Great Jazz brunch! Perfectly prepared food, top-notch wait staff, and a charming jazz trio. We particularly appreciated the tour of the other dining rooms that our waiter gave to us when we were leaving. So much history and so much character in this charmer of a restaurant. Treasure every moment in places like this!

Fantastic dining experience. Deep New Orleans History here in this restaurant within the setting of a museum, thanks to it's 180+ years of operation. Our server Latesha was excellent. Antoine's prepared Oysters Foch, one of our favorites, by online special request.

I have eaten at Antoines for over 60 years each time I go to NOLA. My grand parents and parents went there as well. I had not been in many years. I was surprised that the elegance was no longer there. It was always a special place. The waiter did not seat the women. Napkins were not put in our laps. We got a piece of bread and no bread plates. Customers came in jeans. The waiter was very rude to the two in our party that were gluten free. The duck my husband got was really over cooked. They did credit some on our bill. Our meals were very good however.

Overall it was fine. Nothing was bad, but nothing really blew us away either. The green salad was probably the best. Service was lovely and attentive. I appreciate that the waiter recommended we do a tasting of all the different types of oysters. We were set on Oysters Rockefeller as they were apparently invented here, but glad we got to try the other types as we ended up preferring the others more. I did enjoy the tomatoes cranberry sauce that accompanied my fish. The chocolate mousse was pretty standard. Cute holiday themed decorations on it. The night was topped off by seeing a mouse scurrying around the dinning room as we were getting ready to pay our bill. It’s a very old and historic area/city so I can understand if this is hard to control (I live in a historic building in NYC so I get it), but I think other guests might be less understanding.

Go for the legend, not the food. Dishes were indifferently prepared and several were served cold, including a gumbo and a duck main, and were sent back. The duck dish was returned hot...but the sweet potato cubes were now dried rubber erasers. Salad was drenched in very ordinary, goopy dressing, and not properly tossed to distribute it. On the whole, the food was ordinary at best. It's an icon, which is why people go. There are far better places to eat.

We were underwhelmed. Given the reputation of the restaurant we were looking for a fine dining experience and did not have one. Lobster bisque was quite good but lukewarm at best. Rest of meal the same. Dining partner summed up describing food as banquet food. How does a medium well steak come out ten minutes after ordering, medium well done but also lukewarm? Hard to believe this was cooked to order. Too much excellent competition in New Orleans. Antoine’s needs to do better.

The famous oysters Rockefeller was cold with an awful “off taste”. Truly terrible. The rest of the meal was tasteless and not at all well presented. The waiter tried to get many thing ordered “for the table” more quantity than we wanted or needed! The room was so noisy we could not speak. It was expensive and a terrible experience.

Service was wonderful, and the food fantastic. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for food or value is that the Antoine’s signature dessert, Baked Alaska, which was not cheap, was made with Sarah Lee pound cake —not homemade —as per server’s own admission. And it did not taste fresh, moreover. The ‘hot fudge sauce’ tasted like chocolate syrup from a can. Left a bad last impression to have that skimping for dessert. Otherwise everything was terrific.

Service was great, but the food was cold, the English muffin or whatever it was that my eggs Benedict was on was almost impossible to cut, we heard three songs before the jazz trio left for the other room and never came back. Awful value and I wouldn’t go back or ever recommend this place to anyone.

A very disappointing experience. No dress code enforced; I was taking my daughter out for a fancy brunch and dressed up as "required" yet in walked several families in shorts and short sleeved t-shirts. The waiter was ok but never came back to check on us but once the entire time and it was not very busy. Our food was COLD! and bland and tasteless. No spices, no salt or pepper on the table and, as I mentioned no waiter to have the food warmed up. Over hyped and ruined what should have been a fun Dad/Daughter time. I'll never be back and will not recommend this place.

My wife and I went to Antoine's just to have a special brunch. There was no special occasion, but the staff certainly made it feel like a special occasion! Our waiters, Alvin and Terrell, could not have been more friendly and helpful. We enjoyed immensely talking with them about the history of Antoine's, as well as our selection of appetizers and entrees. We were seated early at 11 AM, and the restaurant was only lightly attended. By about 12:30 when we left, however, the dining room was much more full. Even then, though, my wife and I could enjoy a private conversation without having to raise our voices. The service was top notch, the food was excellent, the price was reasonable, and we will definitely be back!

Had not been in years, so nice to visit again for dinner. Seated in the front room which was too well lit for my preferences. Otherwise food was delicious and service as good as expected. My opinion is that they could up their game on the dinner menu to be more contemporary while keeping what they’re known for historically.

Disappointed in food quality. It was not horrible, but just average. I had fish, and it was slightly overcooked and not seasoned. My wife had Osso Bucca and it too, was overcooked and a little dry. Service was excellent and the dessert was delicious. But the food just did not meet what I thought Antoine’s would serve.

The food was OK but not much more. The gumbo was good but nothing to write home about. Ditto for the bread pudding. And ditto again for the beef short rib. The best item was the pompano. It was a 5 star dish but even so it hardly balanced the meh other items. The service was too stiff; it would be much nicer if the servers would actually talk for a sentence or two. The entire LARGE room we were in had pictures of famous (and semi-famous) people who had dined at Antoine's. This was cool, even though many of them were stars (or semi-stars) from the 1930s who are not recognizable today. But it is clear that Antoine's is surviving on its reputation from the past. In today's world, it is not worth the expense.

Celebration for my daughter’s 30th and parents anniversary. Tried the REAL Oyster Rockefeller along with both of their other options, all superb! My son is an escargot enthusiast and said the best he’s ever had. With 8 people we were able to taste most of the entrees, all wonderful! Region kept the guys Sazeracs coming and our wine chiller full. Baked Alaska was ordered when the reservation was made and arrived timely. Loved every minute of the experience.

So many problems with our meal - Not offered an aperitif. Straight into food. Two of 3 starters arrived, dumped at our sides. Had to ask what had happened to third. Arrived when first 2 were eaten. Main courses arrived in a nano second after third starter finished. One main course returned as mash cold and inedible. Returned only slightly warmer. Butter left on table but we had to ask for bread - again dumped on our side in a paper bag to share. Two desserts ordered under the "meal deal" - again, dumped as a side plate. Did not ask for bill as would have liked coffee but instead the wrong bill was plonked on our table. We were SO disappointed with the whole package we refused to pay for any service. We called over a waiter to explain but he just ignored us so we paid the food and wine bill and left. The whole 3 course meal was served and cleared to 4 people in less than one hour which amounted to $300. Disgusted.
