   We had eaten at Aozora several times in the past and always had a good meal and good service. Our experience on Mother's Day was excellent. We had 12:00 reservations and, despite the restaurant being exceptionally crowded, we were seated at a lovely outdoor table immediately. The service was also extremely punctual with no delay in taking the order or serving the food. The quality of the meal was up to their usual standards. I needed a change of one of the ingredients on a sushi roll, and despite the large number of patrons, this was done without complaint or delay. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this restaurant.

   Drinks and service took way too long. For the price they need to do a little better. Waitress said the manger stepped in to make the drinks. Hey manager, that’s your job to get it done when the staff is overloaded. Waitress was very nice, it was not her fault.

   Made a reservation for 9:15, there’s a 15 min window, got there at 9:20. When we arrived, it was instant awkwardness. The team was already packing up, mopping, cleaning, rushed us to seat and order. Barely had time to read the menu, just picked three random items. Told us the bar was closing before we even sat. Told us they were closing the kitchen before we could even order. Very unprofessional and skewed my experience. Not sure if I’ll be returning. Definitely sharing this with my hospital co workers. Food was good but ate it super fast so honestly not the vibe.

    Our server, she was great, but after when we went to go have a drink at the bar… Nobody would help us. It was almost like we were a bother. We don’t mind spending more for sushi but it was $260 for two people (before our drink at the bar). That’s ridiculous.

    It seemed liked they were short staffed. It took a while for our server Chanel to get to our table. She was very polite and attentive when she was at our table. But she was very busy and we had to call her to take our food order and even close out the check. She was very sweet and gave us a yummy dessert since we were celebrating. The food was good, but I feel was overpriced. Drinks were almost $20 but at least strong. The sushi quality was good, especially the hotate. The other fish was at a standard expectation of quality. Not melt in your mouth, but good. Definitely not $$$ good. I think worth coming back, if better staffed.

    This has become our go-to in Danville, which in general has way more sushi spots than are needed. Good quality, service, and ambience. Prices are in line with all of that.

    Great sushi. We had the Spicy Tina, Emerald, and Under the Sea rolls and they were all great. The waiter forgot our gyoza appetizer, but it was not a big deal. We probably over-ordered anyway.

    Ate here on 1/13/23 with my team and there were 2/3 tables that were very loud, one broke a wine glass while the other table cheered! The manager looked overwhelmed and while this is not their fault, they should have control the table. Some groups started leaving and while the food and service was amazing it made it seem like we were at a frat party. Our bill was close to $600dls so while it was a choice, we will not be coming back unfortunately.

    The waitress was sweet and helpful. She took good care of us. Tables are way too close together. Hard to get in and out of seat and hard to have a conversation. Food was good. Brussels sprouts were so yummy.
