Antique Garage Soho
The Antique Garage was an awesome restaurant to go to on a Saturday night with friends. The dimly lit restaurant set the tone for good conversation. The food was delicious, and there were many options for my GF-intolerant partner. I would definitely come back here!
It really was the perfect first date place. Lovely service, amazing food and drinks. Would absolutely go back here!
My sister and I LOVED this restaurant!!! A gem tucked into an old garage with seating that spills out onto the sidewalk on a quaint SOHO cobblestone street. Food was amazing; a little outside the realm of typical mediterranean fare, but really delicious! There was a jazz pianist to boot which truly topped the whole evening off! Will definitely recommend and go back myself...:))
Outstanding. Staff went out of their way in every respect. Everyone’s dinner was met with praise. Wine list was good even though on the smaller side. Wonderful vibe throughout the evening. Really fun place.
- Tables are set too close so cannot have a comfortable private conversation. To be fair, it's too loud to talk anyway
- I did not enjoy my small salad, or other dishes but and ended up paying 200+ for 2 people. Not sure how that happened
- so not ideal for a date. Perhaps for everyday dining
Went to Antique Garage while in New York with a girlfriend. We went for lunch on a Friday and had a reservation for 12:30. Host was friendly and since the restaurant wasn’t crowded yet he let us pretty much choose our table. Our waiter was so kind and helpful with the menu. We ordered 2 glasses of rose’ and hummus to start. Our waiter could tell we weren’t in the mood for anything too heavy and recommended the special watermelon salad and he pointed out some of his favorites from the menu. We ended up splitting the salad and we shared zucchini rolls which were delicious. The atmosphere and vibe were super cool-we could’ve sat there all afternoon! Lovely lunch in Soho.
Service was a bit slow but the food was good
The staff is pleasant, the ambiance is ecletic and cute however the food is massively overpriced for the quality. I ordered the lamb kabob with vegetables, $34, and the meat was sinewy, bland and unevenly cooked. Service is not great, I didn't see my waiter again after we ordered. I would never recommend this restaurant for cuisine. Have a cocktail and go for the lounge singer they had performing if that's your thing.
Lively environment, delicious food with many gluten-free friendly options.
Friends recommended this place to us as somewhere to listen to Jazz and have amazing food. They were right. If we lived in New York, we would return over and over again.
Nice place to spend a lively evening with friends. Great service, average food.
Great food with solid service in.a relaxed and French bistro setting.
I love Antique Garage's decor and food. The service is friendly. The Soho location is so noisy that it's hard to hear the lovely jazz piano or hold a conversation. I prefer the Tribeca location to listen to music and chat with my dinner partner.
Didn’t get our order right in any degree and made us feel like we did something wrong
Made up for it slightly w a free tray of desserts but still just ...nah
Live piano on the weekends, great food & a beautiful place!
Worth going nights with live jazz
Happy place :) Best in Soho
I’ve been to Antique Garage many times for dinner and lunch but hadn’t been in a while. The food is consistently fresh and delicious and I will be returning much more frequently. The atmosphere is charming as always.
Wonderful food. Fabulous service.
The space was great in being able to accommodate a large party, but service was not very quick. Some of the food was delicious, and some came out undercooked.
The decor is amazing, but the service is terrible - waiters were seemed inconvenienced when asked for basic things, didn’t know the menu, and appeared uninterested in our table once we said we weren’t going to be drinking. The menu is average price for Soho, but quality and portions were not worth the price.
Really great ambience in a very interesting and characterful building. The service from all staff was excellent - nothing was too much trouble and they dealt with my daughter's nut allergy really professionally. The food was very good but since the food portions were moderate, it reduced the value for money rating a bit. Overall great though, highly recommended.
I ordered seafood and spinach as side. It was so salty and spicy. When the waiter came and asked me how was the food, I answered it was a bit too salty for me. He gave me a weird look, shrugged and left.
Great date spot. Intimate, not too casual or formal, live music, strong drinks, and delicious. Most importantly, perfect dim lighting & indoor/ outdoor space (terrific on a warm night).
Friends were in town. Beautiful ambiance, fun music on the piano. Very pleasant and accommodating
Where do I begin?
They were inattentive to us from the start and didn’t take our lunch drink order for 25-30 minutes. Finally brought our bottle of wine 40 minutes in.
Forgot to place our appetizer order. Forgot to place our second course order. They both came out post our lunch entree. Ceviche was warm and oily... do not recommend.
Brought our chicken skewers instead of the salmon skewers we ordered - then charged us for both.
Highly overrated, do not recommend.
Wonderful evening for me and my husband. This is a delicious restaurant with tapas and jazz concert.
We ate lunch and dinner there during our most recent visit to NYC. Loved the open air seating and the food, ranging from the beet salad to the flat bread to the various lamb dishes, were all excellent. Live jazz during dinner was an added treat.
Have live music every night! It was so great - can’t wait to go back!
Love the food and ambiance but it gets really loud, hard to have conversation with friends. Live music is fine but sometimes it gets too much and loud.
We found the restaurant in a few top restaurant sources online, and probably had too high of expectations. Nothing about the experience was bad, but for an average meal the price was steep.
Very Nice brunch with a piano player
Libanese inspiration with salad and chicken skews
The mezze platters looked very good
Try the baklava dessert!
Sehr schönes familiäres Lokal mut guter frischer Küche
Cozy spot. Great experience. Excellent service. Unique menu.
Really fun place. Third time I've been, and great every time. Live music. Awesome menu.
We celebrated a 50th BD here this past Saturday. The staff bent over backwards to accomodate us and our requests. The food was awesome, we choose to share a bunch of stuff. The jazz was great, she sang BD to the BD girl. Our waitress was incredible! Truly a great experience.
Discovered that this is more of a tourist trap. The food was mediocre and way overpriced. Went for brunch and the egg dishes were not good—scrambled eggs were runny and tasteless. Better to stick with the lunch/dinner entrees. Overall, would not recommend this restaurant.
Very eclectic atmosphere. Staff never missed a service opportunity and was gracious, attentive without hovering. Definitely a return visit
Nice place , original, welcome and services are efficient
