You could be sure to expect the best when you come to AnTalia, As the owners are a part of the daily operations. Service is being taken care of a manager who owns the restaurant, food is being deliciously prepared by a cook who also owns the restaurant. How can you go wrong?
AnTalia Restaurant serves authentic Turkish dishes in the midtown area. The pre-theater crowd loves there Prix-Fixe menu that serves 3 course meals for only 24.95. This lovely restaurant serves its guests in two floors. Second floor is a great way to have a private party or dine quietly.
We came from south Jersey and had dinner early here on a Saturday before seeing the tree. There was only one other table in the dining room so it was very quiet which is surprising because the food was amazing! The flavors reminded me of my childhood when my mother used to cook for me, you can definitely tell that the chef uses quality ingredients. The service was spot on, and I’m definitely saddened by the fact that indoor dining will again be closing. I hope this restaurant survives the pandemic because we will definitely be back!
Our server was very attentive & the food was soooo delicious!!
Our family stopped by for a quick lunch, but we ended up spending a good amount of time ordering drinks and food. Everything was delicious, the host made us feel so warm and took care of us really well. Definitely recommend this lovely find. Rare to see such exceptional service unlike some other busy manhattan restaurants. Okra casserole was the highlight - it’s a must try for vegans and vegetarians. We’ll definitely be back here!
Amazing food and a very good service
Thank you for a great meal. You treated our small group really well.
Amazing place for dinner, portions were generous, the ambiance was so fresh and inviting. It surprised me that it was so affordable although in a prime location. Definitely 5 Stars!
Best Kofte ever!!!! Really enjoyed the dinner and hummus appetizer!
Food was authentic, tasted wonderful, and reasonably sized portions for the lunch special price. Servers were extremely attentive, but service overall was slow because the restaurant was full - and also because it appears (like many restaurants these days) they had to focus a lot of attention on delivery orders.
Food was good, service was excellent. However, first impressions not so much. Almost no tables visible from
Street and front entrance looked less than appealing so we started thinking about going to another restaurant. Glad we stayed as once you get past the front the primary restaurant was warm and appealing. Curb appeal could be improved.
I love this restaurant. The food is outstanding and the portions are plentiful. The owners and staff are very welcoming. I have been their twice and the waiters are attentive and professional. The feeling of the place is low key. Of all the restaurants that I go to in NYC, this is my favorite. Go to the restaurant. I promise that you will not be disappointed.
Still find this a wonderful restaurant near the heart of the Broadway Theater District. Great prix fixe choices. Enjoys the Turkish meat balls this time. Love the wine list. Moderately priced.
Beautiful, flavorful Turkish food. Enjoyed my night with friends and would return to AnTalia in the future.
Hi there, So happy to hear you had a great experience at our restaurant and delighted to hear you will be back soon.
Excellent lunch. Three of us shared a bunch of mezes that were delicious and fresh, as well as soups, Turkish rice pudding and Turkish lemonade. The service was kind and attentive and the restaurant (and bathroom!) were clean and tidy. It's not fancy - hard table, no tablecloths - so go elsewhere for a special meal but it's a great place for a midtown meal and close to the theatre district.
Excellent food and drinks. Great Spanish rosé wine! Super prix fixe choices.
Hi Bruce, Very happy to hear you have enjoyed our wine list! Hope to serve you again with us,
The food was amazing! Best Baba Ghanoush we ever had, and the grape leaves were incredible too. The hummus was the perfect blend of creamy and chunky, great texture. The chicken kabobs were tender juicy and plentiful definitely enough to share especially after appetizers. Tzatiki was flavorful, only complaint was we wanted more(which our waiter was happy to bring) also enjoyed the spicy red sauce, though not sure what it was. We would definitely recommend this place for a quaint relaxing dinner with family and friends.
Hi there, Glad to hear everything tasted on point and we made such a remark. Hope yo serve you many more different dishes in the near future.
We shared the cold mezze and two main dishes between 4 adults.... there were leftovers in the olate.
All the food was lively and portions quite generous. The only fault was the noise level. They need to absorb more of the noise between tables. Add fabric. Place rugs. Something to adjust the acoustics.
Service was very nice. Beyond attentive and timely.
Hey there, We are delighted to hear the food and the service was great for you, We will certainly work on the acoustics in the restaurant to make sure we keep the noise level is on a moderate level. Hope to serve you again in the near future
This popular spot was busy on Christmas night. We ordered the appetizer sampler for the table an individual main courses. The lamb burger was delicious, as was the lamb kebab. We ordered pickled vegetables which provided a nice complement to the spicier dishes. The location was in a high traffic area. I wouldn’t take a cab to the door next time I go during the holidays. The service was attentive without being intrusive.
Hello, We are delighted to hear you have enjoyed our food and service, Hope to serve you again in the near future.
Good Turkish/ Mediterranean food, fair prices, clean and good service.
Hey Peter, Thank you for all the compliments, would love to serve you again soon. Happy holidays and a new year!
Great gem of a place. Food was the best Turkish I've ever had
Hello, Amazing to hear you enjoyed everything. Happy holidays and a new year!
Authentic food!
Wonderful restaurant! Great food and service! Perfect for date night!
Hello, Great to hear you had a good experience. Happy holidays and a new year!
Went for a normal lunch. Food took forever. Service was poor as one appetizer didnt come out waiter never stopped to refill water and items took too long
My wife and I loved AnTalia—great food, great service, nice ambiance, sure to go back
My friend and I had a full appetizer spread with bread but the dishes that stood out to me were the Baba Ganoush and Pink Sultan. I am not a huge fan of beets but it was prepared different from what I am used to, it was very creamy. The Baba Ganoush had such great flavor and was a great compliment to the bread. The Turkish bread was crunchy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside. It was very addicting, I couldn't get enough of it. For drinks we had Red Sangria which was full of different fruits, I enjoyed it.
For our entree we opted for the Salmon in Vine Leaves and Chicken Shish Kebab. The salmon and chicken were flavorful and very juicy.
Overall I had a good experience at this restaurant. The presentation of every dish shows that they pay attention to detail. The staff was attentive and made me feel welcomed. Hopefully next time I’ll try their Gyros and rice pudding!
The best Turkish restaurant in NYC - super delicious lamb kebabs ever, great service and the best value for money! I will dine at this amazing restaurant every week if at all possible!
Great food and service. I was dining alone, but I never felt lonely. I will definitely go
back.
Hey Gabriela, You are never alone when we are here :), So happy to hear you enjoyed your visit. Hope to serve you again
The hummus was great. The red lentils in wrappers was great. In fact we ordered more of each for our table. Will definitely go back
Hey Ken, Glad to hear you enjoyed your appetizers, hoping to have you try our more of what we can offer.
AnTalia is a favorite of my friends and I. We love the food, they have a nice wine list, the room is pleasantly comfortable, and the service is always excellent.
Good quick meal before the theater. Have eaten here before and the food is always fresh and tasty.
Prix fix dinner is an excellent value. Food was prepared well and very tasty
Loved the new decor! The ambiance was really inviting, fresh and bright. Cant say enough about the food, The flavours were just there, enough herbs, enough salt, and so fresh. The wine menu looks very large as well, great choices from the Mediterranean. We tried the Ancyra Turkish red wine and it accommodated our meals very well.
Hi Emilliano, So happy to hear you enjoyed everything. We hope to have you back again in the near future. Thank you for all the compliments
Food was OK not great. It’s pretty expensive relative to the flavor and uniqueness of the dishes. I would have been happy at about 50-60% of what I paid, which was a buck and five for two entrees (one veg), a three-item veg appetizer assortment, a beer and two bevs. Atmosphere is nice and service good. We were there around 6 on a Saturday.
Hello David, We appreciate your feedback, Thank you very much for considering our restaurant to visit. We also suggest trying our "Pre-Fix Dinner" which is 3 course meal for 31.95. (Appetizer, Entree, Dessert, Coffee or Tea). Hope to see you with us again.
This is one such a lovely restaurant. Being a Turkish food fan I would highly recommend this spot, the spices and the herbs used were very authentic. The Turkish gyro was nothing different than the one I had in Istanbul/Turkey. They compliment you this Turkish bread with home made olive paste and start serving you slowly from appetizers and entrees. At no point there was a rush, staff is well aware of hospitality. It was great having a conversation with them. The ambiance is really bright and beautifully modern. Highly recommend this to friends.
Hello Ellen, We cant thank you enough for the compliments. Thank you for taking the time to write your feelings. Hope to serve you again.
This was my third visit to AnTalia. The first two times, I enjoyed the food, which was well-prepared and delicious. This third time, I noticed that the restaurant space got a nice makeover, but the Iskender kebab I ordered was the worst I have ever tasted. It was not presented well on the plate and it was a complete disappointment. The lamb was sliced scraps that were overcooked and tough, the yogurt was cold and was not integrated into the dish, and there was one wedge of tomato. It looked like the food was thrown together and that the cook did not actually know what Iskender kebab is supposed to be. Terrible. The waitress was very nice, but I will not be visiting this place again. Very sad.
Hello Peggy, Thank you for the precious visit and the honest review. We will do our best to work on this particular dish to see what may have went wrong as its one of the dishes that gets a lot of compliments. Hope to serve you again in the near future.
The food and service are wonderful. Fun place for a dinner before a show. We were there around 5:30 on a Friday. The 3 course dinner at $31 is well worth it.
Great find! Went to this restaurant for lunch and it was wonderful. The food was freshly made and very tasty, good service and the price tag was extremely reasonable. This is a great lunch spot if you are in midtown.
Very nice appetizers and wine! Pleasant staff. Nice place!
As always, an excellent meal at Antalia. There are few classic spots left in midtown and Antalia never disappoints. It is also very reasonable.
Most disappointed with service especially during a work day lunch...staff was busy talking among themselves .... Food was consistent excellent hummas
Hello Vee, Thank you for your compliments on our food, We will be sure to have a staff meeting about personal conversations during lunch hours. Hope to serve you again in the near future.
