We had a fabulous dinner! Definitely order the Zuni chicken.
Everything was delicious and the service from Dana was impeccable. We can’t wait to go back.
Sat us outside around the corner in the cold no heater next to a homeless man. There were plenty of tables inside and my reservation said indoor seating. Food was not very good potatoes COVERED in cream got gross and curdled. Would not recommend very limited menu also. Wine was tasty.
Extremely overpriced. Food and service sub par, tiiiiiiiiny portions. Will not go back.
There was a very long hair cooked into my broccoli appetizer. Still trying to get over it.
Love the food, small bites make it easy to share. Bacon wrapped dates a must! Great wine list!
The food was excellent.
Also service was good. Our table was outside but the ambiance inside looked great
Just a very mediocre experience. We sampled five dishes and each one was incredibly bland. But if a head-scratcher.
Everything truly wonderful except noise was deafening. Do people really enjoy this kind of atmosphere? Too many large parties of loud MEN. We 3 women couldn’t hear ourselves across the table. My throat was sore from yelling. Would only come back if I can dine on patio.
Food was wonderful, service was a bit slow but overall really a great meal.
We thought the food was not as exceptional as we were expecting from previous experiences at AOC 3rd Street. Pretty average, except for the clams which were amazing. There seemed to be a shortage of staff and it took a long time to get another bottle of wine after our first. The servers were friendly and trying hard. The noise level was very high and it was hard to hear each other and the server. And the ambience does not seem as good as when this was Tavern. For the high price, this was not worth it at all.
The table are to close, no valet parking and Not enough attention from the waitress
It was too loud and difficult to hear everyone. The service was slow and the food was good, but expensive for what it was.
Went here for a team business dinner and the food and service were fantastic! Loved the decor and brightness of the restaurant. We tried several shared plates and loved all of them. We really enjoyed the bacon-wrapped dates, the farmer's plate, the mushroom focaccia and the fried chicken. Dessert is not to be missed as well including the chocolate torte with salted caramel and the crullers with peaches and blackberries. We really enjoyed our evening and experience.
Great food. Incredible wine list. Nice ambiance. Will definitely be back!
Good food, friendly staff, but extremely noisy. You had to shout. Why don't they check vaccination status? Many restaurants do, and especially with everyone having to talk loudly, thinking that people at the table next to you might not be vaccinated is a bit unnerving.
Amazing place and food! 👌🏼🔝
The food was absolutely amazing! I can’t believe how good the Spanish fried chicken was. Even though the plates were smaller, they were very filling. Make sure to save room for the crullers!
The food, which they say is for sharing, tasted delicious. The chef must be inspired. The portions are small, so at least 2 plates per person are needed, so the value is not super high, as expected in Brentwood. The vegetable platter was amazing. It's loud in there. Service was great.
Love having an AOC closer than the 3rd street location. Food and service were spot on as you would expect. I have to admit, I am a little bummed with the way they updated the interior. I miss the conservatory, and I found the whole ambiance a little dark and dull in comparison to Tavern and the 3rd Street location. But overall happy to have them in the neighborhood!
This restaurant has a joyous vibe. The food, cocktails, wines, and service reinforce each other and create the foundation for a deeply satisfying meal and experience. Plan to share dishes! There are so many terrific items on the menu, some seasonal. You'll want to try several dishes. Bacon wrapped dates! Heirloom tomato or stone fruit salad! Charcuterie, cheese, and focaccias! Hand cut noodles with crab! Duck confit! Za'atar lamb chops! Ode to Zuni chicken! Not to mention the desserts! I want to return to AOC again and again.
So happy to discover that AOC opened a Brentwood outpost! Enjoyed this location as much as we've enjoyed the West Hollywood original in the past. Always a great experience.
First rate in virtually every way. Fresh, creative, attractive. Too loud but nevermind. It's terrific.
Price for portion size is quite expensive. No explanation on the menu. Basically, Tapas size portion , but entree prices. I won't be returning.
Great food but be prepared for extremely small servings. The waitress even apologized in advance for the serving size. We choose to eat outside because of all the reviews of the high volume of noice inside the restaurant. It was chilly so make sure to bring a jacket.
We asked for an outdoor table. They initially sat in in no man’s land. While there was an outdoor area that was populated with other diners and had open tables, we were sat alone and right on San Vicente (VERY noisy). We asked to be moved and we’re accommodated, but this took about 20 min to resolve ….because trying to get someone’s attention was a challenge (remember, we were sat alone with nobody else around us, so the staff wasn’t readily available). We were moved, but all in, it took us 30 min from the time we arrived for our reservation to the time we were sat at a decent table and the heat lamp was put on. Apparently that was another point of confusion for the staff. Nobody could figure out how to light our heat lamp. The service was lackluster at best, despite the fact that there were servers everywhere at this point (apparently there were a bunch of trainees on duty). And my steak was ice cold. Not lukewarm, cold! Overall I was totally disappointed and have no plans to go back. Too bad, I loved the original AOC.
How do you screw up butterscotch pudding? aoc managed to, as well as miss a course and then claim that I didn't order it (when I reminded the waiter of the discussion we had over the menu item, he then confessed that he didn't write the order down), and serve my date his second course and entree while I waited with nothing. After 15 minutes of watching him eat, I told the manager about the abysmal service, and he was nice enough to comp the entree, which finally came 5 minutes later, too late for me to enjoy since my date was done eating. Perhaps out of embarrassment, our waiter ignored us for the rest of the meal, so we flagged down someone else and asked for dessert menus. Not to be outdone, the butterscotch pot de creme was grainy and mealy, the exact opposite of a light and fluffy creme pudding. I love aoc in W. Hollywood and it's shocking to see how badly it has been ruined in the Brentwood location.
Service and food were good but if you are planning to have a conversation… you can forget about it. It is so loud that you can barely hear the person you are with.
Noisy, not great service, no explanation of a non-intuitive menu, people pretty packed together. A bit of a scene. The food was so-so and the portions were odd, with no indication that one would be a small plate and one would be too much. Price was not an indicator either.
The food was delicious. Heirloom tomato salad and the lettuces salad were delicious. Fried chicken and steak were great and cauliflower too. We dined indoors in the dining area to the left as you enter. I think some sound absorption added to the ceiling would be great it was a bit loud.
Faantastic manager last night.
The service was very late - we had to wait 15 mins to place a drink order and another 20 mins to receive the drinks. the waitress took orders from a table arriving g after we did. Food servers tried to deliver other people’s order to us 2X!!
For these prices I can’t recommend AOC .
The food is amazing but next time I’ll do take out.
We were really looking to going to this restaurant and honestly was very underwhelmed. I’m sure they are getting back on their feet with their staff post pandemic, so I’d like to think that was the issue with the food and service.
The farmers table app was very good
Gem salad was super simple, but enjoyable
Prawns dish was a bit dry
Noodle dish was good, but took a very long time to arrive (I think they gave ours to another table on accident)
For the price I felt very underwhelmed and there wasn’t an acknowledgment from the server on on delayed food. They should have offered to comp a round of drinks (that also took quite a while to arrive).
We may try again in a few months as I’d like to think all of this was easily addressable.
All of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.
The noise level was a bit overwhelming, but what are you gonna do?
The prices are quite steep, but the food is overall pretty fantastic. Spanish fried chicken is insanely good.
Love AOC! Ambience is great as is the service. Great to place to wine and dine.
It is so loud inside that I couldn't even have a steady conversation without asking "What?" Food was amazing !!! Love the ambience but they need to figure out something to help with the insulation for noise level.
Food was fare...cold ambiance. Miss the Tavern
It was bustling for a Tuesday night. Very small plates (as an example, sea bass entree was probably ~3 oz and has no sides) without proportionally decreased prices. It was an OK dinner, left me with a stomach ache. Atmosphere was probably the best part of the restaurant.
The food and setting are very good.
The noise level was so high it was difficult to have a conversation with the 4 people at our table. Not sure why the acoustics are so bad. In addition, at one point the music was turned up ridiculously loud but others must have complained as it was turned down a little while later.
It was good. But we celebrated our birthdays and the waiter suggested a dessert (we didn’t have the dessert menu) and it was $32 which is outrageous. And there were only 2 and that dessert is for a few people
