Such an awesome. Brought my best friend for her 50th birthday. Dinner was amazing..
Anthony’s Chophouse was a wonderful experience! We came here for a double date and the customer service was awesome! The food was outstanding and just so delicious. You get what you pay for and let me tell you it is so worth it! The steak is very juicy and flavorful you will not regret it.
It shows this place is trying to make a name for itself. This restaurant is beautiful, and a great hint to what the future of the Nugget holds. The service was bar-none, the best we have gotten in Reno/Sparks. Sean the server, was exceptional, professional and knowledgeable, which made our experience that much better. Great prices on food and drinks, and a very diverse menu with choices for everyone. This place should be putting The Nugget back on the map and a competitor for the best steak in town.. The food was actually better than any Steakhouse we have dined at in Reno/Sparks thus far. We will definitely be coming back to Anthony's again soon.
Everything was spectacular! The only thing that I could recommend is they enforce a dress code. People coming in wearing T-shirts and sweats really takes away the atmosphere. If they can afford the food, they can afford a dress shirt and pants. I’m not a snob by any stretch of the imagination, but they need to realize that they’re not getting hot dogs and a soda...
Other than that, like I said, awesome experience. My girlfriend loved it! Our waiter Oscar was top notch, a real gentleman!
Marnell has done an outstanding job creating a high end restaurant experience. Great ambiance. Excellent food and beverage with superb service. The staff was "over the top" friendly and attentive. I will be back.
A nice place for a romantic special occasion dinner or celebration. Food and service were excellent. Be prepared for a significant price tag. (Think the bargain wine deal for the evening was $105 a bottle.) Everything is a la carte. When you order your steak or lobster, the price is just for exactly that. If you want any side dishes, they are an extra cost. I will say we had two of the biggest baked potatoes I've ever seen. The dessert, Bananas Foster (delicious), was prepared with great flourish at our table and was enough for the four of us to share.
As always, we were greeted with such warmth and happiness by Operations Manager Art. He said he had a surprise for us, which turned out to be Solane Santi Valpolicella Repasso Classico Superiori 2012. Delicious! Art is always delighting us with such wonderful wine choices. Server Sheila served me their Chilean Sea Bass, which is unsurpassed in its flavor and consistency, and my husband got Chicken Parmigan served over angel hair pasta. Topped off with Vanilla Bean Creme Brule, we couldn't have been happier (though they will try at Anthony's Chophouse).
Birthday what a wonderful meal and service was excellent
They open at 5:00, so we had a reservation for 5:15. Not many customers in at that time so we had the servers pretty much to ourselves. Kyra was our waiter and she was outstanding! She was very professional, yet personable and attentive. We love the fact it’s downstairs from the casino and there is no smoke in the air. Love it and will continue to return.
The steaks were very tender. The servers were spectacular!
We hadn't dined at Anthony's Chophouse for more than a week, so were really ready to sample its cuisine again. As always, we were greeted by Operations Manager Art, and taken to our curtained booth, where our Veuve Cliquot Brut Champagne was chilling tableside, just as we requested. Server Sheila was very attentive, and I ordered Dover Sole Meunierre, which was cooked to perfection, and my husband ordered Seafood Risotto served over angel hair pasta. Both of us were delighted with our meals. We will certainly be back and urge you to try it too.
Very nice vinue, very good food, very good service. Pricey for the value of the experience.
Absolutely amazing! Joseph was our server and he was wonderful!
We had a reservation, but the restaurant wasn't crowded so it was probably not even needed. Despite not being crowded, we didn't get our food until over two hours after we sat down! It took forever to initially be greeted by our server and from there the progression was so slow that if it weren't for us being there with friends. We would have been extremely upset and complained!
Overall the ambiance is really nice, the steak was good, but it's way to overpriced. Probably won't go back but it was worth trying.
We were seated right away. Our server Nicole was gracious and very knowledgeable on the menu the specials etc. She was very attentive.
When our food came it was very well presented and tasted delicious.
We will definitely recommend and return.
Service and ambiance was fantastic. The food was pretty good. Though I found myself more excited about the bread than the steak since my steak was more done than I care for. The bread is that amazing, though.
The food was prepared perfectly. But the service was a wee bit slow. We had an 8:00pm concert upstairs to go to and got to Anthony's promptly at 5:45. But we didn't get served our food until 7:20 and had to eat it pretty fast in order to leave by 7:45. In all fairness, we did not let our waiter know we had a concert, so he might have been able to better time it. But we allowed plenty of time for a leisurely dinner and we didn't think we needed to tell him.
Had a fun birthday here. My filet was so tasty and they offered me a choice of desserts off the menu at no charge! I expected a remake of the now-closed steakhouse, but it was a completely new restaurant in a new location. They weren't very busy and the service was perfectly paced.
We had a great dinner. The food was excellent and service superb. Great wine selection. We will be back.
Great service. Great food. Lovely spot downstairs out of the chaos of the casino.
Superior menu, wide range of steak and side choices. It's Nirvana for beef lovers! A tableside manhattan is special. Rugged western interiors are true to Nevada.
Art is as always superior with guests, suggesting wines, banana foster, etc.. He always makes us feel comfortable!!!
We were so excited to try this new steakhouse and weren't disappointed. The ambience and decor in the restaurant are lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the onion soup and King crab. Yum! I had the Dover sole and we shared the scrumptios au gratin potatoes and then the delicous multi-layered chocolate cake for dessert. We loved our private booth, which made it easy to converse. Our servers were attentive and friendly. The only odd thing was that the man at a table across from ours had his dog with him laying right next to him in the booth. The dog did not seem to be a service dogs and was very quiet, but it seemd a bit odd at a such a high-end, elegant restaurant. We will defitenly be back and may bring along our Great Dane! :)
I love this restaurant. The food is so good. The ambiance is enjoyable. The service makes the dinner amazing. I have been there for dinner about 5 times and will keep returning.
Attended last week's wine dinner Moet & Chandon and Hennessy. What a great experience! Fantastic M&C and Hennessy tastings and perfect dinner pairings (5 courses). Julian you knocked it out of the park with the Duck Wellington! Great Job to entire staff - Thanks for another perfect night!
Excellent experience with a talented chef, wait staff and very pleasant setting. Location makes this a go-to venue for a great dinner. Also has a wonderful selection of wines.
Birthday not noted. Med rare steak came at medium.
It was a good overall evening. Started with a drink at the bar. Very nice bartenders. Wife and I enjoyed the ambiance. Horns on the ceiling, fun atmosphere. We got seated in a great both my wife and I enjoyed the privacy with the drapes drawn on our "date night". No kids, no cooking , no worries.... We had several bottles of Pinot Noir and the wine sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had the large filet and a pound of king crab, with some yummy side dishes... All were very nice, we were amazed how grumpy our waitress was. I literally asked her several times if she was alright. She replied yes but never even smiled no personality at all. My bill was just short of three hundred dollars and I left sixty dollars tip. If I had been treated even somewhat friendlier I would have left more. I understand everyone has bad days, but in the retail world you can't treat your customers like you are doing them a favor to dine at your establishment..... With Harrahs' steak house going away soon we were excited to find our weekly replacement. If we ever return I think we would elect to eat in the bar. I was happy about everything except our sever.. J.S.
The sides were a bit small and the steak was decent, but the service was great. We really enjoyed the ambiance, just hoping we had bad luck with our food this time.
Operations Manager suggested we try the Dover Sole, which was so delicious we wondered why we hadn't ordered it earlier. With all the wonderful choices we just hadn't thought of it, and now we are eager to try it again. Our bottle of Veuve Cliquot Brut Champagne was chilled to perfection at our table. Service at Anthony's Chophouse is fabulous, and Sheila did a great job. Even Jose who is the server assistant was there when we needed him. All in all a magnificent evening.
Overall it was great. Just a few things I would like to point out. I had made the reservation and specified it was a date. I requested a booth when one of the hostesses tried to sit us at a table. She gave me a bit of attitude and said “no, your server that’s next on the list only has a table.” I told her I would be more than happy to wait. She acted like it was an inconvenience, and I apologized, but the other hostess was really good and sat us at a booth immediately. Our server was Nichole. She was great. The food was good. My filet was prepared very well.
The Nugget has finally added a restaurant worth going to! Anthony's Chop House is wonderful, and doesn't even feel like you are in the Nugget. Great ambiance and wonderful selections that are cooked perfectly! We have been there 3 times now and the service just improves with each visit. Although it can be a little pricey, it is worth the money if you want an upscale experience.
This was my first visit and it will not be the last! It is a beautiful restaurant and I SO appreciate that the tables are not right on top of each other - plenty of room for staff to move around and I do not have to listen to anyone else's conversation. It was a Friday night and looked mostly full but was not noisy - a big plus in this town! ( I also noted they have several private booths if you really want a lot of privacy). The server, Nicole, was professional, attentive and personable. The menu has a good variety though I noticed no pasta dish. The wine list is extensive and very reasonable prices - NO over the top gouging! The clam chowder was creamy and tasteful, and the sea bass was perfectly cooked and delicious. Heads up about the veal parmesan chop: it is HUGE - my guess is it was about 16oz. And it was WONDERFUL. ( I needed a doggie bag - and it was still great warmed up the next day). For dessert, a perfect creme brule and chocolate souffle with chocolate sauce. Looking forward to going back soon!
Good food ,good service ,good value, my new place for a fun night out thanks Anthony.
Excellent first visit. Great bar in lower lobby. Little lag between courses—nothing major, although restaurant not full at the time. Excellent food at expected prices for a very good steakhouse.
Fabulous restaurant. The food, the ambiance, the service is exceptional. Operations Manager Art had our Peju Cabernet Sauvignon, decanting at our reserved table in a beautiful bottle. The reserved table was curtained and private. I ordered their delicious Chilean Sea Bass, and my husband ordered the 12-oz Filet Mignon, cooked exactly as he wanted. Their Clam Chowder was wonderful. We are spoiled by this restaurant and suggest you get spoiled by dining at Anthony's Chophouse too.
Food and service are definitely worth 5 stars. Oscar was our waiter and a pro to guide and spoil us through our first experience at Anthony’s. My wife had the sea bass and I had the special which was a filet mignon with some large succulent shrimp. All staff made us feel like they were there for us including the chef. Quality ingredients, perfectly seasoned and prepared. Most of all, we felt from the time we entered that everyone made the effort to make our occasion a very special evening. Fine dining that holds its own with almost any steak house in the country!
We had a delightful evening at the Chop House on Wednesday. Art, Johnathan, and Jose took extra special care of us. The Crab cake appetizers were delicious with the chimmichurri sauce. We split a yummy Caesar salad. Julian created my scrumptious Scampi. It was light, the shrimp were perfectly seasoned, and the angel hair pasta complimented the shrimp. Jim had the lamb chops, always a favorite of his, and they lived up to his expectations. The Justin wine was lovely, as was the glass of Rombauer Chardonnay, thank you Art.
Fantastic evening. The staff is focused on you and making sure everything is perfect Thank You!!
