Pizza is mediocre(sauce and crust is lacking flavor) ; wings are pretty good. Noise level was moderately high for the amount of people in the restaurant. Waiter was excellent!
Best pizza my wife and I, and friends we've taken Anthony's to, have ever had. The crust is out of this world, and the ingredients are five-star. Yum.
Food was very good. Service was super slow. I would go back again.
The pizza was almost cold, not much sauces or cheese very dry. It will be difficult to recommend this Restaurant at this time.
I don't expect this place will last long. Totally empty during the lunch rush on Thursday afternoon. The pomodoro tasts very commercial. the dough has no flavor or aroma. The roasted cauliflower was so salty rendering it inedible. The 12 inch pizza is $20. Overpriced.
The pizza was good as usual for Anthonys. Unfortunately the place was packed with kids, 15 and under and loud. No attempt by staff to keep them relatively quiet. We
were there at 7pm. We had an Anthony's frequent user card from Anthony's in Florida which was not honored. No reason given.
Will likely not go back.
Best pizza in Bethesda!
Great food and fantastic service.
Lost our pizza order and we waited an hour for it. Dining in, not take out. Comped us an order of $4.50 garlic knots. How about another glass of pinot each? And not a lot of apology or remorse. When it came the pizza was very good. (The garlic knots, just ok. But we were famished at that point.)
The staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly. The manager was very nice! I enjoyed my "pizza" experience and will return!
This was our 2nd visit to Anthony's and I was disappointed. I ordered a pizza, of course, and the bottom was burned. When I politely answered the manager's question as to how the pizza was, I showed him the bottom crust. His response was that all their pizzas are "crispy" when they come out of the oven. There is a vast difference between crispy and burnt. Not a good answer from the manager. The meatballs were delicious and our server was excellent. Not likely to go back for pizza.
The pizza is simply awful!!! Domino's pizza is better than this and cheaper too. We will never eat here again.
First time trying Anthony's pizza. I'd rate it as "pretty good" but not great, far as gourmet pizzas go. The service was excellent however and the cocktails were quite tasty. The Bethesda location can't be beat and they offer ample outdoor dining.
it was fine. I wouldn’t go back but nothing special.
OK in a pinch. Food was fine. Good for a quick bite. TVs on the wall in the dining area were distracting. Felt like a sports bar. Server was ernest.
The pizza was good and had a nice char. The salad was fresh and crisp.
Great service, our server was very attentive. The food was delicious!
Staff is great; friendly and helpful.
Food is delicious. Meatballs in particular live up to reputation. But the place is incredibly noisy and loud and not conducive to dinner conversation. Servers have to repeat themselves because customers cannot hear them. Parties at tables need to nearly shout to hear each other. It would not be difficult to add some sound absorbing elements to the decor and bring the noise level down 10 decibels. But other than how loud it is, we really enjoyed our visit. Will go again.
This is what I wrote in my Yelp review:
I came to this restaurant for the first time today because I wanted to support a new business. But I was disappointed. My friend and I ordered the lunch pizza and asked if we could do half-and-half toppings, and the waitress said yes. After waiting quite some time, our pizza finally arrived. It was good pizza. But when we asked for the check, we were charged nearly $30 for our pizza. I asked about this, since the lunch pizza should only be about $10 (a little more with toppings). The waitress said you could only do the large pizza half-and-half, and she had assumed we wanted the large. You shouldn't assume anything! Especially at a new restaurant: how were we supposed to know that? She also said that the lunch pizza is only a personal pizza, but it clearly says on the menu that it is good for two servings. So we had to pay the full price, even though it was the restaurant's fault, not ours.
The only reason I would go back would be to claim my free pizza you can get through their rewards app. After that, no thank you!
Our waitress was great. I think it was only her third day but she’s a keeper
Pizza and service was excellent. Appreciated the complimentary wing tasting!
Music is very loud
Made reservations, but table wasn’t ready for awhile. They indicated they don’t take reservations any longer so recommend you go early to secure seating. Opentable should have been aware or updated.
Food was great and servers were friendly. Recommend for anyone looking for a casual dining spot with good pizza.
We are big fans of the coal oven pizza in Philadelphia, so we were eager to try Anthony's. The crust has very good coal oven flavor, although it's flat not puffy on the edges. We thought it lacked enough sauce and mozzarella cheese, it was pretty sparse. We ordered meatball toppings, they were very good and plentiful; so plentiful that they drowned out any sauce flavor. Overall it was good, but we prefer locally the more flavorful pies of DeMarco and Frankly Pizza. Atmosphere and Service were good, not too noisy. Our servers were very friendly and checked in on us regularly. Slight issues on the service; we were never told about all the other draft beers they had off the menu. Saw them on a sign at the end of the bar when we walked out. Also we asked if the onion topping was red or white. We were told white but weren't told they were carmelized, which we don't care for. Afterwards we were told we should have ordered red onions. In retrospect we should have simply sent the pizza back and ordered a new pie with extra sauce, mozzarella and red onions. We'll go back eventually, but at this stage it's not on out "must have" pizza list.
We will return. It was great!
One of the best pizzas you can get in Bethesda! The service was flawless and the quality was as high as other Anthony’s locations.
Great food and service. Nice staff, prompt service. Manager checked on our table. Good recommendations for food. Great value for food.
