I love Antica Pesa. This is one of the best restaurants in Williamsburg. The food is fantastic. I always get the cacio e pepe and the spaghetti with clams...both are SO good. The service here is fantastic. Multiple people take care of you the whole night. I can't wait to come back.

We had a reservation for 9pm and waited nearly an hour for our table. The staff was slightly apologetic but did almost nothing to speed things up or make our experience better while we waited. Food was good but very overpriced. Would not return.

I've been here several times in the past couple of months, this is my new favorite spot in Williamsburg. I'd eat here even more often but my carb intake would be out of control! The owners/managers are exactly what you want from an Italian restaurant-effusive and very friendly! The food is INCREDIBLE, the wine selection is fantastic, and the waiters are very informed about the menu and the wines. I always want to take a book and just sit on the couch by the fireplace with a glass of red wine!

Really wanted to love...and there were elements that I did. But I thought it was incredibly overpriced with small portions. The pasta was amazing. Props there for sure. But to have such an expensive dinner in Brooklyn? Sorry, the city has better options. Won't go back.

Unbelievably good Roman-inspired cuisine with modern twists. Vibrant, buzzing vibe (not hipster vibe!), attentive and knowledgeable staff, solid cocktail menu, and in colder climes, a roaring fire complete with cozy sofa. We dined here on Easter Sunday evening, and the special menu was sheer delight. And Tia is a treasure!

We made this reservation impromptu after walking by this restaurant on our way home a few times. Inside is beautiful and well designed. I don’t eat meat so my food opinion is off of the vegetarian options....the only app option without meat was a salad which...the yogurt dressing wasn’t well mixed and the overall flavor was fine — standard mixed green insalata experience. I didn’t get a pasta and maybe should have, but tried the fried eggplant instead. It felt burnt...I love the burned cheese effect of an oven baked pasta, but the burn flavor overwhelmed any other flavors. Service wise we had multiple people helping us, and it all seemed very sporadic and not intentional. We tried to get a glass of wine with our meal after finishing cocktails, but after taking our order the wine took so long we had no food to drink it with. My boyfriend got a pasta dish with meat — he really enjoyed it. Also felt meh about the salad and meh about the service. We most likely won’t be back.

To find the real italian cuisine in New York is fantastic and trust me since I'm Roman.
The Kindness and the elegance of the owners and waiters will make you love this place. If you visit New York you can't miss Antica Pesa.

Great place, great authentic Italian food

This was our friend’s final dinner before being deployed to Iraq. Him and his wife were regulars when they lived in Brooklyn, and Antica Pesa is his favorite restaurant. I had noted to bring a dessert with a candle in my reservation notes, and then again when I called to confirm. I was just trying to make his final dinner before leaving special, and was disappointed when the restaurant forgot to bring the special dessert. He’s also friends with one of the managers who also knew he was leaving, so it was even more surprising and disappointing nothing was done to make him feel special. No complaints on the food or service, but small details like remembering to make a regular customer feel special after he chose your restaurant as his last meal before being shipped off to serve go a long way.

It was amazing! They were super friendly and helpful, we were always attended to and didn’t hassle us when we over ordered and asked for a doggy bag. The price range makes it “special date night” rather than casual dining for us, but it was worth every penny.

The fireplace was lovely! Kind of wish we could have sat there longer.

The hostess deserves all the credit in the world. Our party was late arriving and she worked with us and made everything work out. I hope she gets the credit she deserves cause when the next reservation had to wait for their table due to us I’m sure she had issues and handled them like a pro. Forgot her name but she is a star

This is my favorite restaurant in New York. The food is amazing and service impeccable. Always my top recommendation to anyone asking for a place to go.

Went there on a fruend’s recommendation. Was very happy with our special night out. Everyone was absolutely wonderful. Even looked across at next table & saw Jon Voight dining. Will definitely go back when we want to have a special evening !!

The service and food was excellent.

We hadn’t dined here in awhile and decided to go back on Friday night. Now I know why we haven’t gone here more, despite the fact it’s a lovely, warm room, with a great looking menu and a terrific negroni. That’s about where all the good stuff stopped. We ordered two appetizers: calamari and octopus. The calamari, despite a pretentious table pouring of “prosciutto stock” had no flavor and was so chewy it had to be cut into small pieces and doused with salt to make it palatable. The octopus was fine but nothing special. My husband likes fish, and ordered the only fish entree, branzino, with a glass of wine. The smallest pour I’ve ever seen! Two sips and he didn’t have enough wine to go with his main course! I decided not to order a glass after seeing what they brought him. His fish was a tiny piece, also with no flavor. I ordered the pasta with clams—the pasta was delicious, but only 7 small clams on top and that for $32. We skipped dessert and coffee. The bill was $200 and we left hungry. Sorry but we won’t be back.

I love this place. Found it on open table and I keep coming back. The staff is attentive and so friendly. The fireplace gives the restaurant a warm ambience and the decor is modern but simple. I would recommend this place to everyone and already have!

Eh. Drawn in by the decor (it's gorgeous) but a little disappointed on the food, ESPECIALLY disappointed on the service. The Schiaffoni was undercooked -- more dente than al dente. The sauce was salty. For only having 6 tables on a Tuesday night, it felt like we were getting the shaft from our waiters, as their friends were in, or how we looked or dressed or our age. Unsure, but I definitely wont be coming back or recommend anyone. Save your time and money! Lilia or other great Italian restaurants are nearby.

The food is almost as bad as the service. Really disappointing. I've been twice. I was willing to give it a second chance. My mistake. Was just as bad as the first visit. Very average food with horrid service.
