   Being seated at the corner table for (4) by the wall gave a wonderful view of the restaurant. We arrived at 6 and there were lots of empty tables still. The waitress was pretty attentive with the drink order and taking our meal order. After that it went downhill. The appetizer arrived fine, but the sushi entree took a long time. I was facing the sushi bar and saw two prepared plates sitting there for at least 15 minutes which were finally delivered. The waitress next appearance was with the final billl!!!

   Haven't been in years because I live so far away. I was so happy to take a friend to see a concert at Feinstein's at the Nikko. Oh my the food was fabulous, the drinks were delightful and I wish I had more room and more time. I'd like to go back into the city just to eat there!

   I recently dined at ANZU in San Francisco, and it was an incredible experience overall. The food was perfect—every dish was full of vibrant flavors and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch, attentive, and professional, and the elegant ambience added to the upscale feel of the evening. However, I was a bit disappointed that they missed a personal touch. I selected the birthday option when making the reservation, and my daughter even wore a birthday tiara, but no birthday dessert was brought out for her. I had specifically chosen ANZU because their birthday presentations looked so special in photos, so it was a bit of a letdown. That aside, it’s still a fantastic spot for an elegant dining experience.

   We had the Cioppino, two of each oyster, Raviolo and French Fries. Started with oysters which were overwhelmed by a soy based sauce that was already on the oysters. It would have been better to have as a side as a few drops would have been enough. The Cioppino was a bland watery tomato soup with overcooked fish, shrimp that you would find at the grocery store, squid that was chewy and cut in rough strips. It was served with two haphazardly toasted tasteless pieces of bread- not baguette as one knows it. Whoever made this has no idea what SF Cioppino can taste like. The bowls it was served in were cold. We also had Raviolo which while presented nicely lacked flavor- the overarching taste was of Mushroom Duxelles which was tasty- however the goat cheese was lost, and again the kitchen temperature impacted it. The best part of the dinner was the french fries- the only way to redeem the poor food that preceded it. I don’t know how this restaurant warrants 4.75 Stars unless it’s for the sushi and the atmosphere. Probably best to stick to the Sushi Bar- that food looked great.

   The food was excellent. I ate the lamb, which was juicy and full of flavor! The ice cream for dessert was also great! Will definitely come back and the service was outstanding.

   The food was beautiful and delicious. The waiters were poised and efficient. It was very nice, comfortable atmosphere out of the hustle and noise of the city.
