Awesome ambiance!! Intimate romantic. The food was excellent!! The staff was very professional and paid attention to detail. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and they got everything right. They treated us like royalty!!

Staff not prepared to pivot from an indoor reservation after we asked to sit outside. Met with aggressive attitude about changing seating location, which could only be attributed to operating during Covid. Otherwise service during the meal was great, the food was spectacular and management was gracious to us throughout our visit.

The food is great, the servers are attentive.
But the people that go there, at least around us, we’re loud and boring and privileged. If they were just less loud it’d be an ideal spot.

Lovely place, but the food was disappointing. We have been several times and we only go back because it is pleasant to be there. But given the price I don't think we will retrun.

This was my second time at Antica (winter menu) had the gnocchi which honesty I was not impressed. Instead of potatoes, I was told it was filled with rice flour and stock. It was too chewy and didnt settle well in my stomach. When it's not broke why fix it. I was disappointed with my visit.
Thank you for your feedback. As stated on our menu, our gnocchi is not made traditionally with potatoes. Rather, it is made with flour and water so it is a bit harder than the traditional gnocchi. It's important for us to let guests know this so that they do not expect something else, which is why we include this note on our menu. To explain, this is the method and preparation used in our Roman location so we continue it here to maintain our Italian authenticity.
Bar..8 people ordered drinks (4 couples) Bartender put all on one Tab. Only took CC at bar which was ridiculous but 1 person had to pay for bill. Drinks were extremely small for the cost. For a shot of vodka...17.00. Food and atmosphere were very good. Waiters were attentive. Could have come around to give a second piece of bread.. Overall enjoyed the dinner and would come back again.

First of all,if you don’t live in Williamsburg it’s a pain in a neck to get there.Restaurant itself is nice.Staff members were too much ,you can’t even relax it’s like somebody is always watching you .Frito misto was the only dish we liked..everything else was tasteless and was way too greasy.Definitely overpriced for whole experience.would not recommend nor come back.

If the attentiveness of our staff was bothersome to you, we apologize. It's important for us to make sure we never leave our guests needing anything and having to search for a staff member. Lastly, we will take your comments regarding the food to our kitchen staff as "greasy" is a strange description considering how our dishes are actually prepared. Grazie
Hard to beat the Rome location, but this was just not good. Service seemed overwhelmed by the pace of the Valentine's Day seating and the kitchen was turning out duds. When I asked about my dessert, a mousse, that instead was purely whipped cream and stale biscuits, our waiter waxed nostalgic about childhood desserts in Italy. The most excruciating part of the experience was the breadboy, he seemed incapable of using tongs, unfamiliar with the concept of bread, and the bread was not good enough to merit the theater. Anyway, I highly recommend the original in Rome.

We are sad to hear that you were not pleased with your dessert which in fact is a recipe from our Roman location and has received rave reviews from our guests and the media. We understand though that everyone has different taste which is why we like to order an assortment of dishes for our guests. Our "breadboy" was doing his best but we will share your feedback with him as well.
Went here for Valentine’s Day and had an amazing experience. Everyone including the Maitre’d to the waitstaff was so polite and welcoming. The 3 corse meal was incredible....Especially the tiramisu!

The experience started wonderfully when Ian greeted us with a friendly face. After escorting us to our table, the server took care of us for the rest of the night. Having gone for Valentine's Day, I am blown away by how perfect the evening was on such a busy night.

Went for Valentine’s Day. The pre fixe menu was really promising but there was a disconnect between the food and price. I understand it was a commercial holiday, but the food did not warrant the price. Would go back, just would avoid the pre fixe menu. Meal didn’t hold up with similarly priced meals we’ve had.

Really enjoyed the meal but probably wont be back for some time. Entrees really good and service good but Im not sure it justifies the prices which are incredibly high.
Thank you Kate. Just to give a brief explanation of why our prices may seem high, it is because we use imported ingredients from Italy. It is extremely important to us to be as authentic as possible. Our family opened Antica Pesa in Rome in 1922 so to keep the traditions and exceptions high for our American location, we use as many of the same ingredients we can as we do in our Rome location. I hope that helps explain it a bit!

It was my daughter’s birthday, and her first time at Antica Pesa to experience authentic cuisine from Rome. Because it was Super Bowl night, the place wasn’t as crowded and we were able to really appreciate the ambience of this wonderful restaurant.
The food was delicious and everything was exceptional—the Branzino, the eggplant, the risotto, as well as the rigatoni and fettuccine. And their bread tasted fresh out of the oven. The service is always superb as the waiters are very attentive.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to experience true Italian cuisine.

Antica Pesa was highly recommended by friends from Italy who said it like a "real" Italian restaurant! There is one in Rome so I was very excited to go. We had a great time and it was good but not outstanding. The ambience is very charming and the service was good. Our appetizers and dessert were excellent but the entries were not great. One pasta dish was cold which is very lame considering the price and the other ones were nothing special. Our fish was the same....good but not memorable. The wine list was vast and good. The portions were not big especially for Italian food. I would return because overall it was a good dining experience but it did NOT live up to expectations which admittedly were high.

I’ve been coming to Antica for the last 3 years. Always an amazing experience. The cacio pepe is a must. And so is the steak for two if you’re very hungry. The service is phenomenal. I liked the restaurant so much that I visited the original in Rome while on a work trip.

OMG! Found this place via OpenTable with a “nearby” search....and it was the perfect choice. The wine list is overwhelming...it’s literally a book. However, wine lovers will appreciate it. The FETTUCCINE AL BRASATO DI CINGHIALE (fettuccine with wild boar) was the most amazing meal I’ve eaten in a while. No matter where I stay on my next trip to NYC...I’ll be making my way back to this place for at least one meal.
