Nestled within the charming Georgetown neighborhood, Apero is a French restaurant — a café by day and a posh Champagne-and-caviar spot by night.

Located at 2622 P St NW in the heart of historic Georgetown it offers a neighborhood vibe situated along a quiet street lined with row homes and colonial era architecture with barista service weekdays with small snacks, evening dinner and weekend brunch.

The over arching mission of Apéro is to create a space that facilitates joy and a sense of welcome. "The best way to express how much you care is through acts of service," says Elli Benchimol, owner. "Making people feel welcome, familiar and at ease is what hospitality is about."

the coq au vent was very tasty but a little dry. All other dishes were perfection. The service was the star of the night. What a charming little restaurant to enjoy an evening with friends in snowy Georgetown.

Perfect food. Cozy & elegant atmosphere. The staff is cool, friendly & so so knowledgeable— especially about food & beverage pairing. The menu is small but every dish delicious. You cannot beat the caviar & bubbles for happy hour. Exceptional wine list. Definitely save room for dessert & a glass of port Patio is also charming

Both apero and la Bohème are amazing places to treat yourself or your loved ones for a delicious meal and extensive champagne list. Excellent caviar. Tasting menu at la Boheme is very creative and flavorful. I could eat there all the time but luckily for my wallet i live an hour away.

Such a great place for a special evening - staff is so welcoming and knowledgeable. Great menu with a lovely selection of choices and the cocktails are always perfection. Find myself choosing Apero often for special occasions or dinner with friends - always a sure thing.

This was my first time dining at Apero and it was phenomenal from the moment we walked in the door. Everyone was so hospitable! We were there for a 60th birthday celebration and it did not disappoint! From the beautiful drinks (Once Pecan a Time, Bloody Mary) to the lovely appetizers (deviled eggs and mussels) to the best burger (the mushrooms and caramelized onions gave it life!), the beautiful Belgian waffles with the macerated blueberries and strawberries, and the eggs Benedict…It was all at 10!Head on over and ask for Bryan. You won’t regret it:)

The Tim Burton Experience upstairs at La Boheme was a fun menu - everything tasted great and looked good too. The names of the cocktail pairings were inspired. The service was attentive and well timed, but not overbearing, and the noise level was perfect - we could hear each other but didn’t feel like everyone else could hear our conversation. It was a great time.

This was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. We had a 7pm reservation for two. We were not sat til 8pm. Zero apology and they didn’t care. They had TOTALLY overbooked their TINY restaurant. The woman who was working the front was so rude and condescending and made us sit alone upstairs. Service is bad and 22% was mandatory. Duck was overcooked. Full review on yelp and google.

I liked Apero very much, but I think it is more a fun place for drinks and caviar than somewhere I would do dinner again. James was a fantastic server and very knowledgeable.
