This is a very nice local restaurant with good, quality food. I found it a bit expensive though.
Great neighborhood authentic French bistro with lovely staff and ambiance!
I ordered rack of lamb which was a special. Rack of lamb is normally roasted whole and then sliced. This was three meager 3/8” slices (i’m being kind) that were cooked individually and might have measured 6 ounces total. You know this by the grill marks on both sides. Because the pieces were so thin, by the time I cut into the second slice it was medium and 5he third well done. I ordered my dinner medium rare. When I pointed this out to the waiter he told me I should have told him with the first slice. No mention that the preparation was as lamb chops (albeit tiny ones), not as a rack. No consideration for what was $36. I would and will pass on this restaurant.
our 2nd time there and this is definitely going to be a regular for us. great food/great service/great ambience and prices for a bistro in manhattan are not outrageous.
Two people ordered same food items. Both found main course tasteless and dried out. When we told waiter he said that's how it is, sometimes. Never offered something else or to have coffee or dessert on house. Disappointing meal. First time to restaurant. Not rushing back.
Unfortunately my last visit to AOC East restaurant was not what I am accustomed to. The restaurant lacked experienced people. The food quality was not good. Most importantly the prices are super high. The $30 on Opentable needs to be rectified. The tapas that used to be $9 are now $16.
I am hopeful AOC East restaurant goes back to its old self. 😢 sadly I am giving myself time off from AOC Restaurant.
My friend and I dined here for a busy Saturday dinner. My friend likes A.O.C. on Bleeker St. and this place was nearby, so we decided to give it a try here. The entrance just looks like a hallway with a bar, so we were a little doubtful at first. But this place is a gem! Food is amazing, nice servers, noise level is a little high but energetic and cozy atmosphere balances it out. Will def come back!
Took a while to get wine list and then we didn’t receive 2 of our food orders. Orders showed up on tab which we got removed.
Love this restaurant - the food and atmosphere are perfect for sharing with special friends, events.
What a great spot. We usually set up and eat at the bar. This is our first time seated. It was great. Cozy, fun, lively and a great meal.
A bit loud
My favorite local haunt...great wine selection..of course...tuna tartare app. Is terrific.
Great food and service
Cramped space. Doesn’t look like pictures online. Good wine and food but weird music and too loud. Empty
It was loud and chaotic and crammed.
Always good. And always well priced. Always happy to dine at AOC.
Wonderfully flavorful food in a relaxed ambiance. Will definitely dine here again
Next to very loud table. Service was slow. Cow au vin not up to par.
Nice ambiance and great food!
A great neighborhood bistro. Good food and service.
We went for the burgers. They were good but the fries were not hot. Service is good. Restaurant is very noisy and very dark. Good local place. Nice staff.
The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. Service was very courteous until the very end, wishing us well on our way out. I can only highly recommend this restaurant.
Server was awful and lied to us about mussels turning poisonous when boxed in order to avoid packaging our leftovers. I assume he was just lazy as he put very little effort into serving us.
Brought two friends who had no idea that AOC had an upper east side location and they absolutely loved it.
My family and I eat here regularly. There isn’t anything on the menu that will disappoint. Great place.
Great restaurant! Really good wine selection and ambiance! Our go to spot
Food was ok. We ordered two salads. They were average. The burger for my son was good. Escargot good. But that came the same time as the other meals. My salad came 40 mins later
This place is going to have big issues when Quatorz opens up down the block. This vs Jean Claude? Not even close
Charming place. But I won’t be back. So many other bistro options in the vicinity. And it’s not exactly a cheap mean...
Food was pretty good but not a standout for the four entrees we had. Service was pretty good. The water was always on the table and refilled which was great but sometimes we were looking or waiting for the waiter. But he was very nice and accommodating. I really don’t like arriving at a restaurant with a reservation and there is no host or hostess in sight. That was the case this time and last. Finally we had an obnoxious French guy at the table next to us who dropped his drink twice, his fork three times, wreaked of cigarettes and complained incessantly and loudly about the escargot. But that’s not the restaurants fault. Overall I like having this place in the neighborhood and would return.

Cute place. Good wine. Nice food selection. Overall pleasantly surprised. Will come back.
Very cozy and warm atmosphere, great food and service! Also, live music
We brought family for dinner and they loved everything about it! The food, the service, the price! It’s long been one my my favorites and it’s always nice to have others feel the same way?
My parents and their friends were looking for a nice but easy spot for a Sunday dinner get together. The adult age children and parents in all families were impressed by the choice, the food, the waiters, all of it!
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had in Manhattan after living here for 3 years. The food was incredible, The sommelier/ owner was amazing-- picked us out the perfect wine based on my description of what I was feeling. He was also our host and our waiter, clearly very passionate about what he does. Every detail of the food, drink, and service was exquisite, thoughtful, and detailed. Can't wait to go back!!!!!
They lack French food and had almost none of the things we wanted to order.
The waitress had an attitude.
The value to price was far from matching
Our Friday go to neighborhood restaurant for a casual freindly dinner.
Great ambience and service. Delicious food. Wonderful date night spot.
Service was slightly slow when it came to actually ordering, but the food, ambiance, and everything was great.
Great experience overall. Honest and knowledgeable food and wine recommendations.
I have never had anything but great food at AOC.
Love this place! Excellent wine and service
