Antonio's Cucina Italiana
Antonio's serves up fresh & tasty dishes from both northern and southern Italy. While dining you're surrounded by 18th century prints of Italian Renaissance artists such as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, and authentic Italian music serenades you in the background. Located on historic Beacon Hill, across from Mass General Hospital, Liberty Hotel, and Wyndham Hotel. Serving Lunches $11.00 and under and diner $23.00 and under. Antonio's is a great neighborhood destination. The Boston Globe calls Antonio's "A treasure for anyone who happens upon it."
A great place for lunch and dinner. The lunch specials are not only great deals but really, really delicious. Very close to MGH - very convenient.
Love it here! Their specials are amazing & homemade pasta is wonderful, usually fusilli!
Reasonable cost. Good food. Great waitress.
Second time visiting... Was amazing again!! Will return when we are next in the area.
3 years since I was in Boston. Took 2 friends & they are now believers. BEST dinner we have ever had, BAR NONE. Large portions, we missed lunch just to be able to have 3 course meal. Can't wait to go back.
Generous portions and reasonable prices. The setting is authentic Italian and I would recommend it.
Delicious authentic Italian cooking with excellent daily offerings in addition to the full menu. All at reasonable prices.
Perfect spot for dinner in Beacon Hill. Off Charles Street so not as crowded, with all the fantastic amenities of The Hill including ambiance, great food and good wine. Definitely became a Jones favorite in one sitting. Our waiter Anthony was PHENOMENAL.
I’ve always had wonderful meals at Antonio’s!! The food is great, the prices are fantastic, the service is phenomenal. It is a quaint restaurant with an authentic Italian feel.
Delicious food after two long appointments at Mass General. Both visits were great. Delicious home made pasta, will definitely go back more.
Can’t wait to make a return there👍🏽❤️
I was just having dinner out with my Mum and even though it was packed and lively, the noise was not intrusive. We had a fantastic seat, our server was very nice and the food was, as always, unbeatable! Antonio’s is my favorite Boston restaurant. The food is fresh, tasty and priced well.
It's your every day Italian Restaurant. Feels homey. We were seated next to the loudest table I've ever experienced. Food was OK... Lobster Ravioli was excellent, Chicken Picata was soggy and a bit bland. Service was decent. VERY good prices. It's a nice spot for a solid cheap meal with friends, but I wouldn't be taking a date here.
Great food and great price
We love this place! We visit every time we are in Boston
Antonio's simply said is the best!!
Can't say enough about Evelyn our server. She is a professional and made our experience there top notch.
This is authentic Italian cooking.
The eggplant with garlic is soooo good.
You will not go wrong if you choose Antonio's.!!!!
We had prosciutto, mozzarella and tomatoes for starter. I had haddock special (served with shrimp). Hubby had veal special. Everything was super delicious!! We will definitely return here.
Noise level was off the charts for a Saturday early evening. The server left us one piece of chocolate with our check...we were a party of two. I guess we should have split the tiny piece of chocolate. Server seemed annoyed that we paid with cash. The marinara sauce was bland, almost as though it was out of a can. No spice. Thank goodness for table salt and pepper. Overpriced for the quality of food we received.
The main selling point is their food but their staff is also lovely.
The appetizers were very good --bruschetta and artichokes margarita We ordered the chicken piccata with homemade fusilli and it was excellent, the veal parm also excellent and one of the specials--homemade fusilli with shrimp and scallops in a light vodka tomato sauce which was delicious. We also ordered a bottle of Montepulciano which was perfect and had THE best cannoli for dessert which was a recommendation from our wonderful server, Robin. The cannoli was outstanding! The school was crisp and the filling was smooth and tasty--not too sweet. Delightful!
Great grub. Rhetoric free, friendly, efficient staff
Consistently great, comfortable environment and pleasant staff.
Food was good but the mea started with cold, hard bread. Ambience was excellent and the food came quickly. Service ok. Waited for refills, etc. definitely recommend just based on the seafood a la vodka...so good.
Great..Food was fantastic and price was great
Marinara sauce was horribly bland. I can buy better sauce from Ragu or Prego at the supermarket. And the floor looked like it hadn't been swept in a couple of days. Would not go there again. It was convenient to MGH, and that is it's only selling point. I have Never had a bad meal in Boston's North End and will walk or Uber over next time I am at MGH.
Perfect food and location. Charming neighborhood restaurant, just the way it should be. Had lunch mid-week and needed a reservation as the place fills up every table starting at noon. Shrimp scampi perfect blend of butter, garlic and shrimp. Portion size just right for mid-day. Only disappointment is the bread. Just so-so, store bought level in flavor and quality. Friendly serving folks who know they make delicious Italian food every day.
I was going to a Boston Cetics game and decided to take my friend here for dinner before the game. I had the chicken with broccoli and pasta, and my friend had the chicken marsala. The food quality was excellent; the prices were very reasonable and the service was great also. This local restaurant is a wonderful choice for dinner near Charles St. and TD Garden. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Everything was great... food, service, etc. Cheese raviolis were great! Gnocchi al forno yummy (especially if you want something with lots of cheese). This is a very small restaurant, almost resembles a restaurant in the North end. Only “complaint” would be food came out super quick... for some, that’s great... I was hoping to spend a little bit more time there for a night out . Overall 4.5/5.
Uh..... wish the staffs are more friendly....?
Did not feel welcomed at all? Food was okay not super marvelous?
Good restaurant for a long dinner with a group of friends or family! Friendly staff!
We dine here frequently as it is one of our Boston favorites. We have written more than one flattering review on Open Table and TripAdvisor. Have been really happy here, and in turn have given you a lot of business and talked you up frequently. I believe it has been a good two way relationship. So, you can imagine our shock and total disappointment, when your “host” arrived at our table at the 90 minute mark, knocked loudly on it, and told us it was time to leave. I dare say the dessert and coffee we had barely finished was still hot, and the ink hadn’t time to dry on the check. We understand it was NYE, but there really must be a better way to do it. I see several other reviewers have said the same thing. This doesn’t surprise me, since when I spoke to the owner, no remorse was offered, but I do appreciate the fact that you went out of your way to explain that we were in the wrong.
I apologize that it has taken us so many visits to “get it”. You are a “fast food” restaurant. Since we aren’t interested in that kind of experience when spending $200 (4), now we have to find a new Beacon Hill “favorite”, and I consider that a tragedy.

good portions , quick service and hearty food - really enjoyed
This is one of my favorite places, precisely because it is just a good, reliable, real, Boston Italian restaurant. Not fancy, not pretentious, not expensive. If you are nearby at Massachusetts General Hospital and you need a stress break, go here.
I find that the food is consistently good at Antonio’s, but we were rushed out the door. Wait staff kept asking to take our plates even though people were still eating.
Always a secure choice. Easy access from 93 and storrow .
A slice of the North end without the crowds and parking issues.
Amazing service, incredible food, wonderful atmosphere!
This is a quiet Italian restaurant close to MGH. The food is acceptable, but not exceptional, the portions are huge.
The Italian bread is good, but would be better if it were served warm. When ordering wine, they fill the glass to the top, so it's like getting two glasses for the price of one.
Food was not worth the money :(
our first visit to this restaurant on a thurday evening... despite the restaurant being completely full, we were waited on and served very quickly and they handled my husband's food allergies safely and we made it to a show in the neighborhood in time
