Such a beautiful restaurant! Everything on the menu sounded so good! The food was so delicious and so flavorful. The staff was very friendly too! They also have a great selection of wine! I highly recommend this place!
Great Time at a brunch. Love the difference sections and ambience.
Wonderful space and fantastic food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch.
My wife and I have eaten at A.O.C. before, but last night was fabulous!
Amazing, creative rustic food, excellent service and all-around such a pleasure.
I'm not one to be unnecessarily enthusiastic or just be impressed because of the cache of a restaurant, although my review will sound like it. Our lunch at AOC was really a wonderful experience on all levels. It was hard to decide between a few of the brunch items, and my choice, the spanish fried chicken and cornmeal waffle with serrano ham and a light spiced glaze, was truly perfection. My sister got the AOC burger and fries, which was really amazingly delicious. Our dessert, the chocolate torte with espresso crema, was heavenly. Add to this culinary excitement a warm and excellent server and staff in a beautiful outside patio setting, and it was just what the doctor ordered after a pandemic year +. Fantastic, happy experience.
The meal wasn’t coursed out correctly and we felt ignored during points of our dinner. Some of the dishes were awesome, others were overly salty. Not the AOC I remember.
AOC is consistanly a very good restaurant with delicious food and beautiful ambiance..
Great space. Great wine list. Great food and service. Staff are super knowledgeable! My only complaint is the red wine is served at room temperature- rather than being kept at cooler temperatures. We put our $80 pinot on ice for a few minutes and it was fine. But some of those more expensive bottles, I have to imagine they are being stored more properly!
Met for a work dinner and it was great. Great service, great food and great ambience. What more can I ask for on a Thursday night, just beautiful!
Had a wonderful evening at AOC. The restaurant is beautiful and we sat on the patio, which was warm thanks to the patio heaters. The food was exceptional: everything we had was delicious and our server gave us some great pointers. On the whole, the service was good but could have been better. However, it was very busy, so we didn’t mind too much. Highly recommend AOC for a special occasion or date as it has a lovely, romantic atmosphere.
Beautiful, cozy and romantic indoor dining. Food is exceptional. Staff went above and beyond, and made the night so enjoyable. A real favorite place. GO AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!
Everything was exceptional as always! Delicious food and wonderful service.
A fantastic, lovely, delicious time. Very special place.
Went to AOC for the first time for daughter’s 21st birthday. Outdoor table was dreamy, food divine and something for everyone on the menu. Very friendly and accommodating. Effortlessly cool, May be my new favorite place in LA.
Great service and food. Enjoyed sitting by the fireplace
We had a delightful dinner while sitting on the charming patio out in front. The food was superb, the ambiance could not have been nicer and the waiter was efficient, friendly and welcoming. The prawns and the focaccia were my favorite menus items and my husband loved the Spanish fried chicken!
Very underwhelming experience. My wife and I were visiting LA, and decided to eat at the iconic AOC for the first time. The host stand was polite and professional. The meal started off well, but several hiccups later that should not happen at a restaurant of the stature of AOC. We each ordered a flight of their promoted Etna wines - white, rose, red. The red came entirely too warm - well into the 70's - so sent it back for a cooler sample. About 15 minutes later the waitress returned with appropriately cooled reds. The food was somewhat slow in arriving, and so we ran out of wine and needed to order more, but it was 10-15 minutes before our waitress came by, and another 5-10 minutes for the new wine to arrive. The food was all well prepared, but nothing mind-blowing great. We decided to not have dessert, and the bill was brought very quickly. Then an anxious-seeming host/manager came to the table and asked if we needed anything else, but was implying that we should leave quickly. We paid the check, and before we could stand up from the table, a busboy came and started wiping and arranging our table. We were surprised and shocked at this sudden pushiness for us to leave since the service had been relatively slow, and since there were many empty tables and no customers were waiting at the host stand for a table. We were there for a total of two hours, which maybe was too long, but it was the waitress and the kitchen that set that pace. There are too many exceptional restaurants in LA to have to accept this type of experience.
Great wine list, lovely atmosphere, yummy food. Try the Green Goddess cocktail.
we had to move to the communal table because the party of people next to us was sooo loud. It was impossible to hear our voices. Unfortunately, the restaurant was packed without table options to move to so we moved to the communal table which was quieter.
I would recommend this restaurant but ask in advance if they are seating you near a anyone's celebration?
Good food and nice outdoor patio. Food not as great as other comparable small plate restaurants for the cost.
Really really poor service— our waiting was super sub par.
Had to constantly look for them, flag them down for simple things like drinks & clearing plates to make more room.
The timing of the dishes was really bad too. Sometimes right on top of each other, sometimes 10-15 mins in between.
Just an overall pretty poor service experience from a place i usually love.
The food was excellent, the service was 5 star! We sat on a patio with a bunch of heaters and it was actually a little too warm which is surprising. Other than that it was a fantastic experience.
Delicious food and atmosphere. great cocktails. Our server was lovely.
This was my first time here! I absolutely adored our server Michael. The food was delicious. Sunch an interesting blend of flavors!
Ahhh It’s nice to find a cute restaurant, with a great service and good food!
That girls night was perfect. We were in the patio, we loved everything about AOC!
Really looked foreword to dinner after daughter gave birth at Cedar Sinai. Service started out well in ordering bottle of wine & changing table bc of draft. Then appetizers came & before 1/2 finished our entrees & vegetable sides came. While reasonably prepared, they were lukewarm & totally rushed our meal. We asked the server to slow things down & somewhat curtly were told everything was small plates & that was the way things were done ( a surprise since there was no explanation on the menu or by the server of what to expect) when I asked the server to speak to the manager he replied abruptly he was the manager & walked off. I asked to have my entree of short ribs heated & they were never returned but still on the bill & had to ask to have the charge removed. Off nights can occur but genuine interest in the customer’s experience shows respect & class.
Visiting this restaurant is a must.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was so friendly and attentive; and they didn't rush us out; wine and food was terrific.
Can't wait to go back with more family members!
We spent a number of Sunday evenings on the patio at AOC since the opening up after the lockdown earlier this year. The food is so inventive and fresh, and the service is solicitous (though the tiniest tad slow to order, consistent with a shortage of waiters/waitresses). They get it consistently right. Thank you, Mss. Goin and Styne.
After touting this to out of town visitors as “my favorite restaurant in LA”, it was actually very average and disappointing. The spacing of courses and sparse appetizer portions was embarrassing. The outdoor seating was nice but really way too many customers for the space. It was a great place when it was small and cozy and dishes were perfectly cooked. Hoping that the opening of the Brentwood location and new concessions in DTLA do not dilute the beautiful AOC experience.
Our fireside patio seating created the perfect ambience for our girls night out. The cocktails were delicious (Green Goddess!). We tried five or six food items, got doubles of some of our favorites and shared it all between the seven of us and loved every dish. My only suggestion is to provide a bit more lighting on the patio. The ambience is lovely, but it was so dark at our table that it was difficult to see the food dishes. Our large round table had one small candle. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Wonderful environment and food! Highly recommend. Great service.
The service here is out of this world. Everyone is so kind and attentive and the food is just delicious.
As good as I’ve always heard it was! (Our server was terrific, thoughtful, and precise; the one-star ding was purely bc he seemed stretched thin in that pandemic-era-staffing sort of way). Ate outside on the patio, which was delightful, but am looking forward to coming back for the dining room.
They transformed the valet parking lot into a beautiful garden.
The service is always really great at AOC- The french toast was absolutely divine--
Sunday brunch with an out of town friend. The attentive waiter suggested the Farm Plate which was amazing; fresh veggies, great spreads. The green Chile carnitas plate was satisfying and had a slow burn from the chili’s. The virgin Green Goddess was also spicy and satisfying.Lovely place to eat or just relax with friends
Delicious cocktails, excellent wines by the glass, and tasty tapa style food. The only downside is that the food was so good I ate too much
