Antoya is one of the oldest Korean BBQ restaurants in South Korea. We have been established as a barbecue house since 1976 and have kept our traditions for over 42 years.

excellent barbeque and and overall high quality. only complaint is the front desk where the hostess is rude upon check-in. She's more interested in answering the phone than actually acknowledging your existence.

Pricey, loud. Our waitress was too busy so asked another server to get us a fork but was ignored. Had to wait for our server to come back to get a fork. The food is ok but not necessarily impressive. Don't think we will go back.

We had a 5 pm reservation and arrived at 445. We were seated right away and then waited a long time until anyone came to take our order. Upon ordering drinks we were told the bartender had stepped out and would be back in 20 minutes.

The quality of the meat deserves the only credit. Arriving on time with the advanced reservation was restricted to finish within one hour time period is not acceptable. Either including the time limits on the reservation platform, otherwise I do not see why should people make reservations anymore.

On a busy night it's pretty crowded. You're very close to other tables and you can't really hear the people at your table. The food is tasty but I was not too happy about the portions. We couldn't cook the food ourselves either but it makes sense because they are trying to get people in and out as quickly as possible. The crowd was insane.

We had a reservation and were supposed to be there by 4:30 but I had to call them saying we were running late because of traffic they said it was fine our table was gonna be ready by then. We showed up and them made us wait 55 minutes to get us sat. The taller hostess was pretty nasty when we asked he if we were going to get our table. Food was alright nothing outstanding

I've been here a few times and I've always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. My most recent visit however was a bit disappointing. I'd picked here for my birthday and have a friend who was a gluten sensitivity. They'd checked online and seen gluten free options, and on the menu on the outside of the building, there were also gluten free options. When we sat down, those options weren't on the menu and we were told they were only on the lunch menu and could not be made for dinner. Nothing on the menu could be made gluten free except for the barbecue meats which were in the $45 range. We ended up going elsewhere, and while it all worked out it was disappointing that they were unable to make an accommodation for such a common allergy.

The outside venue is good. though the waitress could be more attentive, the bartender is on point and his sangria skills are well crafted. we will be back again and the dancing cow on point.

Very loud, terrible acoustics, in a fairly narrow restaurant. Hectic, crowded, and not for the elderly or faint of heart. The Galbi marinated short ribs were terrific, as were the banchan. Servers cook and scissor cut your meat; if you like doing it yourself, go elsewhere. The tongue with pineapple and miso was a delicious gamy curiosity; be sure to use salt and chili paste after grilling. And Be sure the thin slices are not over cooked, they toughen quickly. The pork belly was two slices of thick cut bacon, fairly bland, and probably overpriced. The egg casserole with spicy cod roe is a cheap and filling side. A mixed bag, I’ll wear earplugs and go again just for the marinated beef dishes.

Good place to try the Korean BBQ experience. However, there is lot of noise you can barely speak. If you are doing BBQ the waiter cook for you and sometimes it feels awkward. Make sure to book a table inside if doing BBQ, outside seems uncomfortable and they bring already cooked from inside the meat.
Good cocktails, we personally tried Moscow Mule there and was tasty!

My reservation was at the last lunchtime slot, 3:00 p.m. Presumably because they are very busy at lunchtime, the restaurant requires a credit card to guarantee the table. Perhaps this is to build some kind of illusion that this place is “happening.” It’s not. We were received into an empty dining room by indifferent & obviously exhausted staff. I ordered the top beef menu for 2… the kimchi dishes they brought out looked & tasted like they had been plated several hours before. The beef presentation was ridiculous: dry ice billowing clouds over the plate… perhaps to hide the quality. The staff served & cooked it enthusiastically… as if they were bothered to do it. To boot, there was a change of staff & the woman that started grilling the kalbi left it to char on the grill. The icing on the cake Was that I was charged the dinner price instead of the lunch price for the set.
I did not complain, nor make a fuss, because I was entertaining a friend from out of town & didn’t want to ruin the experience (which he seemed to be enjoying.)
By far, this was my worst experience in Korean barbecue in my 22 years living in NYC & eating at MANY places.
It’s unfortunate to not have high expectations met, especially after remembering better ones there some time ago.
There are better places.
