Permanently Closed - Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza - Kildeer
Excellent wings almost make up for the poor service (could be a bad waiter) and mediocre pizza. But the wings were truly outstanding.
Great but they closed when we came this time!
Very good food! The place was dead when we went, and yet we rarely saw our server. Otherwise, it was a very good overall experience. Would highly recommend. Unique menu, and good food.
I asked for well-done pizza, came out a bit burnt. The pice was still a bit floppy and needed to eat like a New Yorker as it was ready to fall apart. It was tasty but needed too much work to eat.
Service was good and limited Beers on tap.
Great service and Daniel the manager was very nice and checked on us to make sure we were well taken care of.
Our pizza was cold and the server, although trying his best was not very attentive. Bartender had to look up how to make a drink that was listed on the menu. Not impressed with either the food or service
Waited 25 minutes to be greeted at our table by our server. Then waited another 20 minutes for a beer and wine to get there. My wife's meal that she ordered was was not what they originally gave us so we had to wait even longer to get the correct order...disappointing as we have been there before and it was great. Definitely a disappointing experience this time around.
We live in Delray Beach 6 months out of the year. We frequently go to the restaurant there. When it finally opened in Kildeer we could not wait to go.
We were all disappointed. The salad, wings and pizza were just ok. Actually the pizza was bad. Not crisp like Florida. It was limp and tasteless. The people who run this place should go to Delray and taste the food.
People from Chicago are very fussy about pizza. This was more like a NY “pie”
Food - fabulous! Noise level was loud. Drinks great. Service also very good.
Not really a little "kid friendly" place. Overall service was good and food was very good.
The food and service was good but I feel the price was a little high.
Unfortunately we have been to Anthony’s 3 times An the service has always been horrible. Last time the worst. We had to wait 30 minutes just to find out who our waiter was. Then some food ice cold . Wanted to speak to manager but no one new who that was.not going to try for a fourth time. Food pretty good but they need new staff!
We waited 1 hour for our appetizers to arrive. The pizza arrived 30 minutes later. Our waitress told us there was a problem with their competitors system and our food would be out momentarily. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case. The manager was supposed to come see us to explain however they never showed up. Very disappointed in the experience.
We very much enjoyed the food. Challenge was we were sitting for 30 minutes, after being served a beverage and placing our order, before we could get the attention of our waiter. When we inquired why bring a salad he realized that "the computer" didn't show our order. So we got to wait until the order could be placed. No mention of an I'm sorry. We'll go back again as it was a great pizza and it is an easy, casual atmosphere.
Made reservations on open table; not honored. Had to sit in bar. Service and bringing out food horrible. Spent almost 3 hours there waiting on poor service and food being brought out
Had to ask for forks knives water never brought and no plates for pizza or dessert. Dessert was stuffed mini cannolis that were not filled with custard stuffed only the ends so they were hollow.
Poor waiter tried but kitchen was beyond slow so we asked for bill before dessert and still sat there waiting to get out of there. Nothing like other location in Fl. Other people in bar complaining about same service
Young staff too busy talking and seemed like we interrupted their time in asking for even napkins. Overall they lost us. Not going back; ever.
Delicious coal fired pizzeria. Love the menu options, love happy hour specials. The arugula burrata salad is amazing. Offering samples of their unique wings is genius. Even tho one was enough that time, I would come back for a while order.
Great pizza and cold beer
We sat at the bar. Great food and service. The staff was very attentive to our drinks and food order.
We dined at a very busy time, Saturday 6:30. The restaurant is rather small, and was packed. We had reservations and we were seated on time. Table service was sloooooow. Took a long time to get drinks. We had to ask for plates and silverware, and first set of plates was wet and not clean.
We ordered the Classic Italian Salad with meatballs. Salad had lots of lettuce, sparse toppings. Meatballs were very good. Pizza was good, generous sized, with typical coal fired taste.
Prices are high for salad and pizza.
Very disappointed. Made a reservation, walked in and stood there behind 4 people for 5 minutes while hostess was wiping tables herself. People in front of us were walk-ins and she gave them seating before honoring our reservation. Pizza undercooked. They are still figuring things out it seems.
Awesome food and awesome service. Manager Erika and the other Manager were super nice and made us feel so welcome and part of the family!
Service and staff were amazing!! As usual the pizza and wings were delicious.
I was a first timer here (apparently its a chain with locations all around the USA, guess I must live in a cave).
Their happy hour variety and pricing is absolutely outstanding.. we had a nice time and great ambiance before the crush of people at 730pm. good beer, good service, good ambiance, good food.. above all a great value. thumbs up.
Excellent experience... Michelle provided excellent service, the food was very good with the Coal Fired Wings rated as exceptional.
Good pizza. Went in with high expectations for the wings and feel like they were good but not great and kind of pricey for the relatively small wings. We could tell our server was very new, even given that the restaurant is very new. Bothered by the fact that we were not asked about rewards points through the restaurant. I signed up while we were waiting for our food
Not a good experience at all. Ordered a salad with Burrata and an appetizer of eggplant and they were both quite good. From there it was WAY downhill. The incredibly expensive square margarita pizza was just bad. Burnt edges are not crispy edges. They’re burnt. Just poorly executed at all levels, this pizza was. Compounding that was the fact that they clearly either forgot to put the order in for my daughter’s tuna sandwich or their timing is bloody awful. It came 15, yes 15 minutes after the pizza. It was good I guess, but who cares after that timing! I will never return and I will be sure to insure that nobody I know goes there.
Fresh ingredients- the coal fire pizza was great and everyone should try the wings- so good!
We thought the food was very good. However the cost was extreme. Having traveled , the prices were More in line with what I'd pay in manhattan than the suburbs of Chicago. It should be that good for less money. The costs were enough that we would think hard before going back.
Watch out! Cocktail prices are not on the menu and are sky high for this bare bones casual style restaurant. Delicious food, reasonably priced but $17 for a scotch? $13 for Moscow Mule. What the heck? Seems out of line.
Food was good, not great. I expected more especially for the price. More expensive than most deep dish places in the Chicago area. Glad I tried it but I’d personally stick to deep dish at that price point. Not very conducive to family dining either (no kids menu), although the service was good and the staff very friendly.
Good food. My well done pizza was a bit burnt. A hot pizza oven I guess
It was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. We had the meatballs for an appetizer and The Cross Town Classic with sweet peppers for our pizza. Both were excellent and we’d order them again!!!
Was expecting a bit more. Pizza was good but just slightly above average.
WAY OVERPRICED! Crap food. Service was ok. Wouldn't recommend.
Pizza was okay, I prefer California Pizza Kitchen. Smaller restaurant than I expected. More expensive then CPK and not as good
Great pizza and the meatballs are fantastic. Good family restaurant.
Wonderful service! Our waiter went above and beyond! Would recommend!
Food was terrible. Won’t be going back.
We were pleasantly pleased! Hoped it was going to be as good as Ft. Lauderdale. Awesome! We will be back soon. Wings are the bomb!
