The food is meh, but it's very convenient if you are attending a Broadway show and you have a bunch of picky eaters. They have many vegan options and served plain buttered spaghetti to the picky eater with us.
Awesome pizza! Will come back!
Overall a good experience. Our group shared everything family style and has a classic pizza, a meatball pizza, penne vodka, and fried calamari. All of the food was good and the serving suggestions on the menu were good gauges. Nothing to complain about but the food didn’t have a wow factor. The restaurant was a great place to catch up with good friends at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a family restaurant and will be back myself.
WE WISH STAFF TOLD US NOT TO ORDER FAMILY PASTA BOWLS WAY TO MUCH FOOD WHICH ENDED UP BEING WASTER
WAITRESS SHOULD LET YOU KNOW PORTION SIZE
They were very busy as it was a Friday....but got us seated quickly.
Pizza was great...Alfredo even better.
At first we had trouble getting a table upstairs...but the Manager came over and immediately took care of us. Food and service were excellent. Price, for a NYC restaurant, was reasonable.
Pre-theatre dinner celebrating Valentines Day. Great appetizers, super pizzas. Our service was great. The manager even came over because he thought we hadn’t been addressed but we had already given our drink orders.
Decorated beautiful for V-day.
Great new find! We will definitely be back.
Food was lackluster, something definitely changed. The pizza was soggy and cheese not fully melted. Nothing was tasty.
Angelo's is a great place for pizza or a regular meal when you are attending a show at one of the theatres on the north end of the theatre district or the Late Show.
The food is very good, the service always excellent.
We always love Angelo's pizza - the pizza and salads are all great whenever we go there! You can get in and out for a nice dinner quickly if you're heading to a show or concert too! We'll be back ~
I've been coming here for years. Always good however this time the prices were raised and the portions were a lot smaller than they used to be.
We arrived early, but were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. I had made reservations on Open Table, and mentioned that is was my boyfriends birthday. Without reminding anyone, they brought over a tiramasu after dinner. We were not rushed even though the restaurant was getting busy. We will definitely go back again!
Awesome food and great service. Loved the atmosphere!
Enjoyed the food. Very good pizza.
First time to try. As much as I fell in love with the pizza the rest of the experience was pretty dreadful.
I booked my reservation on Open Table to guarantee my table. However, when we arrived they seated the two teenagers ahead of me and acted like I was troubling them to make sure that they noted my open table reservation. We then sat unattended to for over ten minutes. I had to grab the hostess and ask her to get us a server. Never once did I hear an apology and they weren’t really busy.
We immediately placed our food and drink order. It was 7:33 and I made note of that with my other diners to see how long it would take. It took us over 50 minutes to get our pizza.
Lastly, we were offered refills ( which shocked me) but they failed to mention that they weren’t free. I realize in NYC a lot of places don’t offer that but some do. I think it’s fair to mention it.
Great pizza but terrible service. I even wrote the word slow on my credit card payment slip to them.
Angelos is always a must when in Manhattan! The pizza is wonderful!
La pizza peggiore della nostra vita. ORRIBILE . NON ANDATE
We chose this spot based on reviews and it’s close proximity to the Neil Simon Theater. Our reservation was accommodated promptly without a wait; chicken parm dinner was very good...pizza was good but not as great as anticipated. Service was very good. Overall would go back.
Even thought we had reservation thru Open Table we had to wait and be seated after all walk-ins. According to hostess it was not ‘fair’ to make them wait !!
So us, with a reservation, had to wait for all walk-ins to be seated before we got seated.
Pizza was great, rigatoni no so much. Pasta was tough and flavor was not good.
Overall place is good for pizza and our waiter was great.
At the entrance the girls were so rude saying oh we are sorry you need to wait at least 45min or reserve tomorrow, then I’ve done it through OpenTable to be seated within 15min and they didn’t ask the rest of the customers about any reservation. The pizza is overpriced and the taste isn’t interesting I would not recommend it for anyone. Italians will get mad eating an asian taste pizza there :(
We ate at the one on 57th on our first night and it was awesome! The one on Broadway- the main location- was not even close. We probably just had a bad experience though. They were really busy and I ordered a beer to have before my meal. The pizza came super quick and was not even that hot ironically. The cheese was not fully melted and was separated from other ingredients. Too much and too chewy. Beer came with food instead of before so I didn’t want it. Waitress was not happy so ignored us after and tried to charge me for it. Will never go back to Broadway location.
Good place, good value.
We had previously had dinner there about 3 months ago. The food was better and portions were bigger. I feel that they sacrificed quality for the sake of serving more customers on a very busy night. Not good! Paid top dollar for our dinners including a seafood risotto that only contained risotto and a few shrimp on a skewer. Clearly that was not by design. The 27 dollar pizza pie was better than our meals.
Was able to get an immediate reservation. They were busy but walked in and a table was ready. Pizza was very good
It was great.
First place we chose to eat. Great experience
PreRockets it was mobbed. They honored our reservation & served everyone promptly. Pizza was quite tasty.
Took a party of ten at 4:30. I liken this restaurant to a cafeteria style atmosphere. One big room upstairs. We were placed at two tables meant for six people. So, we were really jammed in and very close to other tables. Very hot environment with over a hundred people, maybe 200 people, in the room. Couldn’t wait to get some fresh air. Waiter was very attentive given the somewhat chaotic environment. Compliments to him. Had calamari appetizers - grilled and fried - both phenomenal. Salads were excellent, as was the pizza. Really good. Other main entrees were fair. Drinks VERY pricey - be warned. To its roots, this really is an excellent pizzeria, but not much more. Had a good time for a last minute reservation. But, if you go beyond pizza and a beer, be prepared to spend for something you could get at a much more upscale restaurant.
Made a reservation. Continues to take other walkins before us. Hostess seemed overwhelmed and didn’t care about order of arrival. Food was good once we were finally seated.
Convenient to our hotel. Pizza was good, service was good.
Delicious Pizza, friendly staff, plenty of tables, and a great location just off Broadway. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there twice during our short stay in New York.
We chose Angelos because we wanted some NY pizza and it happened to be right next to Stephen Colbert's show.
The lighting was very bright. The hostess seemed annoyed that he had to seat us.
Our waitress had noooooo tableside manners. She never checked on our table until it was time to give us our check. She needs to be retrained along with management.
There was No table touching. More of a prison warden walking around with no smile.
The food runners were more polite and smiled more than the servers.
Overall, the margarita pizza we had was really delicious!!
I've heard great things about this pizza location but was very disappointed in the ambiance and service. Sad.
Amazing food & lovely staff - plenty of choice other than pizza including amazing pasta and antipasti. I will recommend this restaurant to all friends visiting NYC.
The Pizza was very undercooked and not just ours but many people’s pizzas. You could see the top of the dough was almost raw and the cheese was not really even melted. The service was good! The music was really loud.
