This is our go to local restaurant, excellent food and service. Highly recommend Anthony’s
We tried this place for the first time after hearing good things. I had the Veal Roll (special) and my wife had the Seafood Fettuccine. Meals were excellent and you could tell the food was fresh. The homemade pasta is absolutely spot on. The owner was there and is super attentive and accommodating. You can tell he really cares about your experience. Great spot!
On Thursday, my husband and I did an impromptu dinner at Anthony's. I wasn't sure how busy it would be so I made a reservation. It wasn't crowded when we arrived at 5:45 but sure enough by 6:30, it was packed. I tried the crab and lobster ravioli with a side caesar salad. The homemade dressing and croutons were amazing. I usually only eat a few of them, but I couldn't stop and I ate them all. My meal was very tasty. I took half of it home and enjoyed it the next day. My husband had a small steak sandwich. He said it was ok. When I was leaving, I saw someone with the margherita pizza and it looked amazing. I know what my next meal will be. :)
Always reliable and reasonable. Something for everyone. The owners have done a nice renovation and appreciate their diners as well. They seem to have a lot of "regulars" which says something for the quality of their establishment. We are 2 of them.
First time here, definitely would go back. Food was excellent. Calamari was a hit. Server was on top of everything and never felt rushed. The only food issue was the focaccia bread was dry and overly seasoned, but it was free. Highly recommend.
Took a while to be greeted and served a dime water and drink. Took a while for appetizer too, even while not really busy as I have seen in the past.
Never disappointed by a meal here. Flavors pop on all the food and everything tastes fresh.
We keep going back. We are always greeted promptly and seated quickly. Service is very good and the food is great. Very reasonable. We'll be back.
Best Italian food in our area!! Go! Make reservations! Otherwise you may not get in!! Love this hidden gem!!
Absolutely delicious! We went for our anniversary and had wonderful service and an authentic Italian dinner. The plate presentation was beautiful and the portions plentiful. We can not wait to come back!!
Excellent food and service
Sat at the bar. Watery martini and Manhattan. Pizza was good. Everything else we ordered, calamari and pasta, was very mediocre. Ultimately disappointing.
The food was delicious, starting with the complimentary bread and luscious tomato and olive oil dipping sauce. We shared the bruschetta appetizer which came with a generous five pieces. My spouse had the chicken parmigiana, and I had traditional lasagne. Both were excellent with a generous amount to take home for dinner the following evening. I had been enticed to try this restaurant by the photo of a mojito on their Facebook page, and it was as delicious as the photo suggested. My spouse described his Moscow mule as “good, but not great.” The service was outstanding including the take-home boxes which our waitress wrapped securely and labeled for us. I was glad I had made a reservation as others were always waiting for tables on this busy Wednesday evening. Lastly, parking was surprisingly ample in this downtown location with a very deep lot behind the restaurant and an easy exit onto Viaduct Avenue. I would recommend giving it a try; I know we will definitely return!
Our first visit to Anthony's and not our last. Great wine and spirits list. Our shared tasting board appetizer was generous in size and a great way to start our meal. Wife had a special and I had the carbonara. Again, large portion for each and had to take some home for the next day. Both were delicious.
First time here. Had a good time and found it to be good value. Will be back soon.
The food here is phenomenal! This is our new favorite spot for drinks, appetizers or dinner!
One of the best I've had. A local gem. Will return often.
Always a wonderful meal with fantastic service
Had a reservation and was seated immediately. Waiter took our drink order right away and was served quickly. Dinner was delicious.
Everything here was fabulous and top-notch from food to service. The only hold back from a 5 star review was a snafu with receiving the wrong dinner, however this was corrected very quickly. The server was extremely nice and apologetic, and brought us a free Cannoli without us asking for anything. One small mistake will not stop us from returning. The food and service is excellent.
Food is amazing, staff is friendly, accomodating, and attentive without being overbearing, and the prices are very reasonable. Fantastic place!
Was awesome!!! All of it!!!
This is truly the Jewel of Chester County. We will be back again as the food was the best Italian I have ever eaten. Can't wait to try more menu items and even sit outside. The desserts are better than what you would purchase at a high end bakery. The wait staff is friendly and attentive.
Very tasty food and aim to please service! Anthony’s Cucina Fresca is a big plus for Downingtown.
Exceptional food, excellent service.
A little on the noisy side possible because more kids than usual on Father's Day. Waitress could have been more proactive about what needed to be on the table based on our order (i.e. salt, pepper, spoon for pasta, bowl for mussel shells, etc.). Food outstanding as always.
Started by ordering the eggplant stack appetizer based on award plaque in waiting area. Was not overly impressed. However, we ordered 3 different types of pasta dishes. All were outstanding! Veal tips were tender. Seafood was fresh. Pasta was cooked perfectly.
Food was good as usual, but the restaurant was packed. This resulted in slow service. One of the meals came out lukewarm. Staff seemed insufficient for the number of patrons.
Food was good, service was exceptionally slow. Noise level was over the top, yet place was filled so that may have resulted in the noise.
Went there with a friend for dinner to celebrate our birthday after seeing it advertised on FYI Philly. It didn't disappoint. The mushroom soup was excellent and the shaved parm on the Caesar salad was yummy! The shrimp meal I had was delicious. I'd definitely go back.
The service was outstanding. Everyone was very accommodating to our needs. The “special” (homemade pasta with seafood and veggies in primavera sauce) was absolutely delicious the evening I visited
The service was great, the ambiance wonderful, but the food was nothing really special. The drinks were very good, though. I wouldn't recommend it for anything special, but it's a nice place to go back occasionally. The parking situation was incredibly bad, on a Thursday night. There was no real warning of just how bad it was, and I had to call and be told to park at the coffee shop across the street, which didn't have any real parking spot. I wish the food and parking was better.
Lovely restaurant. Good food, grear service. A bit noisy, but tolerable. I would recommend it!
Service was a bit slow. Apps are tiny. Calamari app is embarrassing. Little rings that most likely frozen. Need to get better calamari and increase app portions.
It was our first time at Anthony's. The service was right on. The food outstanding for a reasonable price. Very good Italian wine selection by the glass. You can tell that the pastas are homemade by their texture in your mouth. Due to the hard stone/brick walls it is a bit noisy, but lively. The waitstaff was very attentive. The owner came around to ask how everything was. Parking is a challenge in their lot, but we found close street parking. This has been a great find of an Italian restaurant for us!
We were celebrating after our daughters graduation and everything was great.
The Dining experience was excellent, prompt seating , great service and the food was outstanding. I definitely recommend Anthony's Cucina Fresca. Will see you again soon.
That is the 4th time I've eaten there and will continue. I'm always impressed with the changes being made.
Excellent food and service! Would recommend this place to anyone.
Large menu, excellent quality and flavor of food. Service was excellent. Plan on returning and will
