   They ran out of MOZZARELLA CHEESE on this random SUNDAY NIGHT. Blamed it on a kitchen manager quitting. Sorry 1- you don’t air out your dirty laundry to the public and customers. 2- not an excuse. Get your staff together, pick up the slack order inventory or go to a market and pick up mozzarella cheese yourself instead of a distributor bringing it to you, and get your work done to operate as a normal regular day. When someone comes to a restaurant they want to have a good time and relax, not hear excuses and drama. Pizza was still fantastic because they used fresh mozzarella instead and added ricotta, made everything better, was just looking forward to burratta which they also ran out of. Listen running out of mozzarella cheese at a pizza joint is like McDonald’s running out of burgers. It is not an excuse. People go there for one thing specifically, PIZZA; it says it in the name of the joint. C’mon guys.

   This is not Great Neck specific. Been to several ACP's in last several weeks. One thing is consistent. Quality has gone down hill. It is not the chain Anthony founded and got popular. Now private equity owned the formula has changed. It is now just a higher priced ho hum pizza place. Vibrancy is good but why pay a premium for mediocre food. Contributing to the decline the staff seems less enthusiastic. Poor morale - manager turnover in evidence too. I have been a long term fan. I now need to spend my acchmulatrd reward points to get a return on my heretofore loyalty - but not going out of my way. What a shame. It's slogan is "our pizza is well done". It should now read" our pizza is not done well "! Boring and doughy pizza. How can its current owners let this place deteriorate? Rhetorical - it has lost a lot.
