The salmon was overdone and the service was slow.
Anthonie has down an amazing job making is restaurant a warm, cozy, relaxing place with high quality food and a wonderful menu. Everything it exceptional on this menu. It is me and my husband’s “happy” place.
Wait staff great- helpful, patient, knowledgeable. Yummy food
Service was great. Fish, apps, drink selection, dessert were all fantastic. Was disappointed on the steak (ribeye) it was tough.
We love Anthonie’s! Sat on the patio on a rainy night - had a great steak and some tuna poke. Always great here. Excellent waiter - football player for the U of Houston. Nice to see young folks with personality, confidence and ability.
Beautiful setting and ambience! We had the best time celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday. THANK YOU for being face friendly, the main reason we chose to visit. We will return for sure many times over!
We really enjoyed a fabulous dinner here- the specials were snapper both were delicious! The teriyaki steak was outstanding as all 3 dishes were elegantly prepared, tasted marvelous and look forward to our next visit.
It was great as usual. The Spanish guitar was a real nice bonus on a Tuesday evening.
Anthonie’s was a great place. The service, food, and atmosphere were all perfect. It was exactly what we were looking for and we will be back.
Love anthonies, it’s our favorite place to eat. Will be back.
Late Sunday reservation for date night! Excellent food and atmosphere!
We love Anthonie’s! We enjoy starting off with camp rolls. Trust me you want me sorry you did! They have the garlic butter that is so good! I know it’s unusual to think of grill place having great pizza, but let me tell you their basil and cheese pizza is one of, if not the best pizzas I have had! Their garden salad is fantastic! Their steaks will have you wanting to lick the plate to get every last drop of goodness! If you go home hungry, it’s on you! You should go enjoy a bottle of wine, a great dinner and meet some great people!
Great food, lively atmosphere, always a good choice!
We found this gem on our drive back from seeing Bluebonnets in Brenham. It is far enough from Houston to feel like another world but close enough to make it a doable destination. The food is worth it and the ambiance is friendly and relaxed.
Our waiter, Robert, was slammed on the outside patio (it was quite busy for a Sunday afternoon) but managed to take care of us very well and did not miss a beat.
All of our entrees were really good, but the star of the show was the coconut cream pie (best one I have ever had)! If you are in the area, stop in... you won't regret it.
Our favorite restaurant in the Houston area, and we go there often.
Always great food! We love the patio
$45 redfish special was way overpriced
Very small fish filet. Pork chop was bland on pork chop plate. Spent $200 for a mediocre meal and drinks
We went for our anniversary dinner last Saturday night. Everything was awesome as usual. The only thing was we had a “Karen” sitting next to us. She was just n happy with how long her food was taking. She needs to realize she was in a busy restaurant at peak dining hours. It was very distracting. When the manager came over they had a long talk. I was hoping she would have just asked them to leave. Other than her killing the vibe we had a great dinner.
Food is always amazing. Ambiance is wonderful. Staff is always great. Few more kids than usual this time, probably Largely due to where we were seated. Other than that it’s is always amazing. Our go to special treat place.
The food was really good, but IMO took too long to come out. We were seated outside but it was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk and that was very annoying. Not quite as relaxing a dinner as I'd hoped.
Love the place. Outside was a bit loud. Tables close together.
Anthonie's never disappoints! Wonderful food, service and atmosphere.
Incredible food and service. As always.
We came in town from CA to visit family for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner at Anthonie’s. Food was great, cocktails were delicious, and service was outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Wedding engagement party
Lovely place to enjoy a great meal and the beautiful weather.
We had been wanting to try Anthonie’s and Went for our anniversary. Everything was great. So glad we went. Our waitress Leah was fabulous, she made meal suggestions.
As usual, Chef Dekker laid out a great menu! The crab ranchero was excellent as was the gumbo. The triple berry iron skillet dessert was outstanding. Finally, our waiter Robert provided excellent service.
Enjoyed very much. First time to visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
Food quality average, very loud in outside dining area, waitress was attentive a d personable. Wine overpriced.
This was my second time to visit Anthonie's. First visit last December was exceptional. This time, not so much. Food was not as good - I thought my meal (shrimp & grits) tasted like it had sat under a hot lamp for a while - not fresh. Restaurant was much more crowded this visit and service, noise level & food quality reflected that fact.
This is a nice restaurant with a good menu and a nice atmosphere, but I fear the increased patronage volume has lowered standards. Be careful Anthonie's, don't let a good thing get away from you.
I will recommend this restaurant, but with aforementioned caveats.
Lovely evening. Excellent service. Best in the area for fine dining.
Love this place! Food and ambience is wonderful. Great service!
We sat inside in front of the wine storage. During most our meal, 2 staff stood immediately behind us inventorying and discussing the wine. Definitely distracted from the ambiance and privacy of our table.
What can you say, other than everything and everyone was AWESOME.
I went to Anthonie's with my husband for the first time celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. It was nothing short of spectacular. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Our server was awesome, made so many recommendations and provided us all the chefs special for the day. We had the lamb ribs and it was some of the best I ever tasted. Our server also gave us a complimentary happy anniversary piece of cake! We will definitely return to Anthonie's in the future. Thank for you for wonderful experience on our special day.
What a great diamond in the middle of nowhere. It was the best time I have had all year, Food+, Service+, Atmosphere+, Overall XP+, if it was just a tad less expensive would make this a 2-3 a week visit. I Highly Recommend it!!
I think Anthonie's is one of the best restaurants around. We had the Shrimp Sampi and a gouda flambe pizza. Both were excellent and we look forward to returning.
Our waiter was not around. I had also asked for lemon for my tea and he never delivered so I had to ask someone else. Food was good, but won't be going again.
Husband and I went for date night on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it! Live acoustic guitar music on the patio was great. When I went inside to use the ladies' room, I noticed that the restaurant does have a "smokey" smell from the wood-burning grill. Not unpleasant if you don't mind a "campfire" smell; and if you do, then just sit outside! The patio is huge and has awnings for shade, fans, and heaters for those cooler days. There is a large grassy area off of the patio where several kids were running and playing. I think we'll bring our kids next time so they can romp while we enjoy a cocktail. If you're in the mood for something quieter/more romantic, just ask for a table away from the yard. As for the menu, I recommend trying the Old Fashioned cocktail (delish and a generous pour) and the gouda pizza. So good!
