Enjoy expertly-sourced fresh seafood, prime cut filets, ribeye and New York strip steaks. Have a classic cocktail or one of our 200 different wine selections; and an amazing array of side dishes and appetizers set against a backdrop of old-school steakhouse vibes with a modern lodge feel.
No negatives to talk about. A very enjoyable evening, great food, great service and they actually care about you!
Our server Joe was great. Very helpful, good service. The steaks were great, especially given the price. I got the Angus bone-in ribeye and really enjoyed it. The sommelier was very helpful as well. The wine selection had a number of very good options at reasonable price points, as well as good options at higher prices as well. Overall this place is very good and worth the trip through the casino floor.
Our dinner was just lovely. Art and Joe took such special care of us. The Caesar salad was delicious as was Jims lamb and my filet with the scampi. The Bordelaise sauce was so fresh and added scrumptious flavor to an already tender piece of meat. As usual, we can’t wait to come back to the Chophouse.
Nothing special here. Food was ok/good. It is very overpriced
What a delightful evening we had at Anthony's Chophouse! We ordered Chilean Sea Bass with succotash in a delicious sauce, and 12-oz Filet Mignon with Bearnaise Sauce. All of this was accompanied by a Brut Champagne that we enjoyed very much. We always feel welcome, and Operations Manager Art treats us as though we have come to his home. Sheila served us wonderfully. Try it, you won't be sorry. In fact, you'll be so glad you did.
Excellent service and quality of food. Generous portions!! We will be going back regularly.
We were excited to see a new restaurant in the Nugget. Decided to celebrate a birthday there with a finer dinner. The room is comfortable, nicely decorated, although a tad noisy as the acoustics are bad. We were greeted with smiles all around, from Hostesses to assistant servers, waiter and Maître' d. The prices were fair as finer dining goes. Would have seemed more fair if my lobster tail hadn't been broiled to rubber, blackened on the bottom! I was sooo disappointed. The baked potato was the size of a football. Needed a lot more butter etc as it was sooo huge. Maybe serve some extra on the side when they are so large. The creamed spinach was lackluster in flavor. No real flavor at all actually. The crab cakes were very good, large lump crab inside. And the scalloped potatoes were tasty. So, since the food was nothing to write home about we won't go back. Again, the servers were friendly and mostly efficient. Nice décor.
Operations Manager Art chose Mumm's Cordon Rouge Champagne for us, and it was really delicious. Hadn't had that for years, and we were so pleased he had it. Anthony's Chophouse's crab cakes were our wonderful appetizer. I ordered the Prime 8 oz Filet Mignon, it practically melts in the mouth. My husband ordered the Bone in Rib Eye Steak. It was no sooner served, then my husband ate it all up. He said he had been hungry. Our sides were steamed asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. All was topped off with their Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. We can hardly wait for our next meal there.
We, my wife and I, always like to try new restaurants which brought us to Anthony's. Arriving for our 6:00 PM reservation the escalator ride down to the restaurant gives everyone the chance to "make an entrance". Beautifully appointed there are seating options for every need; tables, booths and semi private dining. While the room is beautiful, it was also cold. Too cold. Fortunately it is winter in Reno and we had warm coats with us that we wore through the first half of the meal. Hopefully a one night glitch with the air handlers.
Our server, Joe was everything you would expect in upscale dining. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable and accommodating. Thank you Joe.
The menu is to the point. This is a chop house. The portions are sufficient that we could split an entree and a side which was more than sufficient for us. That and a wine list that had our favorites rounded out the evening. We'll be back to experience the difference between their choice and prime filets.
Brought two of my friends from out of town here. They absolutely loved and enjoyed their first trip to a steakhouse. The food was incredible and the service made everything much better. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
We made reservations for Thanksgiving, and had a wonderful experience. Art & Bruce managed the restaurant with great expertise. Oscar,Joe and Sam took great care of us. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations.
Spectacular restaurant. Fantastic steaks, excellent service. We ordered a bottle of wine that was half the price it would have been at the store. It’s a smoke-free environment
In the best Casino Hotel in Reno. Rustic elegance with great food and service.
First time at Anthony’s. We were celebrating our 35th. Joseph was our server and we enjoyed his kindness and humor. They treated us to a wonderful layered chocolate cake. Steak and seafood superb. Will definitely go back
Such a beautiful restaurant. It has amazing food, amazing service and great ambiance. Truly the whole package. My wife and I have been for dinner twice and we can't wait to go back.
Biggest disappointment is it seemed too loud. The restaurant moved downstairs so there was more noise from the casino. I also thought the bar area was loud. I thin maybe if the bar area wasn't so open, it might have been a little quieter. I will not let this deter me from coming back though. Food was excellent. I enjoyed the courses being spread out some. If you've never tried escargot, do it! I tried it for the first time. I didn't care for the puff pastry it was served with but it tasted excellent without it.
Our dinner was delicious! Our waiter was Sean, he made us feel like we were the only people there, thank you Sean, my husband had a great birthday!
Loved our waiter Oscar, then joe and Carlos were amazing. Hostess was great.
Was felt that manager treated us unprofessional. Otherwise overall experience was great.
It was our anniversary. We waited 1.5 hours before our dinner was served. Waitress was rude when we told her we needed our dinner soon and had 5 minutes to get to a concert and to please bring us the bill. We won’t ever go back.
We were so happy when Operations Manager Art told us Anthony's Chophouse was featuring Prime Rib that night. It was so delicious. Chef Julian really knows what spices to include in the marinade. Art brought us a wine we had never had before: Sands of Time Red Blend from the Staggs Leap Vineyards. We savored every drop. Anthony's Chophouse is the best steakhouse in Northern Nevada.
My husband and I had a wonderful, delicious dinner for our anniversary. Sean was fabulous. He took very good care of us. We will definitely be returning!
Sean was absolutely spectacular!!! Very memorable experience!!! Thank you very much!
We each ordered the special which was a prime beef cut with scallops, mashed potatoes and carrots.
Steak was a large cut, about 2 inches thick. Ordered mine med rare but more on the med side, hubby ordered med rare but more on the rare side. Both came out PERFECTLY done; meat was so tender and juicy. Scallops also perfectly prepared as were all the sides. Service staff were all friendly and attentive. Could not have asked for a better dining experience!
As always, Matre D, Art, created a memorable evening. The food is superior to every steakhouse in Reno. We will be returning, soon! Perfection!!
Tucked away in the Nugget's downstairs basement, this hidden gem has easily become my favorite steakhouse in town. I make my reservations through OpenTable with ease. The ambiance is very unique and warming. Service is consistently over the top. From Bartenders Ericka, Marley, and Jonathan to Servers Joe and Sean to Manager Art. All have made our dining experiences thoroughly enjoyable. The food always exceeds our expectations in flavor and presentation. I am yet to be disappointed. There are private event rooms available, as well as private dining booths equipped with televisions. Food is also conveniently served in the bar area. I highly recommend Anthony's for any occasion.
From the moment you enter the new and elegantly appointed Anthony’s Chophouse, you know you are in for a five-star experience! With Art at the helm, no detail is overlooked, and everything is perfection. We began our evening with drinks at the bar. They offer a great selection of wines by the glass and the expert and friendly mixologists, Marley and Jonathan, create delicious craft cocktails. The dining room is sophisticated, yet comfortable, and we were fortunate enough to be seated in one of their several private booths for two. Our server, James, was friendly, attentive, offered excellent suggestions to enhance our meals and provided impeccable service. Chef Julian never ceases to amaze, and this evening was no exception -- from the pan-seared scallop appetizer to the prime steak entrees, to the spectacular 24-layer chocolate cake, and everything in between. Art’s wine and pairing knowledge is second to none, and, as always, suggested the perfect wines to accompany our exquisite meal from their extensive and impressive wine cellar. Another incredible dining experience courtesy of Art and his team!
Food was disappointing. Especially for the price. It was ok but nothing special compared to other high-end steakhouses in Reno.
Food was fantastic! Sean was our waiter. Superb service from Sean. So genuine. We will be back.
Service was perfect, as usual! The food is amazing, never disappoints. Art and his staff are number one in everything they do! Anthony's Chophouse is a must!
My Wife’s Birthday
Food was outstanding along with our service from joe our waiter he was amazing 😉
I was excited to try this new Steakhouse at the Nugget! First off I am not a casino person so I was a little apprehensive about the location. Welcome to the 70’s...Dark floors, dark ceilings, dark booths, and lighting. We arrived for our 6:00 reservation and were seated. After looking through the menu we decided on calamari and seared scallops along with a half bottle of wine. That was the last we saw of our waitress for quite a while.. Finally after a long wait our appetizers arrived but no wine yet...it still took a while to get the wine even after our food was sitting on the table. Calamari was without flavor with too much breading. Seared scallops were cold. She put our wine in a bucket( it was already chilled enough), but far away from our reach so I assumed she would pour... Nope. I finally reached over and re poured my own wine. Salads took a long time, as well as entrees. My wife had the sea bass, and I had the seafood risotto. Sea bass was very salty, but the Risotto was quite good! After dinner we ordered the Key Lime tart.. No lime flavor , but plenty of whip cream... The check service took quite a while as well. Almost 2 1/2 hours later we left. Extremely slow service, no wine service, some problems on food preparation, and difficulty getting the check. The decor screams fine dining, but the attire, service and food screams just another casino restaurant. Our server was not up to the task although she was friendly, and outgoing, and the kitchen has its work cut out for them...
As an update to my review Art the Steakhouse Manager reached out to me by phone to inquire about my experience. I went into detail regarding my review, and he asked me to please come back , and re visit the restaurant again on another evening. He apologized for the food, and or service short comings assuring that these would not be an issue upon my next visit. He was very gracious, and we hope to visit again soon!
Excellent staff and delicious food. Bananas Foster made at your table. It's a must! A great evening for the price. And a wine list that is quite amazing. We were taken care of by Jose, Sheila, and Bruce Willis (yep that's his name). All were beyond great! We always look forward to chatting with the manager Art.
Anniversary dinner, the wine was excellent & the wine selection from their beautiful glass cellar is amazing. The food was perfectly prepared, service was great. We enjoyed a very nice dinner. Thanks Anthony’s Chop House!
The service was a bit slow, servers wasn’t attentive enough.
Awesome new restaurant at The Nugget in Sparks, NV. Excellent food and outstanding service. Enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much!
Sean, Art and Jose took great care of us. We had a wonderful booth, intimate and special. Jim had the chicken Marsala and said that it was delicious. I had the special: filet with sea scallops. It too was delicious. Thank you, Julian, for creating it with a smaller filet. Art, thank you for the Creme Brûlée. It is my favorite dessert and it was truly scrumptious!! Another wonderful dinner. Can’t wait to come back.
Just an amazing meal
If you are reno try this place
