What sets Anthonino’s apart from other authentic Italian restaurants on The Hill is the addition of Greek specialties to the extensive and eclectic menu. Influenced by their Italian father and Greek mother, owners (and brothers) Anthony and Rosario Scarato grew up having experienced the best of both cultures. Recognizing the finer points of each country’s cuisine, their goal in opening Anthonino’s was to craft a perfect mix of the best rich, decadent Italian dishes with classic, flavorful Greek fare.
Terrific from start to finish!!
Excellent Italian Restaurant on The Hill! Food, service, ambiance all terrific! Highly recommend.
Disappointed in the lasagna, too much cheese, not enough pasta or meat. Had to ask for bread. Toasted raviolis excellent as always.
You just cannot beat the shrimp scampi. Best ever. My friends and I seek out Anthonio's often.
Great place to enjoy "The Hill" for out-of-town college graduation visitors. Table was ready per the reservation time and the service and food was excellent. I had the kale ceaser salad and it had the most delicious black pepper dressing. I am still dreaming about it. I highly recommend Anthonino's Taverna.
Wanted to try because of the reviews, but in comparing Anthoninos to Mammas on the Hill, Mamas definitely came out on top. Especially comparing the world famous toasted ravioli. Anthoninos was good, just not great or inspiring.
We always choose Anthonino's for special occasions. The food is excellent and the staff is amazing. Of course we'll be back!
Some dishes were great and others were just average.
Everything went well as it always does at Anthoninos We go there quite often. the servers are great and very attentive to our needs. Everyone is very friendly and courteous. We recommend it to all our friends. Keep up the great work.
The food is so good. I had Palermo chicken and it was the best skinless chicken. I love food and I love chicken if fried, this was charbroiled and de-lish! The pizza is good and I tried the kale salad. I normally get house but it's changed some, need to chop lettuce more or change greens. Anyway, I had the kale salad and fell in love. Can't wait to return. Can't go wrong with any appetizers or Gyro sandwich!!
Great meal and service at Anthonino’s, the meat and cheese board appetizer was awesome, the highlight was the fig tapenade. Then I had the Puttanesca it was awesome.
We're from out of town but always make a point to eat at Anthonino's. Had reservations for 6 when they opened at 11 am. Two in our party ordered lasagna but later was told they were out. Surprised to be told this being the second party to be seated at opening. Already out of lasagna? Otherwise everything was good.
Food is great, casual on the hill. Pizza is awesome. Service is friendly and attentive
Worth the trip for the toasted ravioli. Everything else was good and my son loved the clams.
Great experience. The Spanakopita was special, and the dolmas were wonderful. Our waitress (Gretchen?) was great, and had an encyclopedic knowledge of the menu.
Gabby is awesome.
Toasted ravioli and marinara lived up to the hype as did the Spanakopita (layers of flakey phyllo with lots of spinach and cheese) with the yogurt sauce. Not so much the Gyro and sweet tzatziki. Suggest a tasting sample of the yogurt and house tzatziki if ordering any of the Greek menu items for the first time. Lasagna was cheesy with a nice Bolognese. Pepperoni pizza was awesome. Highly recommend a reservation. Gabby, our server was amazing!!
Delish Italian and great service!
Even though there was a fund raising event happening, the food and service was very good. Our server, Courtney, kept us informed when there were delays. She was friendly and professional.
Nothing bad about this place. Just had an absent minded server.
Anthonino's had an incredible Restaurant Week menu. Great food and great value. Easily the best toasted ravs in St. Louis. I wish the bacon-wrapped pork dish with apricot sauce could be on the menu all the time!
Great time and great food. Brought family here who were visiting from out of town. So glad we had a reservation because it was very busy.
I've been to Anthonino's several times before and enjoyed the experience, so this meal was disappointing. The salads were not good, lettuce past it's prime. Three out of four entrees at our table weren't up to par.
I may go back to see if this was on off night, not sure.
This is our favorite Italian restaurant in St. Louis, hands down. It has a comfortable, casual atmosphere. The food is outstanding, as is the service and the pricing. Fine dining Italian without the fine dining prices.
I was surprised and pleased to find that the entrees included a salad and starch. So many restaurants have raised their prices by going to an ala carte menu. The food was tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced. The portions were healthy, rather than oversized, which I appreciate. The ambiance was modern and pleasant. My only complaint is that the salad came with the entree and a charge for the salad showed up on our bill, even though the waitress said it would be removed. She said she had to enter the salad separately to ensure that it came out first, but that didn't happen. Made no sense at all.
Always excellent food and wonderful service! We love Anthonino's!
Great spot. Food was wonderful. Service could have been a little better.
Great service, great food, great friends. Restaurant week was a great experience.
We came here for Restaurant Week and boy did they deliver! The food was excellent and the service was quick and friendly. We always enjoy coming to Anthoninos and our last visit was no different. We will definitely be back again.
This place is always great! Service food and atmosphere.
The Toasted Ravioli’s are amazing!!!
Wonderful experience, will be back
Excellent food. The choice between Greek and Italian dishes was tough to make. We had a variety and everything was great.
The setting is definitely not intimate in any way, very noisy. The food was alright, I did not like the chicken parmesian or the mashed potatoes but my boyfriend loves his burger. It was expensive enough to warrant better food.
Superb food & value
Exceptional service and food. Very warm ambiance....Bit difficult if anyone has hearing problems
We enjoyed our meal overall. The pasta dish with anchovies did not have nearly enough anchovies. I was a little surprised that salad was an extra cost ption with the pasta dish. Noisy.
This strikes me as a restaurant that is riding on the momentum of former glory. Service was excellent but the food was tasteless. Its as if the chef lost his sense of taste and didn't add spices or salt to anything... except the dipping oil, that was pretty good. I sent the carbonara back in exchange for the meat balls and pasta. The carbonara tasted sour. The meatballs were bland. The marinara just was tasteless. My wife's scampi wasn't any better. We were there a few years ago and liked it. Not this time.
Chicken Marsala/Madeira was too sweet
Great pasta entrees and appetizers
