Anthony's HomePort Olympia
We've always like Anthony's but this time it was clearly in a league of it's own! The wait staff were exceptional, and I mean exceptional. There was a missing item on one of our plates and it was so quickly and cheerfully provided by a passing busboy it made our heads spin. In 20 years living in Olympia I've never been more impressed. Outstanding!
We were out celebrating my new opportunity within my career! Everyone was super nice and our server David was incredibly pleasant, energetic and attentive! Will definitely come back for any occasion!
Valentine’s Day and it was a very lovely night. They had a couples special with filet mignon Oscar that was perfectly done but it was the desert that stole the show! It was so good that I wish I had my own! My inner stingy kid did not want to share! It was a perfectly done chocolate lava cake with warm gooey inside paired with a cherry chocolate chip gelato. Topped with a lovely chocolate heart. Very nice dinner. The waitress was wonderful even though it was a very busy evening she was very tentative and did a great job!
Always enjoyable. This is my favorite Anthony's location. This visit was a Valentine's Day bite after an earlier dinner and desert. Two top was intimate, but small though it was by the window. Service was great. Visit was made more enjoyable by couple next to us discussing life on Mars and the battle between the US settlers and the indigenous reptilian species! CAN'T MAKE IT UP!
Anyhow, thank you Anthony's.
Valentines Day was busy but amazing service for the holiday.
Fantastic service & great food. Great view & gorgeous setting
My husband and I dined here last evening. We both ordered the Island Duet on the Valentines Day Menu. The Char Grilled Mahi-mahi was just ok, not outstanding, Portion size maybe about 4oz. The coconut prawns were small and we were only given 3. The broccoli was served with the stems, I’ve never seen it served this way. The almond rice was good. I was expecting an exceptional meal, this was mediocre at best.
Food is definitely over priced here. Chowder was delicious, but pan fried oysters were very small over cooked greasy and served with cold rice and half a plate of Cole slaw. $10 Child’s fish and chips meal had cold fries no ketchup or tarter sauce with it. Didn’t have the porter beer in stock that was on the menu either. It was Valentines night and staff was very busy so may be better on another night. Better experience at the Hearthfire down the road.
Anthony's HomePort Olympia is a wonderfully beautiful setting. The view from the bar and the tables near the window is amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable and personable. He made our dinner an amazing experience. The food and wine was out of this world. I highly recommend Anthony's HomePort Olympia for a wonderful romantic dining experience. 10/10 would definitely go again!
Room we were seated extremely cold. Many guests kept their coats on. Cold air on hot food not a great combo.
They had a special menu for Valentines Day. The food was perfect and just the right size of meal. Server was nice and attentive to our needs to make it a very special day for my wife and I.
We had reservations at 4:00 pm, got there at 4:06 and had to wait less than 5 minutes. The waiter was fantastic and on top of everything. The food was fabulous and the view was wonderful. Best dinner out I have had in a long time.
The best part was our waitress, she was really nice
Always a fun place to go, great service, great food, nice atmosphere.
Excellent food and wonderful service. Three course dinner was an excellent value.
Danielle was the most incredible server, took care of us, checked back and was just so friendly and kind.
The food was exemplary and the evening was perfect!
I like the booths which offer a space for private conversation.
The Beer selection was not that good. The best two popular draft beers on tap in the Puget Sound area are Mack n Jack's African Amber and Manny's Pale Ale. Anthony's doesn't have either available. That will keep me from coming back.
Husband’s birthday celebration. Entrees were very good! The server was pleasant and very attentive —thanks a bunch for a pleasant evening.
The server, location, ambiance and food were amazing as always. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy a nice meal.
The service was really good and the food tasted good but the portion size of a dinner was very small. When you figure that a dinner cost roughly $30 a plate, they are not delivering a dinner sized portion of food. It looked like a light lunch, maybe. At least in comparison to other dining experiences we've had. Mostly, we were very disappointed. Pricing is on the high side and your dinner should reflect that.
Service was terrible. Food was average.
I am sorry to say that we did not enjoy our time at Anthony's HomePort. Our waiter was obese. Really. He also had an odd manor about him that we found undesirable. We were also seated next to a loud part of 12 who were getting drunk. The waiter was hanging out at their table and adding his thoughts. Unprofessional. For $33 for my entrée I expect professional, courteous, HWP waitstaff. Anthony's Hearthfire has perfectly good waiters. Why not here???
The service Thursday night was excellent. The only complaint is they seated us (a couple celebrating my husbands BD) across from two family tables with small children and our reservations were for 7pm. We didn't ask to be reseated.
The Ahi poke nachos and seasonal salad were excellent as was my Manilla Clams Linguine. My husband had the Duet, macadamia nut MahiMahi and coconut shrimp which he said were good but the piece of Mahi Mahi was very petite and the coconut shrimp a little too crisp.
Food, service and view were great. I eat there often and seemed like significant price increase...almost $100 for lunch for four with no desert and one cup of coffee.
As always great food, service and experience at Anthony’s
I’ve always loved Anthony’s Homeport in Olympia, but was disappointed with the food this time, as was my husband. We both ordered the chopped seafood salad and although it looked good when it arrived, it was fairly tasteless. Maybe the dressing? Maybe too much lettuce? Don’t know but we both felt that way.
I have always had a very good experience at Athony's Homeport. This is the first time I have had lunch. Many times have had the Sunday Brunch and have probably had dinner 15 times over the years.
I have never written a bad review but feel that you can not correct something if you don't know about it. My fish tacos which I have often at other restaurants were the worst I have ever had. The fish which was cod was overcooked and most of it was quite fishy. One other person had the fish tacos with the mahi mahi and it was overcooked. Another person had fish and chips which were mostly chips and it was overcooked. The last person had a seafood salad that was ok but the avacado had brown spots on it so she didn't eat it.
We arrived at 1 pm and the restaurant was not busy. It did take awhile for the food to arrive but we were with friends so that was no problem. Possibly the food sat under the warming lights for a period of time and dried out. The service was fine.
We were with friends out for a nice lunch so did not say anything to our server. I am not writing this to complain. I just think you can't correct something if you don't know about it.
I will continue to come to Anthony's Homeport for Sunday Brunch and dinner. I will probably go to your Hearthfire Grill for lunch which I have enjoyed many times.
What a wonderful evening! The dinner was delicious and the service exceptional. Enjoy!!!
Always a good experience. Our server Matthew made it an even more enjoyable evening- knowledgeable and a great sense of humor..
Food was delicious. We enjoyed our experience and hope to go back again someday
We have come to rely on Anthony's as a nice spot to celebrate and to bring new friends. The service is always good and the food tasty. Nice ambience and setting.
I am forced to give the food and restaurant 4 stars simply because our server was so outstanding his 5 stars need to stand alone. He never introduced himself -- YAY! He anticipated, never interrupted, was entirely competent and proud of his job done correctly but with no haughty pretensions. Very impressed -- not by Olympia standards -- but very impressed by any city's standards.
Best appetizer i have ever had. Good service. One of my new favorite spots in Olympia!
Even though it was a busy night, your team stayed calm, which makes the service & the meal fabulous! Good Job, can't wait to eat there again soon.
Great food...very attentive staff.
Overall, a great experience. It is a little noisy for quiet conversation.
We enjoyed a meal during Sunday Brunch. Each of our menu choices was satisfying. Our server (Sienna) was very pleasant and attentive ... nice service! Thank you.
Service was great, seating was good, but the food wasn’t up to my normal Anthony’s expectations
Anthony’s is always hit and miss for us, and unfortunately it was a miss this go around. While our service was great, the food, especially our entree’s were severely lacking. We weren’t even 1/2 way through salads when our entrees were brought out and left to sit and get cold while we finished our salads. My husband had the sole, which had so much breading on it it made it not pleasant to eat. It was supposed to be lightly coated, not to the point of deep fried. I had the island duo, which the mahi lacked flavor and the coconut shrimp were extremely greasy and over-fried. The wait staff was fine, even mentioned we could get a 1/2 portion of a dessert, which was great. This isn’t the first time we’ve had bad meals here, it’s a 50/50 chance if they will be ok. It’s frustrating given the price you pay. Not sure if we will return or not.
