We had been recommended to try Antione’s by a couple from New Orleans. The food was very poor. We ordered a salad to share - supposed to have egg and goats cheese. There was no egg and the barest crumble of goats cheese. We were given a roll between us and when we asked for butter we were told they had run out. We went for the bottomless wine deal and were told after 2 glasses that they had run out of the Whispering Angel Rose. We complained and the head waiter miraculously found another bottle. We felt they were trying to pull a fast one. We both had shrimp gumbo which was adequate, but nothing to rave about. Dessert was a caramel bread pudding but was very stodgy and unappetising. They did by way of apology provide an extra dessert but I didn’t want this and they took some money off the bill. However, it was overpriced and very underwhelming so I would not recommend!

Antoine's rightfully remains one of my staples when I head to New Orleans. Beautiful setting, wonderful food, historic (since 1840). Just a wonderful setting for lunch or dinner.

We were excited, hearing about the history of the restaurant, but were let down. Let’s start with that the service was not good… we were not even greeted for several minutes and not until the next table was sat and greeted. The food was good but nothing to write home about. I felt we could have received equally as good of food for less money elsewhere. Then, the servers forgot one of our side altogether. When we asked them to remove there charge from our bill, they charged us the whole price and just brought us out a “free” dessert that we didn’t want. Don’t think I’ll recommend this stop unfortunately

Lunch took two hours because the food took a long time to come out between courses. This is not our usual experience at Antoine's, which is usually efficient, but this day was unusually slow.

Overall great restaurant! Food was good quality lead waiter was knowledgeable but treated us as if we were not worthy. Support server was very helpful and attentive not because he had to but because how lead server was less than attentive to our table. We waited 35 min between appetizer and main course. Main course was luke warm (fish and pork dishes are not served best at room temperature) had to ask for dessert to go as we were already seated for lunch at 2 hours. Treat the front of house as you do the back red rooms. You never know who you are serving.

Jazz brunch. Band was great. They do travel through the many rooms so you only hear them some of the time. Right by the kitchen so more often heard squeaky doors constantly opening and closing. Food was good, not great.Service impeccable.

The place is a good romantic dinner place. It’s a little overpriced. There was lots of great services going on, waitress and waiters having lots of conservation and dotting on their tables but unfortunately we didn’t get that. Oysters were yummy.

We had the best birthday dinner at Antoines, excellent service, delicious food, loved the history and sitting in the queens room. Kiki and Bryant took the best care of us. The baked alaska birthday dessert was so great and we are obsessed with the baked oysters. We will definitely be coming back.

Antoine's was terrible. Our family of four reserved the "only table available" on a Friday evening, which was at 5:00 PM. When we arrived at 5:00 we were the only table seated for several minutes. By 6:00 about half of the tables had been seated. The lights were bright and no music. At about 5:20 the lights were dimmed so low we couldn't see, and the music was turned way up. A few minutes later the lights and music were adjusted again. It was as if the staff was battling over the lights and music. ALL of the food was terrible. I'm a foody, and we eat out a lot. Very poor quality and taste. My Pompano Pontchartrain was cold and dry. The two asparagas spears were not cooked. The cold stale bread is served in a napkin. We had "Antoine's Chilled Seafood Duo" - the shrimp were overcooked and rubbery and the crabmeat was full of shells. My daughter had the filet that was fatty and chewy. Seriously, NOTHING was good. Go anywhere else!

We went here for lunch, and the bottomless sparkling wine and mimosas. The service was fantastic, felt like we had 2 personal staff members attending us. Of course, had to try the oyster Rockefeller, since the recipe originated here, got the sampler, the charbroiled beat out the others. The 3 course fall menu is an excellent value at $22, as is the bottomless beverage options, I would recommend Antoins just for that. The food was good...it was just missing that extra something, some sauce to take it to that next level. So, I would recommend a visit to Antoine if your in new orleans, the place has history, decent food, great service, and, if you take advantage of the bottomless beverage and 22 dollar 3 course meal, you'll leave nicely buzzed and quite full.

The staff was friendly, although the vibe was not fine dining. We started with Antoine’s Salad, which was very good. The creamy goat cheese paired nicely with the tang of the vinaigrette. For our main course we had the Shrimp Creole and the Filet Marchand de Vin. Unfortunately, both dishes were bland. The shrimp was over-cooked and somehow the filet tasted like bland pot roast. We had the baked Alaska for dessert. The presentation was great, but the flavors were nothing special. It is basic pound cake and vanilla ice cream with torched meringue. I wish they had done something creative with the flavors.
