Anthony's Hearthfire Grill Bellingham
Loved taking my granddaughter out for a birthday dinner!
Nice dining experience. Service was great and so was the food and atmosphere.
Perfect evening for a girls get together. Watched it pour down rain and we were cozy on the inside. Service and food was great!
Great location with all seating have views of marina and bay. The service was very good. My salmon cakes were excellent. My wife's salad and chowder were so-so. Overall, we would go back if in Bellingham again.
We always have a great dinner at Hearthfire. The best in Bellingham. Lee was our waitress and she made our dinner exceptionally entertaining and fun. She helped make our anniversary extra special.
Carson -the manager was so kind and helped make my elderly parents feel especially welcome. We had a great visit.
It is an excellent venue, the service is very good and the food really hit the spot. The waitperson was most helpful and took excellent care of us.
We were a party of 4. Two of us had the early bird dinner of scampi prawns that came with the bay shrimp cocktail, ceasar salad and key lime dessert. One had the salmon cake dinner and one had a bowl of toasted tomato soup and the romaine blue cheese and hazelnut salad. All the dinners arrived hot and were tasty. The early bird dinners were a very good value. Our server was terrific. Our only disappointment was that the majority of the menu was seafood oriented or came with the corn pudding as the starch. We've had the corn pudding several times in the past and it ruins all of the dishes it's served with. It is very sweet and tastes like a dessert and not a vegie nor starch.
The kitchen seemed a little slow for a night that wasn't overly busy.
Still in all, a wonderful place.
Good amount of food choices. Prices are right. Steak was a bit chewy, make sure you receive it the way you ask. Services was great, very friendly from the moment you walk in. Very parking friendly, lots of room. Make a reservation for an easier experience.
We wanted to have just a early relaxing dinner, it is a great location. Great view right on the water beautiful with a sunset. Noise level wasn’t bad, service was good. The waitress was always there for what we needed but didn’t interrupt or feel overbearing. Great place if you want a nice date or fun evening.
My wife and I had an exceptional experience, we had a lovely booth near the ocean and our waitress was very attentive and kind. The food was incredible from the bread, seafood, deserts! Truly great experience and will be back again soon.
Saw friends nearby!!
First time at this restaurant and it will not be our last. The servers were very attentive, but not bothersome. From the cocktails to the main meal, everything was exceptional. We are from Canada and we also live on the ocean, and this place does seafood right, good as any we have on Vancouver Island.
We received two incorrect orders, and had to wait another 45 minutes to get what we had ordered the first time. Food was great just very disappointed about the order, and then have the waitress basically argue with what was ordered. The order that was given too us was the wrong steak and way over cooked, and the second order was the wrong steak.
New servers were poised and competent, service was done with a smile and needs were met swiftly. The meal was well presented and as described in the menu, with fresh bread brought still hot from the kitchen. The food was just as ordered with one steak medium well and one medium rare delivered to the correct party! A very pleasant experience!
Excellent in all ways except for noise level. There really is no “quieter” zone in this restaurant. Suggest anyone with any hearing impairment should dine mid-afternoon!
All good service and good food
Food was amazing! Very much appreciated reservation in a quieter area to quietly celebrate a romantic, special event.
Shrimp entrees were very good, although could have had a bit more flavor. The bread had been microwaved and was extremely chewy. But the setting was beautiful and lent itself well to conversation and a relaxing meal.
We always enjoy going to the Hearthfire as it has a great location, food is good, and the service is very good. Nice Ambience...
We weren’t wowed by the food but it was nice because of the view and our server was great! Three out of four of us had the crab chowder and it was so so —my husband said it was too sweet and he thought it had bread chunks in it. I had the mango shrimp salad which tasted very good but the amount of shrimp was pretty skimpy and the shrimp weren’t very flavorful. Would have liked to be a little more excited about the food that was served because I love the view and the location.
Loved it - their early dinner menu is the way to go! The top on the burnt cream was a little thick, but still yummy!
My wife and I celebrated her birthday here and everything was fantastic !
Never fails to be a great restaurant. Early dinner M-F until 6:00 pm is a special, reasonabl value. Fantastic setting overlooking the marina.
Awesome view. Great value with the Happy Hour menu. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable server. We’ll be back !
We have been to your restaurant a number of times. We’ve have some excellent meals, and some very disappointing ones. Our last visit was really subpar.
My wife’s rotisserie half chicken was dry and over roasted. My ling cod was tough, improperly sauced, and just not very good. We both ordered bake potatoes which were overladen with butter, and just ok. Better to not offer this option than to offer it as an after thought. On other occasions both these dishes have been excellent. We’ve both enjoyed the chicken Cobb salad in the past, but have had less than great experiences with that dish as well.
We finished our meal both saying it was time to try other places, and not return, reasoning that we just couldn’t count on the quality.
Your restaurant has a wonderful location, and an attractive dining room, and would be perfect for hosting out of town visitors. With it’s inconsistency we would reluctant to choose it.Too bad. We’ve certainly given the Hearth fire a fair shot.
Always yummy! Consistently great food-a never fail!
View is relaxing!
I ordered the Surf and Turf (Wagyu beef and prawns) which was the Sunday night special. It came with diced potatoes and asparagus. The vegetables were very under cooked, and the beef was the toughest piece of meat I ever had. How they get away with calling it Wagyu is beyond me. The shrimp was fine, and the salmon my husband ordered was fine. The service was slow and unprofessional, but the management was decent enough to take the inedible meal off our bill. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
Went there for lunch. I had the wild Alaskan Salmon burger with fries. It was excellent.
Came for the early dinner special. What a great deal! Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Best date night we’ve had in a long time.
Four of us went out for a celebration. The server was quite knowledgeable, and recommended two of the fresh catches, as well as the early-bird, four-course special. Three of us had the special; one had the halibut. All food was very good. The prices are on the higher side for the area, so we tend to reserve going there for special occasions (maybe 6-8 times a year).
Very good food and service - Excellent atmosphere
My favorite restaurant in Bellingham. Never too crowded, you can actually talk to and hear what your lunchmates are saying without yelling. View is wonderful and everyone is professional and courteous. Food is always great!
We took mom there on Mother’s Day and had a great experience. Even though it was a busy, crowded holiday dinner hour, we did not feel rushed or that the service was lacking in any way.
Rhubarb Slump for dessert, you won’t be disappointed.
The place was nice, the food was ok. I find the price a tad bit over priced. You're definitely paying for the view. The sausage and scones are obviously made from scratch which is nice but blueberry crepes for $17 just seems too much for my liking. The only seafood option I could have for the mother's day brunch was the shrimp salad but I wanted breakfast. The server was nice and helped modify everything due to my gluten intolerance. I asked for no cheese however I didn't notice until she had already did her"two bite check" so ended up just eating around it. Most likely won't come here again. I like more bang for my buck and would prefer more seafood options.
It was a beautiful location and view for mother's day but the menu that day was very limited and the food was average. I'd come back for the view and drinks & apps.
Not a bad spot. The views are great as was the service, but that food was average at best.
