Served in a modern and eclectic setting, the Annapolis Smokehouse is putting a new twist on barbecue. We serve all of the traditional favorites like brisket, ribs and pulled pork with all the sides you expect, plus some items you may not expect like lightly smoked crab cakes, pulled pork pierogies and nachos made with fresh, hand cut potato chips and smoked tomato salsa. We feature daily specials that will push the boundaries of barbecue, while maintaining the traditional standard of meat smoked "low and slow". We look forward to seeing you!

Awesome food, great service. You have to accept that this place is serving food and drinks, atmosphere is towards cafeteria style. Fast and loud, but great people. Food quality overrides everything. Try the ribs or the sampler!

My husband and I have been going here for the past few years. Up until this visit the menu, food, and wait staff were on point. Now we return after about six months and the menu changed, atmosphere, and quality. The smoked wings were over cooked and did not appear to be actually smoked but over baked. I ordered a margarita which was served in a water glass filled to the top with ice. When I mentioned this to the waiter he replied that he didn’t make the drink. I said I don’t want another drink or discount on the bill. I’ll just not ever return.

It’s now a tavern so that may explain the difference in what we experienced.

Consistently good food. Brussels sprouts weren't good ; they were undercooked and crunchy. Also the bbq chicken isn't great. Its always loud because nothing is upholstered and there are no curtains or other soft fabrics to absorb noise. Its also cold in there in winter. But go for the food.

Good and reliable. Brussels sprouts tend to be under done and it's kind of cold and noisy. Otherwise this is one of our go to places.

They remember you, even if you haven’t been there lately. We took a hiatus after a poor experience, which I previously wrote a review about. This visit renewed our faith and commitment. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Our waiter was efficient, delivering the right amount of attention. The food was exactly as expected, great smoked meats that are the best in the area in my opinion.

At this point I have been to the Smokehouse a number of times for either dinner or brunch. This time I was here for a late brunch. They are a little better and I appreciate this spot a little more every time I come here. Got the smoked salmon benedict. They do not cheat you, you get a fork full with every bite. Also got the pulled chicken sandwich and naked wings. The chicken sandwich was very good. Truly pulled chicken, a selection of sauces, great. The naked wings are cooked without a sauce but you can toss or dip them with anything at the table. The wings are as good as anyone's and I do mean anyone. Another day!

Great barbecue and brisket. Loved the beet salad with mandarin oranges and goat cheese . Service was quick. Price was reasonable. Friday night - very noisy place during happy hour. Our only complaint was that we were seated by the window and some individuals were on the outside seating area smoking. While we couldn't smell the smoke, it wasn't something we wanted to look at while eating.

Food was OK, not as great as I expecting. Had the shrimp & Grits. Shrimp was overcooked and the grits bland. Husband had the Whiskey salmon. Moist but not much flavor. Probably Atlantic salmon which doesn't have much flavor to begin with.

First time but loved the food,especially the Manhattan Crab! My husband & friend got the last two blackened swordfish (special that the waiter recommended) with crab rice & loved it! My drink, a Malibu Bay breeze with light ice, was perfectly made so I had 3. Believe it or not, this is very rarely made correctly. The only downside was the dessert, apple pie, seemed over baked & the crust was very dry, not buttery & flaky. Comments were that this place is a keeper, thanks.

Great BBQ! Their strength is the meat! Excellent ribs, tasty and fall-off-the-bone. Their chicken is also excellent. There are several great sauces, including a delicious cherry Memphis style sauce.
The sides were very good, although pretty standard. The Mac and Cheese was creamy and delicious. The potato salad was interesting although it had a lot of mustard and maybe hot sauce. The corn bread was so-so.

Brought friends to the Smokehouse for the excellent bbq. The brisket is excellent. Quick and efficient service. A little chilly under the blowing airvents. Wear a jacket even in summer.

We booked an on-line reservation for a Friday night pretty late in the day, but got a table and were seated promptly on arrival. Our server was friendly and attentive. The kitchen was a bit slow but it was primetime on a Friday night so you allow for that. My wife and I both had brisket and it was really, really good - very tender, smoky, and just the right amount of fat. The collards and baked beans were both very good as sides. When in Annapolis we will definitely come back.

We discovered Annapolis Smokehouse while browsing for restaturants that serve barbecue and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located in a strip mall in the Eastport section of Annapolis. Very pleasant atmosphere -- we had lunch here and both the greeter and server were very attentive. There is a lunch menu, full menu and beer/wine list. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my companion ordered the kielbasa sausage lunch platter. Both were excellent! The meat in my pulled pork sandwich was very tender and the accompanying cole slaw made a pleasant side, along with the hand cut chips. There were six sauces on the table so diners can have their pick of what sauce (with appropriate level of heat) they prefer. All in all, a pleasant experience for lunch and we will definitely go back there again.

We were disappointed. It took longer than expected to get seated although there were open tables available. The food took an exorbitant amount of time to arrive and it was cold when we received it. The waitress was quite abrupt and rude. The service was slow and poor. My husband got sick and was in the bathroom all night after our visit.

Brunch was great on Father's Day. Food was terrific with lots of yummy flavors. Be sure to try the sauces at the table. Server was helpful but not 100% the friendliest or most attentive but fulfilled our needs. Price of food compared to quality was excellent.
