rustic levain bread, hass avocado schmear, soft boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, crispy pork belly
spicy tuna, salmon, avocado, cucumber lime, cilantro, jalapeño, ponzu
good food in a pleasant atmosphere, but if they're going to charge $7.00 for a hot chocolate (not exorbitant, but...), they could at least make it from scratch, not serve a lukewarm Swiss Miss tasting beverage.
Always enjoy my dinners there! Service is excellent .
It was spectacular from beginning to end. Beautiful restaurant. gracious staff - food and drink were exceptional/ Black cod, short ribs, sushi the rock appetizer. The best!
This was our first visit to Anzu and not sure what to expect. But the food and service was excellent. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been there before. We plan on returning.
The Party of 6 enjoyed everything at ANZU! What a way for the birthday celebration! They even made a special birthday cake with a rice popcorn decoration! How super nice is that! Love it!
Three of us had the Sea Bass which was $37 per entree. None of us had ever had a piece of fish so small. It was almost appetizer size. A few vegies in there and we all were hungry after the meal. Quite disappointing as I've had sea bass many times in type of broth and this was not up to the level expected.
The 72-hour braised beef short rib is the TRUTH! It's so soft that it literally falls apart when you stick your fork in it!
Nice restaurant and good food. A bit wonky to get inside the hotel and upstairs during Covid. Do try the Rock and the braised short-ribs were on point.
Available menu is NOT what is listed on OpenTable. All of the featured beautiful dishes shown here are NOT available at the restaurant. What you'll get is overpriced food-court level sushi delivered by over-seated servers (our waiter was very friendly, but clearly had too many tables sat). We spent a birthday here and were SO disappointed. On top of that, the restaurant brought a birthday desert without asking, then charged us for it. So disappointing. Skip this restaurant!
the food overall was excellent. Appetizers, main course and desert. The only complaint was that our main entree' came in very late. Our server was very apologetic about it and offered our desert free of charge.
Typical fancy date night restaurant, small petite portions with delicious flavors. The black cod was wonderful thanks to the miso base around it. The dessert was very nice as always.
Very friendly and professional. Everyone is really nice and the food is divine. The bartender can literally read your mind. Definitely recommend !
Been here many times. The last time the service was abysmal. This time our server was very good. Excellent actually. One of our orders was the hamburger which was good but got charged for cheese and avocado which we didn't know was extra resulting a $30 burger which is pretty pricey. The lack of bread service is a disappointment as well. It's a good restaurant but a bit overpriced.
We spent first night at the bar and second night dining and the bar after. The food was great with the exception of the Anzu roll which was just an average tasting sushi roll. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. Was also a fan of the crispy Brussel sprouts. It was David’s first weekend bartending for Anzu. He was awesome but seemed to be thrown in there without being properly trained on their system. Also what kind of establishment has the only bartender leave the busy bar to take orders and serve drinks at the tables? Kudos to David for a job well done!
Little too pricey. Parking costs money. Otherwise good sushi and great service
Very much enjoyed. Try the rock - great steak flavor and sauces.
Great menu, excellent service, so happy to eat out !
Excellent food, service and ambience!
Amazing atmosphere and amazing staff. The food was incredible. Will be back for more
The food was fantastic. Best omlrt I have ever had. The kids loved the Belgian waffles and pancakes. The potatoes that came with the omelet were just perfect. Portion size was just right. I would definitely dine here again and recommend this restaurant to all hotel Nikko guests.
Service was good, but the food was hit or miss. The sea food was really good, the rest not at all. My husbands steak came cold.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Really enjoyed the rock, and the short rib. The Paloma was excellent as well. Will definitely be coming back.
Great food and service at Anzu. Perfect dinner before seeing a show at Feinstein's at the Nikko. Great evening!
The menu is a little limited and very over priced but we enjoy the service and afterwards a show at Fiensteins.
We had theater tickets and needed to be out in an hour, they were wonderful and they didn’t skimp on the food. It was delicious. We’ll return when we have more time and enjoy the ambiance.
Beyond amazing! Service was 10 stars!! Drinks and food delicious!!!
Curtis is awesome. Food was great!
It took almost 30 minutes to be served a drink. Cesar salad was fair. Poke roll was excellent. Chicken breast overcooked. Black cod was divine.
Wonderful experience in a beautiful setting. Try The Rock and the veggie egg rolls.
Not enough service. Took an hour to order and get appetizers. Maybe give edamame to placate diners. Food incredible. Once we got it.
All around excellence.
Loved “The Rock” and the service was impeccable.
The service person basically acted like he didn't really like what he was doing and was rushing to get out of talking to you. He even did not get the right order for the dessert and then arrived pretty late.
Anzu is refined, classy, and very relaxing. Service is some of the best we've had -- very attentive, friendly, and efficient.
I could do with a more expanded menu as most dishes have either avocado, very spicy ingredients, or raw fish --none of which I eat. The garlic noodles with shrimp was good, but not something I would order again. Their green and caesar salads were outstanding as was the cheesecake.
Really good experience. The sashimi was fresh and the short ribs… spectacular!
here for a date night for impression, but the food is ok, especially with the great food that SF has around the neighborhoods!
The food was very average for the cost. I took my wife for a birthday dinner and I was disappointed to see they only had one vegan option.
The reservation desk young man was polite, expeditions and engaging. Our server was prompt and the food was excellent
