Food was really good, sat in the front half for the first time and there was an incredibly loud, obnoxious group of guys that unfortunately affected our night. No fault of the restaurant but I’ll request the back from now on.
Great meal, service and ambience. Our group of 4 had a wonderful dinner.
We ordered clam and gnocchi... the dish was served late (much later than the rest of our order) and there was no gnocchi.
Service was a bit slow and we were seated in a busier part of the restaurant. Having a young child, our spot was not the most ideal.
Best evening- our server Wes was amazing and was so great in helping us to have a great experience at Anju. The food speaks for itself along with the creative cocktails. It all came together for a fun time with GFs.
Fabulous food and service! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with you. Loved the Soju experience and the KFC!
Service was excellent and food was amazing
The service was very good and our server was attentive and made good recommendations. The food was outstanding for the most part, with a couple of dishes that could were slightly below expectation, but I'm just being picky here. Overall a great experience and will come back.
Very popular small plates restaurant that likes to encourage alcohol drinks along with the dishes chosen. Korean food is featured and every dish was very interesting and tasty.
Delicious food presented beautifully with kind and helpful staff.
We loved our meal here! Great food and service, we will come again.
The soup that comes with the Bento box was too salty.
The oxtail tortellini and KFC sliders were our favourites. A great place for small-plate sharing.
Lovely dinner, great service and pleasant atmosphere. Happy to go back again.
We shared the White Tiger Roll (Baek Ho Kimbap), Crispy Tofu (Dubu Kimchi), and my friend also had the Oxtail Tortellini (Sogori Mandu) and all of it was delicious, thoughtful, and so beautiful. I can't wait to come back and try more food!
Food was quite tasty except service was intermittently slow. Waited over 10 mins between plates. This put damper on our evening. All of a sudden last 3 dishes came in at once after we complained. And the table next door to us was served well b4 us and they arrived after us. Very annoying especially since this was supposed to be a special occasion for our sons graduation celebration. Probably wouldn't go back here for a special occasion, but maybe for a casual one
This was our first visit to Anju but we’ll be back. It was fantastic.
We brought my mom here for Mother's Day and the experience was superb. The food was a bit on the spicy side, but still delicious. Leave room for desert!
Dynamic and delicious menu well explained
By knowledgeable and engaging staff. Perfect end to a great Mother’s Day!
Great food, fun vibe and super service. Will definitely visit again.
Everything that we ordered were flavorful but the serving size is small for how much they charge for it.
The food at Anju is very good. It's a little on the pricey side but the portions are large. The waitress recommended 2 sharing plates per person, but with the three of us we would have been sufficient with 1 per person and one extra. Perhaps we are smaller eaters. The atmosphere is lively and fun. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a quiet place to eat, it is quite noisy but it adds the the excitement of the atmosphere.
Overall, lovely dinner for Mother's Day. Great service and food recommendations by the waitress. I would highly recommend this recommend this restaurant. The food and service was fantastic!
One of my favourite restaurants in the city! Brussels sprouts never fail to impress! Shane and Jessica were fantastic!
In a world of crappy service it is so refreshing to dine at Anju where the food is great and the service is exceptional! Thanks for a lovely evening
Mom came to town!
The brussel sprouts, oxtail tortellini, and crispy tofu with kimchi were amazing. Wasn’t a huge fan of the squid ink fried rice because it was incredibly salty. We’ll be coming back to try more dishes!
Have been here many times at the old and new location and love it here. Food is always amazing and the service was great. I get excited anytime I get to come here.
Everything was great!
We came for a friend’s birthday and weren’t disappointed. All the plates are designed to share and everything we ordered was excellent. The favourite was the KFC slider! Great service too!
Excellent food, well thought out. Service was wonderful, you could tell she loved what she was recommending and we always appreciate that. Food was well put together and packed with flavour. The oxtail tortellini was awesome and the pork belly crunchy tofu with kimchi was delicious. The dessert was the perfect way to finish off and looked like like a little piece of art with the pineapple flowers.
Can’t wait to go back and try more on their menu. Would love to see this concept in Edmonton!
This restaurant is excellent in accommodating gluten allergies.
Met up with old friends neither of which had been to Anju! Great food, fantastic server (Jessica), very fun night! Always a favourite of mine and we were not disappointed! 5 stars!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall alright. Food was better service. Expensive for portion size.
Portions were much larger than we anticipated so we definitely ordered too much. Our server was so great. Knowledgeable in the dishes, and really was enthusiastic about the food there. We enjoyed his time, and he was always around but let us have our conversations.
Loved the space and the atmosphere. Would have scored the food higher but we were so gull we didn’t really get to enjoy the last two dishes lol.
Definitely going back!
Interesting food. Sort of small share type dishes. Everything was quite good, good enough that I'd return and recommend it to others. Don't really understand how food sequence is determined. The very last dish was one we ordered from appetizer section. Overall a decent experience.
So good as always! Joined a friend for her first Anju visit & ordered all my favourites: brussels sprouts, crispy tofu, KFC sliders, and oxtail tortellini. She LOVED it (duh)!
Our first time at Anju, but not our last! This place is amazing. The food is full of flavour, and the cocktails are unique.
Four of us shared six plates: spare ribs, bi bim bap, lamb potstickers, brussel sprouts, oxtail ravioli, and 1/2 order of chicken waffles. There were no leftovers, but we were too full at the end for dessert.
All the food was excellent, with the brussel sprouts and bi bim bap being favourites. The chicken and waffles was the least favourite as it seemed out of place for a Korean restaurant. The waffles were a bit dry, but the chicken tasted like chicken made by a famous Colonel. Quite delicious - just out of place to the other flavours.
I was a little annoyed that our "still" water was charged on our bill at $1 each. I'm not sure any other restaurant charges for plain water. That was a bit of a cash grab.
Second time at Anju and tho the food is consistently really very good, we noticed the service is consistently really slow... as in 20mins for each drink to make it to the table after being ordered.
The restaurant itself is very inviting. The decor is nice and the ambience is very energetic. Now onto the food! We loved all the small plates. Tried the oxtail tortellini, chicken wings, white tiger roll and lamb dumplings. Absolutely delicious! Tofu would have been great too if they used soft silken tofu instead. And then all the large plates were a disappointment. We had the lettuce wraps, the traditional bossam is way better. The fusion they tried to do here did not work. Also the fried chicken was definitely burnt. The batter was so dark, I’m surprised they still served it. Left a really bitter taste in my mouth. And the curry ramen nest, we did not enjoy the crunchy ramen noodles that came with it. The flavor was good though. So definite some hits and misses.
The service was great. Really like the open concept. Favourite dishes we tried where the crispy tofu and the oxtail tortellini.
Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Amazing taste and great service. Be willing to pay for the experience. You pay for what you get.
