Antonio's Cucina Italiana
Friday - Saturday : 11am - 10:30pm
This was our second time at Antonio's ...as before, food was wonderful...service was a little slow, but they were busy....would recommend...but know the place is really small...tables are very close to each other...but otherwise place is great...especially the food!
Great meal. This place was recommend by three or four people. Short walk from the Mass General Hospital. We had Veal Piccata & a Veal special that was like a Cordon Blue (ham & cheese inside a rolled veal patty). Some of the pastas are homemade. I tried the homemade fusilli and it was excellent and cooked al dente (mmm!). The menu has a lot of options. The place is small and it was very crowded on a Tuesday night. One strange omission from the menu was calamari. There was otherwise a good choice of appetizers. Food was excellent and was served very quickly (maybe not so good if you feel that is rushing you out). We were fine with it. Will definitely go again.
It was a rather embarrassing pick for a dinner with colleagues. The host, who was probably the owner, was not friendly on arrival and pointed to the table instead of escorting anyone to their seat. The server barked off the specials while looking off into space. It was hectic and distracting the whole time. They acted as though they wanted us up and out about ten minutes into our meal - they were staring at us, trying to take plates when we hadn't finished at all, were annoyed when we ordered dessert. I don't think anyone smiled or was the least bit hospitable the entire time. I think Olive Garden puts more thought into their food - everything tasted like uninspired cafeteria Italian food. The best thing was the canoli, which I pretty much had to shove down my throat because they wanted us to leave so badly.
When ever I dine here, I ask myself why I don’t come here more often. The food is great, the portions generous, the prices are good.
The food was amazing! It's a small "hole in the wall" restaurant that I am so happy we found! We will definitely be back again.
Terrific food. Not noisy. And not expensive. Highly recommend.
We had a family dinner here and it was warm, cozy, friendly and welcoming - exactly what we were looking for. Really liked the vibe and the service.
Food so delicious. People so nice. Small restaurant with great Italian food!
Bit of a long wait, despite having a reservation. Crowded, but great well-priced food. Would recommend for a nice evening!
Food was authentic and excellent. Noise level was louder than I would like, but food and service made me overlook the noisy atmosphere.
This has been one of my favorite Boston spots for over 2 decades now!
Outstanding Italian food made from scratch in a tiny kitchen, chicken Marsala to die for , huge portions at very reasonable prices . A true Jewel !
Great spot. Food was wonderful
Always reliable. Great menu. Plentiful portions. Staff treats you like family.
It provides wonderful service in a cozy setting. The portions were very generous and exceptionally tasteful.
A wonderful place to enjoy fine Italian food. Go early for best seating.
Food was delicious. Service was rushed and crass. Rough around the edges staff make it obvious that they’re tired of patrons, rushing, understaffed, and not happy in their job. The $29 bottle of wine is a $5 bottle of wine in store and made 2 of my friends violently ill. Bar is the size of a bathroom counter and offers no glass options only bottle. Very very few drink options. Very crowded and small but kind of cute. For such delicious food they need major renovation. Also suuuper obvious that the mafia runs this joint. This place is good for people who want tasty food and expect nothing else.
Excellent Italian food and homemade pasta. Every entree came out piping hot because cooked to order.
Service was excellent and friendly. Portions are also great size.. everyone in our party took home leftovers.
We have dined here many times and always had a great experience and food prices are very reasonable for Boston.
This is a neighborhood favorite (West End of Boston) with huge portions of delicious Italien food at reasonable prices. The service is wonderful with colorful waiters and waitresses. Reservations are recommended as it is always packed.
Terrific dinner. Fantastic service. Delicious dessert. Coming back soon!!!
We were guests at the Liberty Hotel. Just five minute walk from Antonio’s. Delicious manicotti and Chianti to start, a veal special, and fresh scallop and shrimp with pink vodka sauce and enough pasta for two of us. Generous portions. Relaxed but wonderful. Highly recommend.
Excellent Italian food at a great price. Service was great. So glad we went.
Good good. Consistently delicious good. Close to MGH!!
Outstanding food, service and value. Our waitress, Sharon was very attentive, caring, professional, and polite!
One of my family's favorite restaurants. Nothing too fancy, just delicious Italian food at reasonable prices with terrific service. Very comforting for any occasion.
It was not a good experience over all. The worst was the rude behavior of the waiter. Additionally, even though the restaurant is open until 10 pm, at 9.30 the staff was already cleaning the restaurant while we were still eating and did not care about us at all.
Consistently good.......friendly staff.......great food
Sharon and waitstaff were amazing and really tried to please. Thank you!
We grabbed a reservation here because it was a short drive to the concert we were attending. This place was not the worst but certainly not the best. We started with the fried mozzarella, it was good but came in a puddle of grease. I really wanted to enjoy it but the old grease taste was overwhelming. I ordered the veal parm again it was ok but VERY greasy and had that "time to change the grease" taste. The pasta came in a separate bowl but there was barely any sauce on it and they charge an extra $1 for angel hair because it was "homemade" but I very much doubt it was homemade! It tasted like it came straight from a box. My daughter had the chicken parm which had the same issues. My niece had plain pasta with garlic and oil which she seemed to enjoy, but really can you screw up pasta with oil? I don't think I'd return.
Outstanding homestyle Italian. All entrees had exceptional flavor and were delivered hot - even on a busy Saturday night. Could be loud for some, but the food quality is great.
The food was really delicious. The portions were so large that each main dish would readily feed two people. It is quite crowded and a bit noisy due to conversation, but it actually adds a bit to the atmosphere and I didn't mind how tight the space was. I will definitely go back again!
Luckily this is right down the street from our apartment, otherwise it would have been quite a disappointment. We were immediately greeted by what we assume is the proprietor, watching football on his iPad and pointing to our table. For an Italian restaurant, the staff was quite limited in their knowledge of Italian cocktails (had no idea what Campari or Aperol was). The food did arrive quickly but nothing special. Between the lack of ambiance and average food, I don’t feel it’s worth another visit, for the price. Might be OK for weeknight last minute take-out.
Excellent meal, great service from Sharon and Stephen. Seafood was fantastic, as well as Chicken Parm. Recommend without hesitation. Thank you!
Food was a little over priced for what it was.
My wife and I were visiting Boston. We went to Antonio's on a whim based on the reviews we read and both of us were very pleased with our meals and experience. The dinner was fantastic and the service was quick and friendly. The pasta dishes were some of the best we have ever tasted and the desert was fabulous. We will definitely visit here again the next time we are in Boston.
Recommended to us by a state rep as we were touring the State House, and he steered us right. Delicious food, and fun atmosphere. Felt like it was family-run, in a good way.
Good food and nice service. When making reservation notes it was my son’s 26th birthday and no acknowledge by restaurant at all. Food was good but atmosphere was very bright and squished. Good for Family but don’t recommend for romance or intimate dinner.
All 6 of us in the party were very impressed with the atmosphere, service and food. The food was excellent and the proportions are huge, or sharable and enough for 2. It is small place and not overly loud. You will need to book in advance.
Felt like going to your Italian grandmothers for dinner. Portions we amazing, food delicious and staff could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely be returning.
Very friendly, great portions and the food is really good.
The staff is friendly and can be wise guys, but in a good way. They make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in their door.
