Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe
Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, fresh black pepper
Espresso soaked Savoiardi cookies, mascarpone, bitter chocolate, cocoa powder
Grilled branzino, beetroot chips & purée, burrata cream, black ink & porcini mushroom sauces
It took one and half hour to get our main course . The food was not as expected especially the pasta .
This Resturant is so special. Authentically Roman with an amazing menu. The pastas are shockingly delicious. We had the Cacio e Pepe and the Amatriciana. Another one of us had the Risotto which was imaginative and melted in your mouth. We shared the Bistecca Alla Fioerntina which is, simply, perfect. Expertly left on the hot slab to cook for those who would prefer it medium rare (vs. rare!). Delicious deserts. Expensive but good wine list. A wonderful evening. Can't wait to go back soon again! Grazie mille!
as a yelp elite i profe myself on giving balanced reviews. i would give it 0 stars if we could — stay away.
We booked the $120pp NYE 10pm seating. We weren’t sat until 10:30pm and at a random table away from the main dining room. As someone who works in restaurants, we get it - nye is tough, but at least try to make it right by offering us a cocktail or something
we were finally seated and ordered drinks, which were good. we then spent the night trying to find the server to put in our order. When we finally ordered around 10:45, we asked for additional bread (we were hungry and would pay for it) and he said he wasn’t sure but would ask his assistant…. that’s when we should have left.
the food was fine, nothing to right home about. the service only got worse.
no champagne at midnight, no countdown, nothing special for new years
they offered a good luck italian stew at midnight which also never came.
Our bill was $600 for arguably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in NYC!
in the words of my fav tiktok trend rn, it was so bad, i want to give it a 0, but that’s not possible so i give it a 1.
Amazing!!the best Italian restaurant in New York!!
Capodanno con famiglia. Ho conosciuto un ristorante ed uno staff unico. Cibo squisito e ricercato, bella presentazione e atmosfera italian style. Lorenzo fantastico, vero padrone di casa ti coccola dall’inizio alla fine. Bravi
My fav spot in Williamsburg, the atmosphere is so cozy and best cacio e pepe ever.
Lovely super-high ceilings and beautiful lighting made a great room. All that space above probably helped to keep the room noise down. Of course, the food was the important thing and that was great. Especially recommend the octopus, pepper spaghetti, and tiramisu.
What a place! This quaint Italian restaurant is a must do in NY. Although located a little Brooklyn street off of the main drag, it is well worth the visit. Everything about this dining experience is top notch, starting from the host greeting you at the door, to the wait staff, sommelier, and the Manager… everyone waits on you here. The food is fantastic, a mix of old school and the modern touch, simply delicious. Thank you, can’t wait to come back!
This was the most arrogant experience i have ever received from a restaurant in a neighborhood i have lived in for 20 years . I was reluctant to try this place after hearing g about the same experience from others .. but i now know , i will NEVER go back and will not recommend to ANYONE to step foot in the door here . May have been the worst dining experience of my life
The service was arrogant and unfriendly. Up selling bottles of wine and being rude when we didn’t get one. Not professional.
The food, the atmosphere, and the HOSTS are ALWAYS Amazing!!!!
This was the first time we’ve been back since things opened up. And we brought friends with us. They couldn’t stop raving about the place afterwards. Left us thinking: we’ll be back more often now…
Thanks for maintaining one of the BEST Authentic Italian restaurants in Brooklyn… and the BEST Italian Restaurant in Williamsburg!
Always sets a standard of offering the most delicious foods wines and ambiance!!!
The food was amazing
the wine list is excellent
great date spot
Always amazing service and amazing food!
Food was amazing and loved my waitress! Cannot stress enough how amazing the food was, my waitress was very attentive and had great recommendations.
However the restaurant was not being well kept, the bathroom had no way to dry my hands on first visit, then second visit still no hand towels and also out of toilet paper and by the time I was able to get anyone's attention to let them know we decided to get the check instead.
A little more al dente than expected and I wish they would have made it more clear on how to order. Definitely should recommend to get a pasta and a protein. Perfect spot for a date night though and the drinks are great.
We came for thanksgiving and overall had a nice time. The service was wonderful but the food and restaurant had a fair amount of issues — there is purposefully nothing to dry your hands with in the bathroom, which is unacceptable. The food itself was fine but disappointing. We tried to order bread for the table and were told no. The tiramisu had very little actual cake to it —- mostly fluff. Overall I’d probably recommend not going on a holiday.
Great place, good food and drinks but service came up a bit short. They seemed to be understaffed and the manager and the servers seemed to be rushing up and down the restaurant, sometimes for no visible reason. Attentiveness was lacking a bit too. For a restaurant of this standard, this is not something that would be expected. I have been here before too and I do not remember it being like this.
Nice place, food was good. Friendly staff. Great ambiance
I had the pleasure of celebrating a big birthday with dinner at Antica Pesa in Rome 2 years ago. By far, my best meal in Rome that trip.I picked up a business card on my way out and noticed the Brooklyn location. I’ve been meaning to come for two years. Perhaps my best dining choice all year! We began with the baked bufala mozzarella with aged prosciutto in a flaky filo crust, divine. Pasta was a duo of red and white pasta followed by the sizzling Porterhouse that was perfectly cooked & seasoned with butter, garlic and thyme. Oh, the Tiramisu & Cannoli did nit disappoint! Thanks to the charming Lorenzo for the history and all the great food and wine recommendations. Worth the trip back just to see him! Wait staff was kind with casual elegance. I’m coming back Antica Pesa!
Amazing food! Great ambiance! Quick and excellent service!! I can’t wait to go back! And I will recommend it to everyone who wants to try amazing Italian cuisine! Beautifully done!! 🙌🏼
The owner, Lorenzo, made you feel like you were part of the family. Excellent, Roman Italian Food. Thank you for a great visit.
A return to a truly spectacular restaurant! We loved our dinner last night — the special homemade fettuccine with ragu and the Bistecca Fiorentina. Divine! Ans we loved our most gracious and All-knowing waitress, Elena!
Excellent food, excellent service, no one better than Lorenzo !
Amazing experience from start to finish.
As always the warm welcome makes you feel special.
The food i divine and really brings me back to my year in Rome.
The service is above and beyond.
Great cocktails and wines to go with dinner.
I’d give more stars if I could.
Food was SO good. The waiters were also very kind and funny. Ambience made the experience 10x better, super beautiful interior!
I live in the neighborhood, was enchanted by what I could see with regard ambience, looking in; I then went home looked them up on line and was delighted to discover it an extension of a restaurant in Rome. Meanwhile friends of mine from Milan, Tacoma and Carroll Gardens were visiting for a Design Fair, and asked me for a restaurant recommendation, and I remembered Antica Pesa, so off we went, warmly met, and soon the Italian language became the music of the table. The food was excellent, the owner came by to greet us, and we lingered after, longer then one might as the atmosphere was so pleasing.
lovely intimate birthday dinner
This restaurant is great! Great food , service and music! Highly recommend!
Outstanding food and service. A delicious visit to Rome!
The bartender was great! Had a drink before dinner and he was very attentive. Once seated, service was slow and unattentive. One of the appetizers was cold and soggy. And the chef was visibly annoyed the entire time. He was yelling at one of the staff from the kitchen window. The entrees were good, but we waited over 30 minutes from the time they cleared our appetizers until we received our entrees. When they cleared the appetizers and gave us new utensils they were dirty and had dried food on one of the forks and one of the knives. We then had to wait another 30 minutes from the time we finished eating before our table was cleared. Food was ok but should have been way better for the price. Service could have been better. Probably will not go back.
Always an incredible experience. The wine selection is outstanding and our waiter really knew his stuff.
Great new autumn menu…Same exceptional service & ambiance
Best service ever!!
Amazing food, amazing ambience but most importantly—the most amazing staff! 10/10.
Food was very subpar. Would come back for drinks because the ambiance was very nice
The tiramisu was delicioso and the atmosphere and details were excellent
