What sets Anthonino’s apart from other authentic Italian restaurants on The Hill is the addition of Greek specialties to the extensive and eclectic menu. Influenced by their Italian father and Greek mother, owners (and brothers) Anthony and Rosario Scarato grew up having experienced the best of both cultures. Recognizing the finer points of each country’s cuisine, their goal in opening Anthonino’s was to craft a perfect mix of the best rich, decadent Italian dishes with classic, flavorful Greek fare.
Always great food, great service, love Anthonino's!!!
Some of the best shrimp scampi I have ever had. My friends had a pasta dish and a chicken entree. We all loved our food. Shared chocolate gelato and cannolis for dessert. Everything excellent. The venue is a bit loud but totally fun.
Food was amazing and the service was great despite being busy. Loved it.
This place was recommended by a friend and we have been there several times now and consider it to be one of our favorite places. The food always exceeds our expectations 👍🏻👍🏻
Let’s Go Blues!
Great food and atmosphere as always!
The wait is always long, we still had to wait about 40 minutes even with reservations...always worth the wait though.
Staff was very friendly. The food was great! Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be going back on our next trip to St. Louis.
The service was good and the food was EXCELLENT. Will be back!
The Good-the food is always amazing.
The Bad-no matter what time your reservation is you will wait 15-40min to get seated after your reservation time. Speaking to a manager they admitted to taking too many walk-ins. Disappointed because the food is worth coming back for.
Food had no flavor. 4 of us ordered different thing and we all said the food was bland and not good
I generally love everything about Anthonino's. However, this time, we were there with a larger group than I usually go with, but not particularly large--just four adults when there are usually just two of us. The food was great, as always, and I love the ambiance. However, the service left something to be desired. We had to ask for water refills, the server didn't come back to check on us after food was served, and we would have ordered dessert, but by the time the server came by again, we just asked for our checks because we had already been there for two hours. It was unusually busy for a Monday evening, but I was not impressed with the service. I will say this was the first time that I've been when service has been an issue--and I've been to Anthonino's multiple times. I just hope poor service isn't a new trend.
The food was amazin and the service was good. The only bummer is we made a reservation and we still had to wait 20min - we normally would not care, we just had to be at a concert and it made us late. We ordered drinks when we were served food, and we never got them and had to get up and find the waitress to get our check. I will return and I give them a pass since it was Saturday night.
Food came out quickly,
Waitress was outstanding and the food was delicious m!
Everything was really good. From the time we walked in and was seated immediately to our waitress who was very good and very attentive. I LOVE the warmed bread and soft butter. Small but a very nice touch often overlooked at many other restaurants. Food was outstanding! I had the seafood tuttamare and the wife the veggie pizza. Both were really tasty! Can't wait to go back.
Always recommend Anthoninos...such a great menu with a taste for every palate. We have never been disappointed with the food or the service.
We've eaten here several times and always had great food and service. This time we took friends. We were a party of 8. We were seated early and our drinks and appetizers came out quickly. Then everything slowed tremendously. We waited a very long time for our food and some was not hot. One person ordered pasta Carbonara and it was not good. I'm not sure what the problem was but a couple of us tasted it to make sure it wasn't just her taste buds. Definitely had an off taste. Was totally bummed that it wasn't as great as usual. Especially since we bragged on it to our friends who had never been. Hoping it was just an off night!
Excellent food and service. It was a bit loud as we were seated near a waiting area where people were having drinks. Generally a great experience and we’ll definitely be returning.
Our waitress was nice but very slow to refill and not the most attentive. Her name was Angelina and she was from Italy.
Had a reservation. They set us in a section that the waitress was already crowed in that other sections weren't. Took an hour to get our food. To have a refill on a drink was hard since waitress was busy ended up just drinking the water. By the check came I was done with being there.
Food and service were great! Reservation system is easy to use and the hostess seated us right away. It was a bit noisy for us to carry on a conversation. Not sure that anything can be done about that.
Drinks and food were great. Our waitress Pierangela was friendly and efficient. Food was outstanding. We’ll be back!
The waitstaff was super nice, efficient and understanding (ended up reducing the price of one peron's meal after he complained). Have been here multiple times and always satisfied!
Great lasagna, fried ravioli, Greek salads, Chianti
This is my fourth time eating at Antonionos and it’s always great.
Service was great! Fried raviolis were amazing! Had a wonderful date. Thank you guys!
A must stop while in St. Louis. Great Italian food served with exceptional service. Reservations are recommended.
Great atmosphere had the Palermo chicken with baklava loved it! Surprised Merlot is not on the menu but found as nice substitute.
steak modiga was great. Very roomy and waitress was wonderful
Week night dinner with friends. Good wine, delicious salads and sandwich and pasta entrees. We passed on dessert. Table spacing/ would help ambiance. We were seated next to a large table with small children and there were multiple other options that would have been better suited for a table with of adults. Always a good choice for lunch or dinner.
First visit here. Delicious food and great service by Stephanie! Every course was outstanding; light and crispy t ravs, Greek house salad with wonderful dressing, fresh seafood in the ink squid pasta and tutti mare and creamy gelato to finish it off. Only downside was the lack of any atmosphere in the back room. Harsh concrete floors and only 1 divider for the huge room made it feel more like a fast food restaurant considering our $100+ dinner. Will definately return but will grab a booth in the front room.
We have been here numerous times and have loved the food, saturday was different.
Beef spedini was like beef jerky. Toasted ravioli were a bit over cooked too
Waitress rarely came to check on us and screw up our bill.
Very nice place to eat. Food was excellent and so was the service.
This restaurant is wonderful! The food is outstanding and our waitress Kristyn was amazing! My only complaint is having someone come by every few minutes with a IPad checking to see when you are leaving and telling the waitress how to break up our table as soon as we finally got up. We had several courses during our meal including wine, appetizers, dessert, and coffee and was not over staying our reservation.
In the past the food was good at this restaurant. I had a gyros sandwich and the meat was totally dried out, like they left it out too long under heating lights it was like jerky. The lasagna by husband had was very watery. Our friends liked their cheese ravioli and chicken gyros but did not rave about it. Overall not a great eating experience.
food was great....not crowded due to they were taking reservations, but the server was overwhelmed...she had too many tables in her section!
Enjoyed a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. Sam took great care of us. She was very attentive and informative throughout our entire dining experience. We will definitely be back to try more great food!
We are always pleased with the staff and the food quality at Anthonino’s. For Valentine’s Day we made reservations for an early meal. And it was so good. The Dolmathes are always a favorite.
We were here for Valentine's Day on a 5:00 reservation and seated immediately. Might just be good timing, I don't know, but in any case it was damn fast. We came to Anthonino's not only because of the food - which we remembered from our last visit - but because of the service.
The 4-meat pizza here is freakin' unbelievable. I had it a long time ago and I've told several people about it, because it's that good. Loaded. Cheesy. And no skimping on the meat. It's MAYBE a little pricey, but this ain't Pizza Hut, and I went home with half of it in a box because it was so filling. My wife felt the same way about pizza, though she couldn't finish as much as I could. They really are filling. Nice thin crust, little puffy on the edge, tasting like they came out of a brick oven. Outstanding.
By the way, these folks are polite. At least, the staff we've always had are, and polite goes a long, long way with me. I hate eating in a place that thinks it's doing you a favor, and this is NOT like that. Here, even the busboy asked us how our meal was while he cleared a few things... Polite. I like it. And our server - a very pleasant young lady (Angelina? I know I messed that up, but I'm close) - was right on the money. Timed her visits well though she was clearly busy, refilled my wife's tea at half empty, and said Thank You more often than I did. Exceptional.
This place will become one of your go-to places. A little informal, bar upfront, nice high ceilings... I've seen some complaints about the acoustics, but my wife and I are both TECHNICALLY seniors (I hate calling myself old) and we had no trouble whatsoever hearing each other or our server. It's casual/classy. Don't know what I mean by that? That's a good reason to go check it out. (BY THE WAY, parking isn't great, but we've never had a problem parking on a side street, and never had any problem in the neighborhood).
