At Angelo's Restaurant, in Washington, you can look forward to a menu featuring authentic Italian flavors. With over 75 years of experience serving the community, you can be sure every recipe on the dish is time and taste-tested for quality.
Antipasti and other appetizers make a good start for a meal at Angelo's Restaurant. Try the zuppe del giornio, roasted tomatos or shrimp cocktail. For main courses, take your time perusing the offering of pastas, meat dishes and seafood available on the menu. Traditional favorites include angel hair with marinara sauce, eggplant parmigiana and pork chops. Angelo's Restaurant also creates a number of sandwiches and panini to choose from.
Have eaten here many times. The food and the service are excellent. Great wine list and good bar scene. The pasta dishes are outstanding and the meatballs to die for
Angelo's Restaurant serves a variety of seafood, pasta, chicken, veal, and steak dishes in a great ambience. Service is good. Meals are appropriately priced.
I understand why it's been here since 1939. A little difficult to find if you're not from the area. But that's why we have GPS, right? Food is incredible, fresh, and served promptly so it's hot. Personal service. Many dishes are original and have a story behind them. I highly recommend!!!
Whenever my son and his wife fly in from Idaho, our family's first stop is always Angelo's. Great food, terrific wait staff, great dining atmosphere. Always at the top of our list for dining
This was our second time at Angelo's and they did not disappoint. The food is simply excellent and the portions were as much as one could possibly eat. But the service often makes the difference and out waiter and servers were attentive and professional. We were there for a special occasion and Angelo's ended up being the perfect spot. When I find something that works for me I like to do it again and again, and I'll be coming back here often. Great dining experience.
We'd like to thank Angelo's once again for a great dining experience. We live out of state but go there every time we are in Washington. The menu is full of unique meals and we are enjoying working our way threw the menu. There is something for everyone, even for those with an adventurous pallet. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!
We went for a late night special Graduation dinner. Out of town guest loved the food as we knew they would. Our server was very attentive.
The Graduate has another great memory from Graduation Week thanks to our lovely dinner at Angelo's.
Overall was excellent, but a little loud from kitchen area.
The food is excellent! Also, I really liked the gelato for dessert.
Driving through to Ohio, found the restaurant online, made reservation (thank goodness) great food and service.
Love Angelos. We go there quite often. Wonderful food ( I love the Eggplant Parm). Great Gelato!
Food and service is always good . Love the gelato.
Serves truly authentic Italian cuisine punctuated by flavorful fragrant tomato sauce. Italian food cooked by Italians. Good quality pasta cooked perfectly al dente Small but decent wine list too.
Being Italian, I tend not to eat in Italian restaurants because I generally find most lacking. Angelo's is an exception. This is nonna's cooking :-)
Some of the best Italian food and reasonable prices...perfect find. Some waiters are the absolute-best you'll find...others not so much. Mark is probably the best with great attention to detail and even wine-pairing knowledge.
Angelo's brought back fond memories of Italy for me. From the aromas of my relative's cooking, to the décor, service and of course the gelato!
Quite simply one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere!
Lasagna and linguini with red clam sauce were excellent. Table of 16 near us, 10 kids under 7, so it was chaotic. Noisy overall, service was just ok. Ordered wine and the first 3 choices were unavailable. Our second visit, and we'd keep the same ratings.
Angelo's Restaurant in Washington, Pennsylvania is one of the town's few great restaurants... good food, service, and ambience. The owner who took over running the restaurant from his parents has done a wonderful job of keeping the standards of operation of the restaurant at a high level. Rather than let the restaurant get 'tired' at its original location (with parking across the street from the restaurant on a very busy street), Michael relocated to a more upscale location in a brand new building that encourages and accomodates dining as well as private parties. Good seafood, steaks, veal, chicken, and pasta dishes!!!
Me and my husband dine at Angelos at least once a week. Best Italian food in Washington County.
We liked the appetizers and the gelato
Not really our entrees. Thought they were very average. Expected more from the pasta!
Drove all the out from Dormont, Allegheny County -- on Sunday for lunch to celebrate a birthday -- only to find that from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., they only serve a brunch buffet. Angelo's website listed hours of operation, but nothing about buffet only (with the usual stuff you find at a VFW wedding reception - mostaccioli and meatballs, etc..) -- extremely disappointed. Left and went elsewhere. The staff members, however, the hostess and the server who took our drink orders, were extremely friendly. Nice atmosphere, Clean, food smelled great - just would have appreciated a heads-up on the website about the restricted menu so we could have gone later in the day, or another day of the week entirely.
I have been at this restaurant many times, and am pleased with the convienence of open table
The food was amazing! I was still thinking about that dinner the next day! Angelo's is our number one Italian restaurant. I wish we lived closer to the restaurant, we would eat there every week! We have never had a bad meal yet. It's always our go to restaurant for special occasions.
We arrived an hour before our reservation time (we were traveling) and they accepted us with open arms. We had all intentions of waiting until our time, but they were able to find a table for us. The service was great. The food was good, although a little pricey, but portions are big. Even though it is an Italian restaurant, they have choices for everyone. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was a very relaxing atmosphere.
Nice, traditional spot for an Italian meal. Very willing to please.
I had heard good things about Angelo's Restaurant and am glad that I listened to them. Our "girl's night out" dinner was wonderful---from the appetizers and wine to the delicious pasta entrees to the homemade gelato---yum! I know that I will return to Angelo's again.
Made a reservation, we were running late, called the restaurant to inform them, arrived 8 minutes after reservation time...our table was given to another party so we had to "wait" . So much for making a reservation and calling about arrival time. Hostess defiantly abused her title. We have gone to this for years and have often made reservations. Never has this ever happened to us.
Hostess needs to take her "power" badge off and work on her social skills.
The service was great from the time we walked in the door until we left. We both had the soup of the day, a creamy chicken and potato soup which was delicious. The lasagne was very good and was a nice sized portion. The pasta dish with the fresh vegetables was very tasty and was enough for lunch the following day. We will definitely dine here again and try to save room for some gelato which looked very good.
Always enjoy coming here. Our waiter - Adam - was outstanding as was the meal and wine.
we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of the menu and the quality of the food.
"I was presently surprised when we arrived to find our party of 5 being ushered back to a private room. It was very comfortable and perfect as one in our group was 88 and usually has trouble hearing in settings such as this. Our flat bread special and the zucchini appetizers were quite good and our main courses were superb as well. Our waitress brought plates for our homemade cupcakes and we also indulged in the gelato. "
The balsamic chicken was a delicious dish! I'm not a big fan of Brussels sprouts and I would request them again at Amgelo's!
Our reservation for four was at 7:30 p.m.;. the restaurant was crowded but our table was ready in a beautiful lit corner. The waiter was very prompt to our table for our drinks and appetizers order. We did not order from their expansive wine list but the appetizers were quickly prepared and delicious. The salads were crisp and dressing served on the side. The meat in our entrees was tender and very flavorful. We always save room for their fantastic desserts. Our waiter was great and never rushed us but made us feel comfortable and attentive to the last moment. This restaurant's staff is so friendly that I would definitely recommend this business to anyone.
I was craving Angelo's flatbreads, and the prosciutto with roasted red peppers was perfect. We also had the beans and greens and it was delicious. My new go-to place when I need good flatbread, which I can't get in my own hometown.
Very good food, fairly priced. Blowschain Italian off
When passing through Washington it is a definite
Seating is cramped. Food quality about the same as Olive Garden. Waitresses average. Greeter must have been having a bad day or is related to owner or management. We party of 4 and all felt the same. Very cramped seating and little privacy.
Made reservation for family of 6 adults & an 18 month old. Seated immediately. Wonderful seats for the group especially with the baby. Food & wine was great. Only negative was a little slow service; however, it was a very busy Sat. night Would return in a heartbeat.
My girlfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time this past weekend. We really enjoyed the food and the cozy relaxing atmosphere. The menu itself was very nicely laid out and extensive. We would definitely go back.
Though I felt a little bit of pAsta with veggies on top for $16 was rather outrageous but best overall experience yet. I haven't noticed reviews making any difference with anything but hope leaving them helps to make some.
One of the best restaurants in the Pittsburgh area, great Italian food, family owned for over 70 years. I've been dining at Michael's for over 17 years now, it is one of the best and my favorite.
