My first time to AOC. All the dishes were very good. Especially liked the Farmers plate? If you like tapas, you gotta try this place.
It's extremely noisy. Need noise absorbing materials. But food is very good
The menu looks like you need to order 5 things but you really only need a couple. Portion sizes are decent, food is perfectly prepared and the alcohol selection is solid. Great date night spot.
Tried this AOC in Brentwood, very familiar with Robertson location - hoping that in addition to the 'standbys' there would also be new food items. But for one, all were the same, albeit well prepared and fair enough portions.
Service halted at times. Restaurant is simply too large, even with space remodeled. But the real downside is the noise level! We had moved to a different table but no matter where you may be seated, the noise is deafening and a distraction to the dining out experience.
Wines by glass menu disappointing.
Robertson location at least has very nice patio.
The noise was unbearable and we were seated in the room furthest from the bar. In addition to our conversations, there were periodic blasts of loud loud music. I will not return unless I can eat outdoors. Food and service were excellent.
Friends gathering after 2 years
The portions are too small for proper tasting for four people. They are really meant for two people, and the fish was not particularly fresh (I cook sea bass at home so I can tell the difference.
Food is excellent and service very good but noise level unbearable for seniors. Perhaps the 20's and 30's are able to tolerate the clamor.
Excellent food and an exciting menu with many choices. Love the small plate concept.
Overall wonderful experience!!! Outstanding food and service!!! The 4 of us enjoyed all! Thank you
Food was very good. Sadly, the restaurant seems to be suffering from a serious lack of help.
The food was wonderful. The service was excellent. The ambiance was acceptable. But the noise lever was so terrible that I and the rest of my group will never come back. What a shame.
First off, beautifully redone. the food was amazing. each dish was uniquely different and delicious. Combinations I have not had before that worked perfectly. Great personable and relaxed service. Can't wait to go back.
A good place for a meal. Service was relatively slow, especially compared to the original AOC, and server was often missing for longer than appropriate. But the food was excellent. The major issue I had was the lack of valet, something no upper end place should be lacking and the management really slipped here. REALLY slipped. The staff told me that it was bacause of the city, but I contacted a friend at the city and he called this nonsense. So maybe upper management need to do their job. A secondary issue was the poor selection of wine by the glass. Needs a new somm. But overall, I suggest going.
We have been looking forward to trying the new location of A.O.C. It’s just as incredible as we remembered. The food was delicious, the service top notch, and the atmosphere is both fancy and welcoming. We look forward to another meal at A.O.C. Brentwood VERY SOON!
Very nice place with good service and different food types.
Restaurant is cool as i kept my jacket on inside the whole evening
Food came efficiently
Portions are small
My halibut was served on what i would say is a bread plate but at the same time was very flavorful
Polenta and squash were wonderful as was the roasted vegetable appetizer
Skip the chard it was acidic and none of us could finish it
Way overpriced, terrible service, shoved in a corner without adequate heating or lighting
Food was amazing and the service was excellent and extremely friendly. Fabulous experience!
AOC is known for their food but the restaurant was so loud we had to scream to be heard.
Not sure we'll be back.
Service was terrible. Had to ask for water 3 times from e different servers. Food good otherwise.
Tasty small plates attentive wait staff and vigilant vaccination card check. Great evening.
Noise level absolutely jarring
It’s very nice to have an AOC on the Westside. As always, the food was tastey and thoughtful. Our waitress was excellent. However, the noise level was not conducive to an excellent dining experience. The waitress could hardly hear to take our orders and with a party of five, we were constantly having to project our voices. If AOC wants to be a truly A+ restaurant, they could take a lesson from European restaurants, where the quieter environment enables a marriage between good food and ease of conversation.
Great food, drinks, wine, service and atmosphere. It never disappoints.
We ordered Spanish fried chicken, which was burnt. Also, we had another that order was Braised short rib, and it wasn't marinated well as it was roasted a lot.
Great service! And delicious food.
Celebration of retirement.
Quality of food was much lower than the previous time I was there. Portions were so small, that it was beyond ridiculous. Tiny plates with practically barely any food - I’d be generous to say there were 2-3 big spoons of food on each plate. Flavor was nothing like the AOC I recalled or enjoyed in the past. I’m all for paying for a good meal - but they’ve just reduced portions and skimmed on quality/food.
Food was great - hosted from friends from NY and they loved it. We sat outside which is so beautifully done and thought out. Happened to be a very warm evening so it was a perfect evening.
Loved our host “Jake”
Super professional, and very helpful!!
Got us a perfect table in a flash!
Every course was delicious, service was excellent and a good value even though it's an expensive restaurant. The only downside is the noise level.
Everything all and all was great. Except they have to do something about the acoustics of that room. It was way too loud, hard to hold a conversation
Fantastic food and atmosphere! We would definitely return.
We were excited to try AOC for the first time. Half of our dishes were very good but have were just average. We regularly have small plates, but again, a couple of them were very small (salad, flat bread). Cauliflower was the class item. Excellent flavor, creativity, and good size. Ambiance was very good. Service was solid, not exceptional but acceptable.
I was expecting better from Chef Suzanne Goin. The food was really unexciting, overdressed, over seasoned. Service was slow. Noise level loud. Only bright spot was my martini made by friendly bartender while waiting for our table.
Noisy and dark ambience with difficulty to talk. Food was not great. Service was ok.
Over the top noisy, we could not hear each other at our table for 4. It took 20 minutes before our waiter got to our table to take the cocktail order.
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great but it was so loud we literally had to yell across the table to hear each other. I would not come back unless it was warm enough to sit outside comfortably. The food was great but most of the plates had tiny portions. Beautifully presented, fabulous cocktail list.
