Dinner with friend - we sat outside and the night was perfect. Started with hummus, shrimp kebab and both were very good. No doubt I’ll be ordering the hummus again (and again and again). We shared the beef entree with roasted tomatoes (so sweet!) and potatoes. Also had Brussels sprouts on the side. Again, fantastic. There wasn’t one thing that we didn’t enjoy. Will be going back for dinner again for sure.

Very nice place, wait staff were very nice and attentive without being bothersome. Menu is limited but there’s something for everyone. We shared several things including the hummus (quite good), the bacalao fritters and the shrimp kebab (perfectly cooked). Wine by the glass was limited but what I had was good, my wife did not have a glass because of the limited offerings. All in all it was a very nice dinner and we’d both recommend and return to Anise.

There are some weird reviews about people being concerned that the pool is adjacent to the restaurant and there is a lot of foot traffic... WrONG! Lovely view. Big open spaces. Fantastic design. Loved it. Also, I can tell that Anise listens to the reviews. Someone complained about the hummus and it was amazing for us. We added the eggplant and it was fab. The brussel sprouts were great. The lamb was great. The drinks were good, but the Missus found the Negroni to be a bit strong. Service we fast, efficient, but I think our waitress will be quitting the industry shortly (seemed unhappy with the job, which is okay).

Last night was our first time dining at Anise. We went for restaurant week, and the food and service were excellent. The only disappointing factor was the wine pairings that didn’t really pair with the food. We were given a full red wine to pair with chicken and fish dishes. It appeared that the “wine pairings “we’re really just a set flight of wines. We will certainly go back to the restaurant, but won’t be doing the “wine pairings”.

We enjoyed the pretty view of the pool. The shrimp and lamb kabobs were the best things. The wine was good too. Trout dry. Chicken better.

It's a hotel lobby restaurant. The place is beautiful, with decorations and superb natural light. The food is ok, nothing special, but terrible service. They are not prepared for a Sunday brunch service. The "fresh squeeze natural juice " is a joke, it's from a Kroeger jar. Our food came prior to our coffee, and when the coffee finally arrived was the wrong one. I asked for the Salmon, and after 30 minutes of waiting, they said that it was no longer available, but I could see other tables getting the same dish. Overall I will not recommend it until they figure it out the quality and organization of service.

Terrible. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes just for water to be poured. It was only poured after 20 minutes because I got up and asked if someone was ever going to come to our table. We placed our food and beverage order when the water was poured. My iced tea was delivered to the table and another 22 minutes passed. I got up again with my empty glass of iced tea, went up to a server and asked if I could have a refill on my iced tea and if our order was even placed. He refilled my iced tea and confirmed that the order was placed. Finally a few minutes later our food was delivered to the table and we were asked if there was anything else that could be done for us and I said that we were basically serving ourselves because no one ever came to our table without my asking. The server apologized, said he would comp our meal, and literally never came to our table again. I went to Anise for brunch after receiving multiple promotional e-mails about their new brunch menu and cocktails. If the restaurant is not staffed to actually serve or accommodate guests, it shouldn’t be soliciting additional traffic. It was horrible service—atrocious.

Beautiful restaurant, bright & modern. Staff very friendly. We arrived ordered and watched everyone who were seated after us receive their food but we never received ours. Had to ask about it, once we got our food it was cold & undercooked. Disappointed!

Waited 30 minutes for our reservation with no apology or offer to make up anything. Very over priced meat and cheese board. Some dishes were good (trout, ricotta, shrimp kabob) but many were not memorable. Service was slow and poorly paced. Would not recommend.

The ambiance was lovely and our server was delightful. However, the overall value fell short . The already shortlisted menu choices were further reduced and items were not available that evening. Ex: We had read rave reviews about the lamb shoulder. Not on the menu anymore. The only lamb small plate was sold out. Also, only 2 deserts were offered. One of them, the chocolate dessert, was sold out, too. There was choice of 4 main course items: Vegetarian couscous salad ( it was not authentic and overpriced for what it was), chicken, trout and flank steak( which good but heavy on the spices and over priced for flank steak ( Not intriguing). The octopus was good , but like the other dishes, it tended to be overdone on the cumin and Moroccan spices and strayed too far from the French Laundry and Bouchon style of cuisine we came for.

The food was excellent - I had the hummus and shrimp kebab. My server was excellent - she had great recommendations and gave me the perfect amount of attention and space given I was on a solo date. Would definitely return and try more!
