Food is consistently good. On a recent experience we received outstanding service. Our five year old wanted pasta, but they were out so they offered to make more. They were very apologetic about the delay and provided a significant discount on the bill.
It’s consistently good amongst the different restaurants. The pizza is good and the salads as well. Ambience is so so but overall a good experience.
Glad for the Open Table Reservations or we would waited 30 minutes. Just waited a few minutes for someone to get up and we were seated before everyone else waiting there already. Thanks Open Table!
Great spot for casual business meeting
Numerous menu options to please all!
Great food
We were seated right away... waitstaff was excellent!
Food was very good. We truly like Anthony’s Coal Fire! It is a neighborhood gem for sure. Never a bad meal. Salad is delicious as well as their pizza. We especially love the eggplant Marino.
The food was good as was the service - there were new items on the menu - but we will stick to the original wings - they are the best !
The pizza was fine. However our salad was not served until we asked for it and only came with the pizza. More the room was uncomfortably cold and we had to eat with our coats on...won’t be back until the spring
Food was great. Service was fabulous. Table next to a drafty entrance was not so nice so we moved. Wasn’t too keen on the children running around the restaurant but not sure how the restaurant can control that.
Our food took forever to come.
Tables around us, who sat after us got served before us. It is just pizza
This was our family’s first visit. We had a reservation for 7 and were seated promptly! The food we ate was awesome. The meatball appetizer was great. The gravy was fresh and very tasty. For dinner we had 2 pizza’s, a cheese and a sausage and pepperoni. Yummy.
Will definitely come back again
Had to wait a long time for table even with reservation and waited in doorway where people trying to enter and exit but otherwise a great dinner
Always enjoy the wings. The Mediterranean pizza was good as well.
Had a reservation and after waiting 10 minutes the table still wasn’t ready (a table of 12 was seated just prior to us arriving and it was obvious they took our reservation). Other tables were ready to cash out but the servers never went to the tables in the 10 minutes we were waiting. Been to other Anthonys but won’t be back to this location. Servers need help.
Great Pizza and awesome service
Delish! Pizza is amazing and Love the new Italian style hot wings! Yes they are hot!
First time to this Anthony's. Based on the other reviews, was a little concerned about our reservation being honored, especially since it was a Saturday evening and my mom is in a wheelchair, but we were seated immediately. Arugula salad was very good, as were meatballs, however, I would probably not get the Caprese pizza again. Our server was nice, and pretty attentive. Will likely return.
Was disappointed at first because the hostess seemed to have no idea about our reservation. We were told we needed to wait 10-29 minutes for a particular table to clear. After about 8 minutes of waiting in the doorway she ushered us to a table that had been empty the entire time
Our server was great and the food was wonderful
Consistent. Always good- wings, salad and pizza. Nice service. Good beer selection
Pizza and service excellent!!!!
Beer and wine choices limited for some reason. No Merlot or Coord light available. Food was hot and very good, especially the eggplant dishes.
The meatball pizza is delicious!
Our waitress was fabulous!! I didn’t get her name!! Pizza was great!!
Some of the worst service I've ever had! My family and I had to wait approximately 25 minutes just to get water at our table. I had to ask three times for water! She said they ran out of cups and it would be about 4 minutes to clean. Shortly afterwards she reappeared with cups in hand and said, "she got them from behind the bar". Really??? I had two beers before we got water!
By the looks of it, our table wasn't the only one not happy this night. Other tables were looking for their waiters and waitresses shaking there heads.
Our waitress would walk right by us without looking or checking in with us. Unreal!
Over priced and no flavor! I customized my pizza with four different veggie and it cost $25. They say their pizza is well done but it wasn't here. I asked if they had garlic powder or oregano and our waitress said they don't. Really???
I'll pay for good food but this wasn't worth it. Stay away from this Blue Bell, PA location. Not sure about the other locations
Outstanding coal fired oven pizza; everyone enjoyed it.
Had a 6:45pm reservation. Wouldn’t check us into the computer so we didn’t get our Open Table points. Sat outside for 20 mins with menus but no service. Requested to be moved inside, got menus. 15 mins later, could not make eye contact with a server, never asked to have water, no service. It was almost as if they were deliberately avoiding us. It was so bizarre. We left and went to Blue Bell Inn where they actually waited on us, set us up with a cocktail and water, and had a great dinner. What happened Anthony’s?!?
Corbin was the best!!!!!! Favorite server ever! Don’t let him go 👍🏻
Waiter corbin was awesome!! He have exceptional service gave great suggestions from the menu and was so professional and nice, not to mention handsome and well put together
Well known for their pizza, and deservedly so, but the calzone and the homemade meatballs are a must try. Excellent service. Many good beers on tap. Great cocktails.
Love the cauliflower pizza. Also had the pasta fagioli soup, which is a nice portion with side of Parmesan crusted pita slices. However, as I'm not a bacon aficionado, I felt the soup was overpowered with too much bacon and it was moderately fatty. To others that might be appealing so take it for what it's worth. The service was terrific. The tuna sandwich, which is no longer on the menu, but they still made it and is very good. Will always go back again and again.
I usually visit the Wayne location but was in the area and decided to try this location. I have to say, I liked the ambiance much more than Wayne. The front opens entirely to the outside, which is perfect for the season. Food was quick, and service was great. Will definitely be returning again.
First time we experienced fair service and food quality, hope it was the result of the holiday weekend. The restaurant was not busy.
Food took unusually too long. We were waiting quite a while and when the pizzas arrived, my youngest, who had ordered a meatball sandwich, had to wait an additional 5-10 minutes.
Food was good. The eggplant was one of the best I’ve had. Stuffed shells were burnt. Service very slow, it was Mothers Day and restaurant was busy however they should have been prepared. Food came out at different times, maybe that’s how it was designed, though our server kept apologizing for the delays. I actually felt bad for our server because he had to keep apologizing for issues in the kitchen. Would have been nice if the Manager had come over. I ordered coffee but was told they do not have coffee, found that odd. Settled for a cafe americano. I will give them another try.
We had a 6:45 restaurant and the hostess told us it would be a 25-30 minute wait. We asked to speak to the manager, who was wonderful! She apologized for the miscommunication and sat us within five minutes. She also comped our appetizer. The pizza was wonderful as usual (cheesesteak and margherita). This is a great place for families and delicious pizza. We are happy that it moved into the neighborhood.
I will start by saying that Anthony’s serves ridiculously amazing food. Everything is so delicious and well worth the trip. The huge negative is that although opentable will allow you to make a reservation, Anthony’s will not honor it if they are busy. They stated that the do not “hold tables” for reservations. If a restaurant is not going to honor reservations then I do not believe they should participate on opentable’s site.
I have made reservations TWICE on Open Table for Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Blue Bell, PA. Both times management told me "we don't take reservations." Then why are you listed on Open Table and why am I able to make a reservation if you don't accept them? Fortunately, my party didn't have to wait too long to be seated but I'm pretty furious with the situation because it's false advertising. If you're not going to honor the reservations, it's as simple as removing your business from reservation sites.
Food was great, as usual! We had a great salad and pizza. Our server, Lauren, was attentive without invading our space, cheerful and quite competent.she attended to details easily.
Excellent and reasonable meal
Don’t honor reservation based on my experience so won’t use again
