We reserved a table here for an early dinner on a whim, best decision ever! The ambiance was amazing, bumping music. Super cute decor. The servers were very attentive asking how things were every so often and refilling our waters without us asking. The bread that came with the hummus app - so perfectly crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Highly recommend!
Good time little pricey great service
While the food is still as good as before, the seating in the outdoor/street structure has no social distancing set up at all. Space is clamped. Our waiter left his shift in the middle of serving our table. Not the best experience we have at this place. Likely won't go back until when things become more normal again.
The ambiance is nice, the service was great and it's a good location. However that's about where it ends because we were not impressed by the food. Everything we had was just okay and seemed pretty overpriced for what it was. I would go back here for drinks and maybe an app but not for dinner.
The thing that saves antique garage from a 4 is that their service was great. Our server was so nice and accommodating. The food was good, drinks were also good but definitely pricey. The vibe was awesome, this is probably one of the more unique restaurants in soho. Biggest issue was my vegetarian friend actually chose this restaurant based off their menus available on their website, when we got there, none of it was available. So the kitchen was nice enough to make her the seafood pasta dish - sans the seafood. Please update your menus on your website so people with food restrictions know what to expect!
Cute decor, Turkish/Mediterranean oriented menu with Spanish music in the background. Very cute and eclectic. Good service and food, although a bit on the pricey side especially for similar fare elsewhere. Enjoyed the ambiance.
The food was delicious. The only thing is that I ordered a kabob. It just came with a jalapeno pepper and some shredded slaw. A little starch, like rice or Bulgar would have been good
The food was all excellent. Highly recommend if you enjoy Greek food.
My friends and I had a birthday dinner here this past weekend (4/17). We were happy to be seated inside, as it was a little chilly outside. The noise level was pretty high, it was hard to even hear the conversation at the table, at times.
The restaurant has great ambiance, it's in a really cool space. The food was excellent as well. My only critique is that the waiter misheard my friends order and was rather rude when we explained to him that the order was incorrect. It does get noisy, so it's understandable to make a mistake.
I just would hope that a party of 4 spending over $600 on dinner (and 2 bottles of wine) would be afforded the benefit of the doubt when we explained something came out incorrectly. Ultimately, they made things right but it gave me enough pause to write this review.
The seared tuna, and seafood pasta were fantastic entrées. The mixed meze platter is a perfect appetizer.
I would certainly return, but I would expect the service to be better.
Great environment for catching up over a meal. Service and food were great. Lots of space and good adherence to covid protocols.
Hostess was super rude and condescending! Not helpful at all. Wouldn’t go back.
The food and the waiter were good. The ambiance was fun. Our night at Antique Garage got ruined by a very rude hostess that kept wanting us to leave for some odd reason. She would stare at our table and roll her eyes. Just completely odd. Anyway, the treatment of the hostess ended ruining our night. Was not a good experience.
My first restaurant after lockdown.
Was great experience
The food was quite good and the staff were friendly. However, the volume and style of music was way too loud and distracting for a Sunday morning brunch with friends who want to catch up, especially during COVID isolation. Turn the music down and save the disco beats for another venue!
We had a lovely lunch on the sidewalk in the sun. My only criticism is that they are using disposable plastic cutlery which is completely unnecessary and such a waste of resources. I hate to think how many they are throwing away every day.
Great food drinks and service highly recommended
I rarely, if ever, write negative reviews. In this case, I'm going to make an exception.
I was incredibly disappointed with the service! The waiter badly sequenced our food. Desert came out with the check after repeated requests for the desert to be delivered (it seemed to have been lost in the kitchen).
The people at the next table had a similar issue. Their salmon entree served while they were less than a third through their mezze appetizer. The waiter brought it back into the kitchen after they refused the entree. The later presented the same fish 30 minutes later (not in great shape). They accepted the fish and then talked about what happened with our earshot.
Additionally, we were served shared appetizers without plates or forks for us and our two guests.
Had the waiter said "We are understaffed" or "I apologize", but he seemed completely unconcerned about our reaction to the service.
To be fair, the restaurant is beautiful and I've eaten at Gourmet Garage in the past and had a good experience. However, this time was a bomb, and I had to apologize to my guests for the poor restaurant service.
It could have just been a bad day, but it's hard to imagine a SoHo restaurant surviving with this type of service!
Nice spot on Mercer and food was good but over-priced
We came without reservation and were accommodated promptly. We could even charge the phones. The staff was really nice and helpful. The drinks came on time and were very tasty. So recommend for a nice brunch 👍🏻
So good! was so cool looking and very open. felt comfortable eating there even during pandemic. drinks were so good, food was so good...
Great food and great service! Cool atmosphere
My daughter and I visit this restaurant whenever in NYC, about once a month.
Very professional wait staff, delicious food, and this place makes the best vodka martini!
Antique Garage is a great local spot for my husband and I - we always love dropping in on a random weeknight and it never disappoints, though I think the prices have gone up a bit.. cocktails are now $20 :/ Not a price I like to pay outside of a true cocktail bar but thankfully there are good wine & beer options. The staff is always super friendly here as well and there is always a great vibe & music playing.
Great outdoor space, amazing food and perfect as usual. Highly recommended!
Staff not friendly and asked us to leave after 1 hour
Service was LOVELY! Really. Concerns about COVID-19 - tables were only about 3 feet apart :/. Full disclosure all we got was a beer, hot toddy, and hummus. Beer, of course overpriced but such is ny. Hummus eh, pretty good I guess. Hot toddy was niiiiice.
for being so expensive, the food, drinks, ambience and service were just average.
I’d call it antique garbage!! From the rudest manager/owner who wouldn’t accept the fact that their calamari was inedible to the hour long of bad service. Mask less owner refused to put on a mask and literally was spitting in our faces. We eventually had to get up and leave.super spreader of a place
The owner is a hustler , while waiting 20 minutes after our reservation time to get seated we finally sat and for 20 minutes no one took our order or offered a glass of water .
When I finally got his attention and ordered drinks it took another 10 minutes to get the drinks before evening getting the drinks he demanded we order food ... I was in the mood for something lite so asked for watermelon salad and baklava sparkling water and tequila he demanded I get a main dish as well since it is a fine dining restaurant - NOTHING about that place was even close to fine dining the only staff was him and a few bus boys they were barely wearing masks and no gloves but he insisted and I was on a first date so I had to accept his bs - I believe in supporting local small businesses and restaurants- but I do not like when they take advantage of the situation and force you to order more than you were ready to ...
Expensive but really good food!
Love the ambiance of this location and the food was amazing! Outdoor dining was superb :)
We found this restaurant at the last moment on a Saturday night and grabbed the last reservation and we were so lucky that we did. The place is wide open with heaters and a covered patio on the sidewalk.
We enjoyed a beautiful martini in a stunning crystal glass. The fennel salad was fresh, the avocado provided a nice contrast to the crunch of the fennel, it was dressed just so, no sogginess anywhere.
The Bronzino and lamb were truly excellent, and the vegetables perfectly sautéed.
The chocolate desert was heavenly and after coffee we left happy and a bit merry, so glad to have had this amazing meal and experience.
I'm sad to say that you should look for other options before you make a rez here.
Great food, cocktails, ambience. Highly recommend!
The place is charming and the cocktails are a knock out. Jose the server is an absolute sweetheart. They are doing the right thing with no enclosures on the outside but it is really cold if doing outdoor dining. Perfectly fine but be prepared as there is no barrier to wind at all.
The food is lovely- recommend it highly.
Applaud the efforts to serve a delicious meal on a cold January afternoon. Food, service and heaters were excellent!
We love this place! Always really good food and service. Hope to come back when the kiva jazz resumes.
We came in during Christmas day, and we were just thankful to be able to find an open restaurant. We did have to sit outside because of COVID restrictions, but the staff helped as much as they could to keep us warm. The inside looked so cozy, but we still enjoyed the ambience of SOHO while dining. Food was great and came in good sized portions, and our waiter was very attentive. We had a great experience.
WONDERFUL!! ( as usual). Had brunch last Saturday (12th).. excellent service and food impeccable! Jose terrific server. Looking forward to New Year!( dined previous night at Tribeca location and SAME experience).. “ Noe” wonderful and attentive! THANK YOU AGAIN!! darren f piechota m. d.
