   The wait was long even though we had a reservation. The food was meh. Not for the price we paid and the waitress offered us free dessert because of the wait but then we ended up having to pay for it anyway. I’ve had better service there. They’ve since gone downhill. They said they had an issue in the kitchen. Not sure what that was about. Also, when it say MP for the cost of a meal. Be careful, it was $50 for just one dish. And it wasn’t even that good.

   The restaurant has a very nice decor and the staff were very attentive. After we made the reservation two weeks ago, we went to their website to look at the menu so we know what to expect. Unfortunately there were two items that we have selected from the menu in their website that were not offered when we visited last night. So first of, I think that they should make sure that their website is updated especially for what is offered at the restaurant. We ordered the antipasto caldo which is a mix of different fried seafood and vegetables and it was good. We also ordered the lasagna and it was very tasty. And tiramisu for dessert. Their complimentary birthday dessert was a canoli but we told them I'm fine with our shared tiramisu which was good. We had a couple of craft drinks and my husband ask for a swizzle stick and they didn't have any.

   Our waiter Claudio was wonderful, food was delicious. It's pricey but good authentic italian food. I would eat there again.

   The ambiance was great upon entering. But it all went downhill from there. Our waitress was too busy, it took forever to order drinks, then equally as long to order dinner. Ultimately our food was cold, and truthfully bland. It is a great atmosphere but the food quality is not great. The prices are way over done too. Hard to get out of here for less than $50 per person if you have wine, appetizers, salad, and entree. It is the same at their other location called Sicilia Mia. I would not recommend this place.

   An absolutely wonderful dinner and evening out! So many delectable choices even for a Lenten Friday :) The only small negative is I wish the waiter had told us the price for the special appetizer (ouch, very high). Regardless, it was delicioso! We also wished the restaurant had live music rather than taped and piped overhead.

    Restaurant is listed on Open Table as $$, which is flat out wrong. The first thing they do is tell you most people order five course and nudge you in that direction. Steak alone costs $60. They were out of chicken and salmon, leaving very few lighter protein options. This may be the first time an Italian restaurant refused to grill me a piece of salmon or swordfish (they weren't being nasty, just unprepared). By the way, we ate an early dinner, so they were out even before the dinner rush.

    Horrible service. The food was completely over priced and tasted disgusting. I would not go here. I would recommend noodles instead. That’s how bad it was. We ordered the sampler, and the veal. Not one thing on the sampler was good. The veal was pounded so thin and was mostly bread and grease.

    We’ve been here quite a few times over the years, and Antica Sicilia has seriously upped their game. It’s a lot fancier inside,, and the service and food were incredible. We had the Arancinette Alla Carne as an appetizer. Loved it so much we ordered a second plate. Then we had the Signature Carbonara. This is the best carbonara you will eat in Utah. From the first bite to the last, amazing. Only downside is the portion is kind of small. We finished off with a lemon cheesecake and tiramisu, and both were amazing. Again, I have to say how awesome the service was. Thanks for a great birthday meal (and song), Antica! Can’t wait to go back!

    Sometimes hype can hurt an experience. $150 a person for dinner at "best of state Italian" dinner spot leaves one with the expectation that one will have the best Italian dinner in the state worth $300 for a date. Our experience did not match expectations (or hype). Food was fair to good. Service was fine, not great. Ambiance was a bit unusual--which is fine if it is still elegant but it was not.

    I cannot say enough about the staff, ownership and the experience my date and I shared. The sever from New York went above and beyond our expectations. I have been in this industry for thirty years and wish he worked for me. He made our special night an unforgettable one. Our reservation was at 6:15 which we were late showing up for in which we called to let them know. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we ended up dining until 9:00 pm without anyone asking us finish for other reservations to be seated. Thank you for the incredible tasting entress, wine and friendly atmosphere. I'll defiantly be back with all my family and friends. Best regrades, Wendy Robison

    Food was excellent. Menu is very good. Chef was very friendly and attentive. Servers are superb. Not only they take care of their assigned tables, they also look after the other tables If they see you drop your spoon or needs anything. Reflects greatly to the chef/owner because he himself is very customer oriented. We really enjoyed our dinner last night and definitely coming back to this place.

    We used to love this restaurant but the last few times we have been it has been disappointing. The food was good but expensive. We asked for more bread, it never came. We were served the wrong dessert. We left wondering if we will go back.

    The restaurant was not in a great location and can be deceiving but after you sit down, the experience of the best service I’ve had since Club 33 at Disneyland Anaheim. The server Carmela from Peru. She had such an Italian accent, I thought she was from Italy, but no, it was Peru. She was pleasant, cordial, well mannered, friendly and cheerful attitude. She always seemed to care how we were doing yet catered to all the other guest. It is a busy place. My water cup was always full, where do you see that, and the water tasted like they could sell it. So good. The food, I can’t remember but was a pasta starting with an A, so good, never ever have I tasted such good pasta and sauce. My wife had the chicken with dried tomatoes and like a salad on top. Perfecto. The deserts were made by the mother of the owner, magnificent. Music was perfect as well. I will go back and take my friends. This restaurant should be on you top three restaurants to visit, for the Italian food to visit in the whole Utah Valley. I moved here from California and the pasta would rival many San Francisco Bay Area Italian Restaurants.

    Special occasion dinner for eight adults and one child. Ambience and service were stellar. Even the trainee working with our server was delightful. Food is beautifully presented on elegant china and glassware with fine table linens and upholstered seating. Food is expensive, with the pasta dishes being the most authentically European. Table-side preparation of the carbonera and ribeye steak are well done; but beware that the bill, with gratuity was $900.00!

    I thought Utah didn’t have food Italian restaurants? Well I was blown away by Antica Sicilia, as that was the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. New York, Chicago, San Francisco have nothing on this place. Giuseppe is a most generous host and provides unparalleled hospitality from the moment you walk through the front doors. The ambiance is warming and comfortable, and all of the waiters and chefs give off the coolest vibes. The feeling is 100% Sicily with many international influences throughout the rich and impressive menu I haven’t seen since Rome. The carbonara was delectable, the tortellini fantastic, the bruschetta was heavenly, and the bone-in ribeye with chimichuri sauce on another level. The appetizer of caprese was mouth watering and the calamari was a hit, as it came with both a white and a red sauce. The service could not have been more attentive and charming than what we experienced, as we were guided to the order the perfect dishes to tantalize and overwhelm the demanding and sophisticated palates of each person there. After all of those tasty dinner flavors, the desserts followed up and did not disappoint. Half the table ordered tiramisu, which was the best they ever had, but the cappuccino mouse was the most liked dessert at the table. All I can say is that cappuccino mouse was the best dessert I think I have ever tasted. Make reservations in advanced… like 10 days prior to your desired time if going on the weekend, as every table will be filled. This will be that authentic “Italian” restaurant that you have been looking for, not the Olive Garden level of Italian that seems so prominent. Nothing wrong with Olive Garden, but this is high level 5 star restaurant straight out of Tropea or Positano. Giuseppe has created that authentic Sicilian experience, right here in Salt Lake City and you will be impressed!

    My husband and I tried Antica Sicilia for the first time last night and loved it. It’s definitely a place to go for special occasions as it can get pricey but it’s so worth it. We had a meatball appetizer that was not on the menu then I had the rigatoni Norma and my husband had lasagna. We also enjoyed the tiramisu for dessert. Everything had great flavor! I liked that the portion size of my pasta was reasonable and not huge. They have a great selection of unique beers, wines and in my case Prosecco! We made reservations and I imagine that is the preferred way to do it as it is a smaller place and definitely gets busy. It’s a unique experience as some of the dishes are made or finished table side like the steak and carbonara. It’s pretty cool to see. Our server Claudio was amazing! He was very passionate about the food and drinks and told us many stories of his hometown in Italy. They had lots of staff and my water glass was never below half-full as someone is always refilling. My husband told the server he loved the dip that came with the bread, a Sun-dried tomato one and he was nice enough to package it up with some bread for us to take home. It’s located in a little strip mall but don’t let that fool you the food really is amazing!

    We really enjoyed our evening at Antica Sicilia. Server was great. Chef and owner stopped by the table more than once. These folks are not short on staff members at all. You'll get plenty of attention and excellent service. Food was excellent as was the wine. We'll be going back, for sure.

    This was our first time to Antica Sicilia, and now it’s one of our favorites. I’ll admit when we pulled into the parking lot of the strip mall we were a little suspicious of how it would go. As soon as we walked in, that all changed. We were quickly greeted and seated. The care and courtesy of the entire staff is what makes this establishment the gem that it is. Our waiter, Claudio went above and beyond to make my wife and I feel special. I can’t say enough positive words to describe how wonderful he was. The table side presentations are fun and the food is amazing. We can’t wait to go back.
