All my life heard about this place bit had never been. So on my birthday weekend two other couples and we went to their Sunday Brunch. Our waiter was Ace and Antoines lived up to all the hype. Meal was excellent and the Baked Alaskan was to die for. Highly recommend Antoines.
A little fancier than we thought but the food was amazing and the service was great! We got the 3 course brunch special and would highly recommend, especially the crab and corn bisque
Everything was fantastic! The shrimp creole was delicious and the bread pudding was perhaps the tastiest thing I have ever eaten!!!
GREAT PLACE. STEAK WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION. NO STEAK KNIFE NEEDED!
This was our first time to Antoine's, and will not be our last. It was a memorable evening spent with my best friend!
Great service!! Great place to visit when in New Orleans.
Soggy pommes soufflé ,crab ravigout seemed unfresh, andouille sausage overpowered by creole sauce...
Food underwhelming in general
Service seemed off, maybe COVID?
I won’t be back
The service was top notch! I cannot say enough positive things about the three young men tending to our table. The food, however, was disappointing and not at all what it was a year ago. Oysters Rockefeller was gross. Pompano Pontchartrain was barely warm when it was delivered to the table. Shrimp creole looked more like a marinara. Next time we will visit the bar and have dinner elsewhere.
We went to Antoine's for my birthday while traveling to New Orleans. We started out with the souffle potatoes with Bernaise Sauce, Then a sausage dish with three cheeses, and Oyster Rockefeller which they invented. Next it was a wedge salad and Pampano Chartrain. Everything was super delicious. Our waiter, Winchester, and bus boy were delightful.
This is my first review although I have used Open Table for many years for reservations and input from other restaurant guests. My party of 3 had a wonderful lunch this past Friday. Admittedly, it can be somewhat difficult getting into the French Quarter as a local, however it was not challenging at all. We were greeted and escorted to our table immediately. There was a nice lunch crowd, but because the restaurant has such grand space, I felt comfortable with the distancing. Our waiter was warm and welcoming. He understood that we were not tourists and that we were there for a nice meal. Our appetizers and main dishes were all very flavorful and came out of the kitchen in good order. Honestly, myself and my colleagues came in with a critical mind to test how things would be with the pandemic and were not disappointed whatsoever. I only have a small understanding how difficult it is to own and operate a restaurant these days and appreciate Antoine's delivering a fabulous experience. I mainly dine uptown, but in an effort to support establishments that have battled through world wars, natural disasters, the great depression and another pandemic, I will make it a point to give them more business. I am puzzled at some of the other 1-3 star reviews, but don't take that much stock in them reading the critical reviews those individuals tend to leave wherever they dine. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
I highly recommend it!
Great service, delicious classic entrees. Great atmosphere. Antoine’s slays. Those who appreciate fine dining will always be happy here.
By far the best restaurant experience in New Orleans! The food, the service, & the overall experience was as always phenomenal!
Amazing lunch special. The place chargrilled oysters were invented/. Historic and beautiful venue - like a museum. Good ole fashioned service
Sunday brunch was amazing. Austin is a top notch server.
Brought some college students from Alabama here on a church day trip to NOLA. It was a perfect ending to our day. Excellent food and service. It was a trip the students will never forget.
We had a fabulous time celebrating my son’s birthday. The service was excellent. Lots of friendly faces and they even gave my son a gift!!! We met Mr. Sterling Constant, he’s worked there for over 50 years!! I loved his history and charm!!
We always enjoy our dining experience here and this time was no exception. The staff is welcoming and helpful and entrees are done to perfection.
Fantastic dining experience! The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. A true New Orleans experience. The pompano dip was really good. Everyone enjoyed their food.
The chicken and bacon salad is below in the picture. ❤️🎉
For true old world charm, you can do no better than Antoine's! The staff are beyond gracious and the food is truly the best you will find in beautiful New Orleans. Whatever you do, do not skip the bread pudding and ask for Ace to be your waiter.
Absolutely amazing experience! So much history! Great food and service! Well worth every penny.
Perfect! Excellent food served with class, friendliness and humor. This restaurant is always a great choice.
Absolute perfection! Waiters were fantastic! Oysters Bienville were superb as was the Turtle Soup
It was all amazing!!! Loved every minute of it! We didn’t want to leave!!!
Food was excellent! We enjoyed our mesl
Everything was terrific, from the food to the service. We had two different waiters both were excellent, I’m so happy I made the reservation ahead of time, definitely worth it.
The food was great, the service was on point. It was everything I expected it to be, can’t wait to go back.
The food was fabulous
Sterling was so fun and accommodating
Great value for Sunday Brunch
We had a good dinner with a better wine. We will do it again.
I learned about the “Coolinary Specials” restaurants offer occasionally on WGNO Friday night news. The Chef Fletcher Lee with Antoine’s reported the three course meals options. The Starter and Entre dishes turned out delicious!
I was disappointed that the single serving Baked Alaskan Crab was not on the Coolinary Menu like Fletcher Lee reported on the news. I ended up with bread pudding that was tasty.
I was also surprised the waiters knew nothing of the “Coolinary Speical” term. They all went blank when I asked about it. They understood it as their $20.20 lunch special. I got schooled.
Nice place and everyone was pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant and will go back.
Austin Murray was our waiter with over 40 years service and he was absolutely delightful! We spoke about past experiences and employees who have worked there, and he even had chef “Skeeter” come out and greet us! Every time we have dined at Antoine’s, it has been a memorable experience! It is a beautiful family owned restaurant well into the 6th or 7th generation!
The service was over the top!
The historic nature of the restaurant makes it even more special and the photos on the wall are great.
My fiance and I enjoyed this place so much that it will now be the first place we stop every time we visit the city.
I truly felt and ate like royalty.
We’ve eaten at Antoines many times, but find the luncheon meals to be hit or miss. There were two choices of entrees on the three course $20.20 lunch today...fried chicken with two sides or veal medallions over grits. Both were what we’d expect were we eating at a cafeteria for less than $10.00.
The veal was dry and chewy and while the chicken had better flavor, was served with over-peppered greens and sticky, thick mac and cheese. The oyster appetizers were good, though small, and the desert bread pudding was overly dense.
Neither of us felt like we’d had a good meal. I do have to mention that the service was prompt and attentive, so good for the service staff this time.
With so many great places to eat in New Orleans, it will be awhile before we give them another try.
Reservations were made back in May for Nov 2nd with many others. Some were canceled due to Zeta but every other restaurant that was not to be open called to let us know they were unable to fulfill the reservation. I called multiple times through out the day to verify the reservation with no answer, though the website said they were open and there were no other updates given. Arrived for our reservation to a closed restaurant and no signage or notifications. Wasted the $60 round trip cost of the Uber.
Great food! Enjoyed our time. The wine pairing with the coolinary menu was fantastic!
Amazing food and staff. Definitely a memorable place to go for a anniversary, birthday, or just because you are in NOLA
Although it was a Saturday evening and we didn’t have a reservation the host was very gracious and found us a table. The servers were attentive and the food came appropriately timed between courses. Our meal was delicious and enjoyable.
Antoine's remains one of the finest restaurants in the South, and has adapted to social distancing very well. I didn't understand at first that the Hermes Bar had been turned into a dining venue rather than a bar, but the friendly staff soon helped me overcome my embarrassment. Our waiter promptly started us out with drink orders and some of Leidenheimer's wonderful bread. I ordered the trout almandine which was marvelous, as was the pompano Ponchatrain my husband enjoyed. He always insists on getting the baked Alaska for dessert which never fails to delight. We plan to return soon!
