that sometimes the service can be a bit slow, although the m Manager is always apologetic but we are more than happy to wait. I just feel I wouldn't want the restaurant to lose trade due to other guests who may not be as patient. This really is an excellent restaurant

   We have eaten here a couple of times now and each time we have had a very good meal, attentive and happy waiting staff and good value for money. This time it was my wifes birthday and the staff brought out her dessert with a candle and prompted the entire restaurant to a burst of Happy Birthday! Very nice evening, the mussels were lovely and a generous size to for a starter. We will be going back as the food and staff are very nice.

   My friend and I went for a meal on a Saturday evening recently and we were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a lovely intimate ambiance. The tables are cleanly set and are a nice distance apart lending themselves to private conversation. The male waiter who served us I think was called Tony and was very attentive and friendly adding to the enjoyment of the evening. The food is excellent, generous and well presented. We would definitely dine here again. This restaurant is a ver much needed and welcome addition to the village and we cannot recommend it enough.

   Fantastic meal as always the Sardines were wow and the steak melt in your mouth this is our favourite restaurant

   I have eaten here a few times and the staff are always super friendly and the food excellent. They did a set menu for mother's day and by their own admission had too many covers so they let themselves down on service. The set menu included a 10% tip but they took that off as they knew they hadn't delivered the service they should have. The food was excellent - freshly cooked and delicious. It is rare for establishments to put their hands up when they have a bad day - they've only been open a few months so I would have no hesitation in returning, or in recommending.

    Six of us went for Sunday lunch. Lovely warm welcome and superb food. Just the right amount of attention paid to us. Will be recommending you to friends!
